I've been slacking on adding to my journal. I can see that I might not be as diligent as some in writing about daily experiences/struggles. Mainly because it would be repetitive.
I write so many posts on the board, my journal seems almost irrelevant, lol.One thing I will write about that's got me feeling a bit anxious is next week at work. It's already been established as the week everyone brings appetizers and sweets to share...all week long! It is also a week where my DD's are MWF, so for three days I'm going to have to look at all this stuff and abstain. Plus, the treats are being set up in my department, within my eyesight from my desk. ALL DAY LONG. Everyone send me strength vibes because this week is going to do my head in!![]()

![]() What are your favorite super-low-cal eats? I'd make sure to have a really good quantity of them on hand for every DD this week. And maybe some SF cocoa mix, too. I'm determined to reign in my cravings this week, too...we can do this! ![]() |

I will plan to bring myself some low-cal snacks I can have, but no one would appreciate a low cal treat for the snack table, lol. ![]() |

Yes it would be lot of positive JUDDD thinking to set near the stuff.
It really isn't good for us! How About if u told urself sure I can have that- at the end of the day. Fr me it would be as I was heading out the door with purse and coat in hand! No lingering around. Years go at a hospital I worked at. Had a tradition Starting thanks giving day. The dinning room tables were stocked with fresh fruit. All kinds. FREE. The smell was always awesome! I think about that at holidays. Good memory. I like to keep fruits also.. For the great aromatherapy! Plus It's all good for us, yes not a low calorie. But much better than the other option. My small garden club is giving our small town city workers a thank you luncheon as a gift. for all they do through the year to help our club. A fruit plate is on the menu....yes other high fat, and sugar items, hey it's Xmas! Looking forward to it! |

That's an idea, if anyone brings fruit.
I don't have anything but two oranges and I doubt that would work. Maybe there will be some raw veggies I can eat, minus the dip. |

If anyone hasn't read "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield, put it on your list.
Also love all of Kate Morton's books, especially "The House at Riverton". Reminded me so much of "Downton Abbey". ![]() Last edited by Librarygirl; 12-09-2012 at 04:24 PM.. |

Kate Morton's latest book The Secret Keeper was a disappointment. I loved her 1st three.

I know, Cindy. I started reading it and returned it, lol, and got a refund (Amazon). It wasn't worth my time...I have so many books on my list to read, not to mention an obligation to read one book a month for review, I can't waste my time on anything I don't enjoy.

Absolutely, so refreshingly different.
Such fun talking books, I used to read more before JUDDD, I am on here half my life these days. |

No, I haven't read The Night Circus, although I will now.
![]() Have any of you read anything by Lisa Unger? I love her writing, as it's very suspenseful, which is what I love. "Darkness, My Old Friend" is the latest one I've read. I want to read all of hers! ![]() Cindy, have you read the Nicci French books? I enjoyed those too. I was surprised it was a husband/wife duo, actually. Lots of books about violent, abusive relationships and revenge. Last edited by Librarygirl; 12-10-2012 at 09:18 AM.. |

Yes I've read a couple and agree it is very interesting they way they write as a couple. I am not a huge fan of the genre, although I think what I have read of theirs is first rate. I like to shake things up a bit so I don't get stuck in a reading rut.
