Thanks girls,
The wt. is still dropping daily. And temps are improving.
Molly just jumped into the wet-cement pad! Right up to her belly & sinking fast... it washed off & was smoothed over... funny!

Hope you enjoy your 4th of July.

That little rascal! She wanted to leave her mark on this world. The 4th is just cool, quiet and wet here. Low 60's, if you can believe it! Hurricane Arthur just off the coast is the reason. I've got the windows open and I'm diggin' it. The Independence Day fireworks stuff will be this weekend cause it's going to be amazing weather by then.

That's great Cheryl! Hope the storm only brings good stuff to you. Molly had a real 'shock' when the floor was 'mushy'! She won't go near it now!
Yeah Laura, its nice to be getting back into my comfort zone! So hard, when I don't know why it is creeping up... if this happens again (& you remember) please remind me to go to the naturopath! its all because of the adrenals->causing the thyroid to drop. But the silly thyroid messes with my brain, making foggy, so as not to 'clue-in' to it!
I had a nice relaxing day, catching up the books while DH worked on his addition to the shop) making a garage for the motorcycle etc. Oh yeah, I cooked a tasty pot roast & a whole pot of kidney beans (which I'm freezing) for future easy use. I really enjoyed the chili's I got to eat while traveling.
Have a good, safe evening!

It's funny cause you say you've been struggling and unbalanced and I think you are rocking maintenance like a pro. Anyway, I'm glad you're feeling right where you want to be and thank the Naturopath for being the answer for you. Enjoy your weekend, Deb.

Yeah, it sounds minimal (5 lbs) when you're looking at more... but I really loved feeling great!
We just got back from a walk. DH put the ball thrower on my van last night & forgot. So when I ran Molly I lost it on the driveway. Saw the thrower & picked it up on the drive. But we had to go beat the 5 ft. grass to find the ball... but we did! Its gorgeous all be it cool out tonight.

Cool and gorgeous here, too. In fact, I heard another LCF say that it's cooler and gorgeous in MS too. What the heck is going on around here? The hurricane and a cold front broke the hot/muggy trend we were in but what explains the relief being felt all over these places?

Glad you found the ball and thrower.

Don't worry. It was back to wretched today. T-storms at 8-9 pm followed by 100% clear sky but air so thick with humidity that I had to use my intermittent wipers all the way home in order to see. What a freaking day. Wish I hadn't agreed to work today. It ended up being quite a bad decision, as things played out. Oh well. Crying all the way to the piggy bank.

Its been busy. Not much time online at night.
We have a motorcyclist staying with us, for the last 3 days. His bike needed work, so its torn apart in our garage... as the parts are being shipped to us as well. We met him up near Jasper. A french man from Germany, doing a year-long tour of North America. Fun.
I seem to be making progress at work, finally. Its just so busy right now, that getting to the books & what was lagging behind (from our trip) has been hard. But I'm just about done with those now.
The heat let up today too. Didn't even hit 70.
The farmer bailed the hay & Molly has been barking at the big bails in the field. So tonight I took her down there & she got to check out the scarey ball. She's pretty happy about that now.
Hope everyone is doing well.

A French man from Germany touring North America? What a fun visitor he must be! Would love to hear more about him.

WTG on catching up on the books. I love the weather you're having. I'm glad Molly got to check out the hay balls up close and personal. I've always loved driving through the country and seeing fields with those round bales dotting the scene. I've heard that round bales are only good for cattle, not for horses. I guess it can get mildewy. Makes sense cause they are out in all weather.

Have a great time with your house guest. Find some quiet time for yourself and enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi,
Our grateful guest is on the road again... left this morning.

T'was 90 here today... heat wave! Well, it feels a lot hotter for some reason up here, something to do with humidity I guess.

I worked today (usually my day off), over 8 hrs; getting bank stuff & financial reports done. One of the church employees did the deposit by photo... then his wife deposited the original & they both went through! LOL... mess to straighten up. Will be fine now. But it sure used up a lot of my time.

Then I had to go do some shopping in "hot" (90) town with Molly. I was able to find shady spots & walk a ways, since it was almost 5 pm. Usually I go at 1 pm & there's no shade.

Then we picked up Bella (DS's dog), she's staying the week-end with us. DH took them both back to the creek & they went swimming... Molly actually 'swam' this time. Last year she would only 'wade' up to her neck, but not swim. Guess she loved it. I was too tired & hungry to go. Relaxing in our nice cool (70) family room in the basement. Still 86 degrees outside.

My temps have been low again. For sure its the stress - wrecking havoc with my adrenals. My job is more challenging this year... retirement is looking more & more desirable..

Thanks for your encouragement... unfortunately I wasn't caught up on the books enough... just the bills.

Hope you all have a good week-end!

Busy day for you! No wonder your temp is low with that stress. Wish you could have gone swimming with the dogs and your hubby. If it's that place that looks like a canyon, I wish I could go swimming in it, too. (YKWIM, right? High rock wall?) It was lovely here today. Just 80 and low humidity. No breeze and no clouds. Now it's dropping to 60 degrees and all the windows are open for the night.

Midnight here. Must go to sleep. So tired. Bet you are too. Sleep well. Enjoy your Saturday.

I don't miss humidity! It certainly drains you! Hope once you're caught up and back on your regular routine it'll be a bit easier. On the other hand, I dream of retirement too!

Thanks for stopping by!
Yeah, if it was humid her I'd die Happily its under 70 degrees in our basement!
I don't like swimming anymore. Much prefer the cool basement & relaxing where its comfortable, no bugs, & no sun.
Today I did laundry, getting ready for a new guest tomorrow night. Then we went to a memorial for a lady from our church.
DH has gone to help friends with bringing in their hay tonight... its 90 degrees.
If things continue to be so stressful, I will have to retire. They'll probably have to divide the job into two positions, its just too busy to do both.
Enjoyed Nacho's for lunch today... & cooked a pork roast in the crock pot for dinner.

Our guest had to pass us by. His trip got all messed up from delays, so he had to catch up time.

Laura, I am 'thinking' about retiring, when it seems too hard, but I don't know if it really is an option. Not yet anyway. I found someone to answer phones for me a few days a week, for next time we go... but she won't be able to do much else.

It was 93 or so here today... so I avoided going to town, my office roasted me & I had no energy left.

Dave took the dogs to the creek for a swim. (Bella's last night with us). It was their first time riding in the back of his truck & they did fine! Now Molly's all soft & clean.

93! I heard there was a heat wave up in your area of the continent. I wonder what's causing that. Seattle's been really hot. Over 100 some days!

Hi friends.
Its been so busy. DH has been getting to work at 7 am, so he could work in the heat (doing a roof)... plus we've gone out the last couple of nights. DGS7 had a birthday dinner last night... was fun. So tired though!

Went to my follow-up with the naturopath today. Things are improving, but she's having me take more B Stress complex when I have a stressful day. I took Molly in to meet their dog (a labradoodle)... they played right away. So cute.
Looking forward to tomorrow off.

Thanks, Friday & Saturday were really great... Sunday was a 'work day' for me... the 4 grandkids came over Saturday night for a sleep-over, church & lunch. Then we had to go to friends to continue planning our trip again. (the wife has lots of questions, how to get ready, never done this before).

Well, we're getting ready for a motorcycle trip. Taking friends along, so it will be interesting to see how that goes. Past experience is that it doesn't... but one can always hope. We're taking the coast down to Calif. for a family memorial. I'm hoping we can stick to the coast going back, but I'm the only one. (The heat is so hard to deal with.)

Getting ready at work has gone well, I'm pretty close. Was able to find some wicking underwear for my motorcycle suit, hopefully that will help with the heat. Also found some light jeans on sale.

We have the cows grazing on the property now... totally exciting for Molly. But I'm taking her to a neighbor's driveway to run her, don't want her smelling like manure.

Sounds like a fun trip. I hope the friends going along with you works out well. How far south are you planning to go in CA? I have always wanted to do the Pacific Coast Highway. So beautiful! Blessed you!

Have a great day.
