Thanks Jeanie. I really don't know what the difference is this time! I do know I have done this 3 times before and I always screw it up and gain all the at back. Maintaining is so much more difficult than losing for me hoping for a different outcome this time

Chugging along but totally falling of the wagon interns of gym/yoga

Tomorrow that's the plan but that was also the plan today and I just didn't want to drag myself there... Tomorrow is earlier in the afternoon so maybe that will be the key

Congrats on your 30lb loss! When I have lost weight in the past I would get comments about being too skinny even though I was still quite overweight. I think people get so used to seeing us with round faces and thicker limbs that when they see us heading toward a normal weight we just don't look the same.

Day 99!

OMG if anyone would have told me I'd be binge free for 99 days I would have laughed but here I am with a combination of supplement (that I think actually saved my sanity) and determination I have gone from a size 14/16 to a size 10 and lost over 30 lbs in the process. I love the food I eat although I do miss pasta and real pizza
I can get a decent pizza from a LC place a few towns over I'm just not that interested yet. Pasta will have to wait until I reach goal and then dreamfields or something else if there is anything else out there.

Posting for the first time on this site - I've honed in on the binge/compulsive overeating areas of the site - because that is where I'm at. I'm not trying to be mysterious with my (lack of) stats - I just don't know if low carb is the way to go for me - so I'd like to keep an open mind and perhaps learn from others for a while. I know this: I am eating like an insatiable scavenger and this is not a new phenomenon. Phenomena? I've been scouring the internet for an active, supportive site where I will fit in and know of a couple of people who have found help here.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, Biochic. Rather, I've read your posts and can relate and thought this (your wall!) a good place to start.

Not much here except me posting for personal accountability. The 30 day binge free challenge is a much more active thread. I'm not sure if you have read thru that or not.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Being binge free for this long is a totally new experience for me. The Diet Cure was helpful- there is a companion website if you aren't interested in the book.

I will head on over to those sites - that is where I came across your posts - and wanted to reach out to you directly - and figured the best way to do so is here. I'm appreciative of the response - it's good to be on an active site - god knows, the urges are with me 24 hours/day - so I need to have a place to go (and be heard, for now) about the same amount of time. Maybe a bit more. Ugh. Neediness.

I could not have done half as well with out the support of the people on the binge challenge thread. I also know that I am one slip away from 192 lbs again I have fought this battle many times and I have been successful with wt loss but life long maintenance is elusive I consider my issue to be similar to an alcoholic. They can't have one drink and I can't eat certain foods. Knowing and doing or staying clean for life is so difficult. Especially since the binge has a sedative impact. The trick so far has been to find a way to manage the trigger which for me seemed to be anxiety. Once I got that under control, the need to binge has vanished. The Diet Cure helped me decide to take some supplements and I also started doing yoga.
