The fat sister, the fat mom, the fatty McFatty NO MORE!!!

Hi all! I've decided to start my own journal
Here is a quick history about me. I have been overweight my whole life. Always the fat sister. My sister got all the attention from the boys, and I was always a third wheel
I'm the one wearing the pink and purple polka dot outfit, lol

As a teenager, it didn't get any better. I was overweight, even obese and as a result suffered terrible self-esteem and had trouble making friends. My weight fluctuated between 175 and 210.

A year after graduating high school, after attending 2 different colleges and dropping out of both, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. At the time I was dating someone in the Army and saw many of the benefits of going that route. I decided to join the Navy ( not sure why I picked that one ) but I had to weigh at least 160 lbs or less before they would let me join. At the time I was 190. So with my recruiter's help and about 4-6 hours of exercise each day, I finally got down to 160 lbs!

Well about 3 weeks before I reached 160 lbs, I met someone! (my previous Army boyfriend had been cheating on me, so needless to say, that was over) I very quickly fell in love and then had to make the difficult decision on whether or not to join the Navy or stay here with my new found love...

I chose LOVE

And well, 2 months later we were married! Yup quick! Happiness makes you gain weight! In about 6 months, I went from 160lbs to 205lbs...Then I got pregnant!!! My first amazing daughter:

I gained 65 lbs during my pregnancy After giving birth, I eventually settled at 245 lbs (My highest non-pregnancy weight) I didn't do much to lose the weight and after 18 months, I got pregnant again! This time I only gained 30 lbs, but got diagnosed with gestational diabetes It was so out of control that diet alone couldn't stop my blood sugar numbers from rising and toward the end of my pregnancy, I needed 2 different kinds of insulin 4 times a day, and even then, my blood sugar was bad and they had to induce me early...I hate needles, and sat crying for at least 15 minutes before every injection (I had to do it myself because my husband was even more of a scaredy cat than me!)

Anyway, after giving birth, my body once again settled at 245lbs.

But at least I had another beautiful daughter to show for it!

I was determined to lose weight after the doctor's kept telling me there was a good chance I could develop Type 2 diabetes in the near future. Not to mention, I wanted more kids, and never ever wanted to deal with insulin and gestational diabetes again!!! In 1 year, I went from 245lbs to 180lbs and maintained it for almost a year.

In November of 2011, my friend, her husband and their 2 kids moved into our house since they were having financial troubles. It was such a stressful situation for me, that I once again ballooned up to 205lbs (In only 2 months!!!) The family moved in January of 2012, and then just when I was ready to lose the weight and regain my health, I find out I am pregnant again

For some reason, I gained 50lbs this pregnancy, I was stressed out with disobedient kids and turned to food for comfort I think. In October 2012, a healthy baby boy was born!!!

At 6 weeks postpartum, my body settled at 229 lbs. So here I am again, with lots of weight to lose, but this time, I want to get to goal! I want to weight 140 lbs or less!!! I took some before pictures as motivation, and will try to take new ones every month until I hit goal.

I've done Atkins in the past and LOVED IT!!! So December 6th, I started Induction. I kept seeing "JUDDD" in people's signature on the forums, so curious, I went to the JUDDD board to investigate. I was so intrigued by the idea that I decided to try low carb JUDDD. I have been doing it since December 9th and after almost 5 days and 6 lbs, I am in love

This is definitely something I can see sticking with for the rest of my life! I look forward to losing more and more weight, writing down my daily menus, and recording my weight loss journey here! I will try to post something every day, and expect a lot of pictures, because I love pictures!!!

For the time being, I am doing daily weigh-ins. Here is what I have so far:
Dec 6- 227.7
Dec 7- 225.9
Dec 8- 225.8
Dec 9- 225.4
Dec 10- 222.6
Dec 11- 224.1
Dec 12- 221.7
Dec 13- 221.3

Yesterday, was the first time that I was able to fit into non pregnancy pants since my son was born. They were an Old Navy size 18 pair of jeans, and even though I was able to zip them up all the way, they were super tight and I had a terrible muffin top I love Old Navy jeans. They are comfortable and are made big (definitely vanity sizing, but I love them) When I weighed 180 lbs, I fit comfortably in my Old Navy size 14 jeans and they are hanging up in my closet waiting to be worn! When I weighed 160lbs I fit comfortably in size 10 Old Navy jeans, and those are folded up in a box, also waiting to be worn I love me some jeans, they are without a doubt my favorite article of clothing. Maybe one day, I'll be a size 6...or even a 4...*Droool*

Awww thank you so much GailyGail
JUDDD has definitely been fun and shown great results already, and I see a lot of people easily maintaining their weight loss with JUDDD. That was one of the things that drew me to it especially!

Hi Chantal. Your story is so similar to mine in some ways. Lots of ups and downs with my weight. I too am working towards 140ish and am currently around 240. I did LC/JUDDD earlier this year and had a lot of success with it. I'm doing it again - day 2. Nice to meet you!

Today will be a busy day. I am visiting a friend and we are going to be making some Christmas decorations. Hopefully I will be able stay on plan since I will not be in my own house with my own food!

I am feeling down today, not sure why. I guess I'm upset that I let myself gain so much weight during my pregnancy. I really feel like I should be below 200 lbs right now, but it just seems to be taking so long!

I have to at least be happy that I am losing weight during the holidays and I'm not even craving any sweets, which is an accomplishment in itself. I am excited to spend time with my friend and I will hopefully be distracted enough to forget about feeling down today!

Oh my gosh I am in tears after reading about the shooting at the Connecticut elementary school. So far 20 children have been killed (most of them in Kindergarden...) and 6 adults dead. Well this reinforces my decision to homeschool my kids! I'm going to go hug my kids now...

I just do regular JUDDD. I resisted anything involving calorie counting but have come to realize that it was just me being in denial My body loves DD's and all the fasting..never thought I would look forward to those days!

I also enjoy the DD's so much more than UP's. There is a peacefulness I feel on those days. My mind is not constantly thinking about food, so I tend to be more productive on DD's, lol. And I don't even get that hungry, they are super easy to do! I'm thinking about adding carbs back in soon and just doing normal JUDDD.

This is a little late! Today has been busy!

Dec 6- 227.7
Dec 7- 225.9
Dec 8- 225.8
Dec 9- 225.4
Dec 10- 222.6
Dec 11- 224.1
Dec 12- 221.7
Dec 13- 221.3
Dec 14- 221.1
Dec 15- 222.4

Yesterday was an UD, so this morning's weight gain was expected. JUDDD has definitely taught me to be more accepting of fluctuations in my weight, so that's good

Today is a DD, and I have challenged myself to have nothing but calorie free or low calorie liquids. I have had lots of water, coffee with almond milk, and some broth. I was curious to see if I could go all day without eating! It is now a little past 5:00 and I am doing great Not even hungry! I have a feeling tomorrow I will have a good loss!!!

In other news, my digital camera has decided to break I will have to learn to use the camera on my phone for the time being if I want to take pictures. And figure out how to put them on my computer? I am not very tech savvy...

10 days until Christmas! I am excited, and also realizing how much more I have to do!!!

Glad to know I'm not the only one with a list a mile long still! Every year I say I'm not going to get behind..... uhhhhhh, yeah....

Looks like you're doing well!
I hate those UD weigh-in's..but I'm learning to not let it affect my moods...all it takes is an awesome DD weigh in to cure it!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Dec 16- 220.7 Woohoo!

I had absolutely no food yesterday! I succeeded with my attempt at a liquid fast.

Today is a MD for me since I need to switch up my rotations for a date night tomorrow I will try to keep my calories probably closer to a DD but let myself go over if I feel the need to. I am so excited to be going out with my hubby, it has been wayyyyy too long, and I need it! I love my kids, but staying home with them everyday does wear me out and I need some adult conversation!

I'm at an awkward place in my weight loss right now...I have been wearing my pregnancy clothes since giving birth, but they are now way too big! Unfortunately I am still 15 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight, so the clothes I wore then are still too tight. I actually wore yoga pants to church this morning I had no choice! I could buy some cheap goodwill clothes until my smaller clothes fit me, but I feel like that will be a waste of money since I don't feel I will be at this weight for long. I can fit into 2 of my size 18 jeans but they are so tight that it hurts to sit...

Hmmmm...I'm undecided. Not sure what I will wear for date night either. I might have to pull out the yoga pants again.

Oh well...I'm going to go clean now! Toodles

I hope so Gail

So as I'm cleaning my living room, I realize I have another project to tackle...

You can tell I have toddlers! Notice how there are no ornaments at the bottom and all the branches are pushed downward, I have been meaning to fix the mess that is our Christmas tree, but have just been too lazy.

Well, I fixed it!

Here's hoping it stays that way until Christmas...Bah!

Beautiful tree and congratulations on your new low!!

Earlier this year, I started JUDDD at 257 and got down to 221 - so 36 pounds with JUDDD and LC combined. I lost at a 2-3 pound per week pace with no stalls. Then I let a bunch of stressful life situations make me get off plan. At first I stopped JUDDDing and kept LCing and maintained my weight. But then I stopped watching anything and regained 27 pounds. So I'm back at it.

Well I made it through the holidays in one piece! For a few days there, I added carbs back in because I so desperately wanted to indulge in sweets I didn't weigh myself but I know it must have been bad because all of a sudden none of my clothes fit and I had to pull out my pregnancy pants just to have something to wear On Christmas Eve, I realized I was being stupid and went ahead and restarted LC. I've stayed under 20 net carbs the past 3 days and my normal pants are finally starting to fit again I love LC soooo freaking much, I really don't know why I ever stop doing it....

Anyway, here is a picture of my siblings and I on Christmas at a party I hosted. I still had to wear my preggy pants at this point, so I was a little upset, but I didn't let it ruin my night. We had so much fun, I love them all!

I'm so happy that I've been consistently losing the last few days! I have so many cookies, chocolates, and treats in the house (given as gifts during Christmas) and I have been successfully avoiding them! My kids have been taking care of eating them, lol. But I can't wait until they are no longer in the house because I don't like my kids eating so much junk. I usually never buy cookies, chips, candy, etc...So they are loving this!

I got 2 Jillian Michaels DVDs for Christmas and a 10 lb kettlebell I am breaking open Jillian Michaels Extreme Shed and Shred and getting my workout on! I'll probably be sore tomorrow, and that is one of the best feelings in the world. I used to be addicted to exercise, and honestly if I didn't have kids and responsibilities, I could easily become addicted again. But as of now, I only have about 30-45 minutes a day to exercise if I'm lucky. But at least that's better than nothing!!!

Brave girl with the Jillian Michaels stuff LMK how you like them, she is definitely about results! Don't sweat the bounce, it'll be gone before ya know it.

I absolutely love her! She is a big reason I was able to lose 60+ lbs 2 years ago. But gosh yeah...she is hardcore and definitely kills me
