YEA!! Accomplishments! It was bright and sunny here too. I actually had my first symptoms of heat/sun stroke at the farm. I guess I need to move north. The thought of that makes me want to run the other direction.

I still need to do my taxes too, but I have until Tuesday! I have the forms, just need to root around until I find my two W-2's or whatever they call the other one. (Disability is another type of form.) And then I have to take copies of my paystubs to the social security office to show what my earnings at my job for 2013 have been. Are you kidding me? They don't know what I'm earning? Can't they tell based on what's coming out of each check? What-ever.

Sleep tight. I'm pooped. Read the horse thread if you want to hear about my farm day. First time being face-to-face with the boss who is why I quit. She's such a fraud.

neat pic !

Good job getting taxes done. You have to do US and Canada ??

Good thing you understand how all "those gadgets" work lol ! I would be lost. I don't know how to set up a computer and sure don't know how to make sure everything works together.

Have a great night !

Thanks, they had a good time too!
I also posted a pic of DGD#2 on fb... she's the smart one!
Yeah, we're expats... they passed a law that forces us all to report our taxes, bank, & RRSP's to them, even though we didn't work there! Very hard on us & expensive too. It was costing us a grand every year, now its only about 1/3 of that... but still.
I do enjoy electronics... but have to admit its getting tougher...

I think that's ridiculous that you have to file in the USA too. Now I need to go to FB to see your other pic. Have a lovely day.

It is... Has cost us $6,000 (accountant) in the last 3 years.

Well, I had to stay home from church today - vertigo Knew it was coming, as my ear was plugged up again yesterday. Unfortunately I was lined up to watch the soups during the service today... (having a soup luncheon)... but was able to find someone to do it for me.

Its a beautiful day today. Supposed to hit 61 degrees.
Weight's good... that always makes me happy.

Sorry you're not feeling well. That's the perfect temperature outside, though. We're just a little bit warmer than that. Might get close to 70.

You'd think there must be some loop hole to keep you from having to file in the states. If you were wealthy, I'm sure you could afford an accountant who could find one for you.

Yes Laura, monotonous really. DH is worried I don't get enough variety to be healthy... he may be right. I am doing great really, but a couple lbs up really bugs me, so the fight continues... I'm beginning to think that I just can't get too comfortable in what I'm doing, gotta keep changing things up to keep the metabolism from slowing.

Cheryl, we investigated to the hilt to find a way around the new laws, but there is none... they're only closing in more & more on expats... so much that our banks are now required to report 'americans' with accounts to them. There is quite a high percentage of expats that don't report yet, thinking it will all go away, but the threat of $200,000 + fines for not reporting is too scarey for me. It has been a very heavy burden on expats all over the world. Fortunately it only cost me $475 to get them done this year... only!

Yesterday I had vertigo, so stayed home from church. Its better now. Found out today my thyroid levels are good, but not optimal for me... I do better around zero... it was up to 2.5. So that's why I got the vertigo. So a little more adjusting on my part.

Work went well today. Tired though, DH's mouth brace wasn't connected so his snoring kept me awake over 2 hrs. this morning... 2-4ish. I'm going to bed early tonight!

Hope y'all had a good day today too.

I'm sorry for the vertigo! Hope you're feeling better now! That would be awful!
And the taxes? I didn't realize that either. That's a bummer, and not fair!

And love the picture! So cute!! Hope you continue doing well!

That's such a crazy thing about the taxes ! I never knew that !

Glad you feel better. Does it make you nauseous when you have it ? Lots of people complain of that. I hope not.

Have a great day !

Good morning
Yes Laura, I did get a bit of nausea Sunday morning. PTL my homeopathic drops took effect by afternoon. It hasn't come back.

We actually have to pay $4 us tax on "interest from a burial insurance" (DH parents set up for him) that netted $26 interest. Since we don't live there, we get no write-offs... unbelievable! She said we also paid Canada on that money too. Apparently we didn't buy enough RRSP's this year. Live & learn...

I bought Molly booties for her sore pads. She ran really well in them!

Also bought a halter for her, to try for the next bath. I have to lift her into the tub... thinking it might work better to train her to jump in? Well, its worth a try anyway She's so freaked out by the tub...

I had to go to town to buy a $4 US check, & mail it... ended up costing me $10 for the check & another $5 to mail it... would of cost $30 if I sent it the safe way... took a chance & did regular mail... its getting ridiculous! All for $26 of interest income I'm ready to cancel his funeral insurance!

Got my full 40 minutes in on the elliptical...

We've got a meeting tonight... Hope its short!

This really IS ridiculous, Deb. I don't blame you for considering cancelling it. How much is it valued at? I guess you have to look at the big picture.

That's great about the booties! And the halter idea for Molly for the tub might be a good one. I just think all dogs hate to get a bath. I don't know why cause even the ones that enjoy swimming hate baths. But I love the way they tear around after it's over and you've towel dried them the best you could.

WTG on the elliptical! Hope your meeting is short, too. Sleep well tonight.

I'm enjoying spring weather. Have been doing the quad-run around our field with Molly... she loves it... runs SO fast. Still using the shoes on her front paws for running on the road... she threw one today though... but it was easy to see & pick up.
So nice today was my Friday. Looking forward to a nice week-end. Not sure what we'll be doing yet, but we might go for a motorcycle ride tomorrow if its nice.
My jeans are fitting better... scale is still averaging better. But I was hungry before each meal... I'm going to assume that the wt.'s going to drop more.
Anybody doing anything special this week-end?

Working. My last full weekend of work, so I'm going to try and savor it and not let little details spoil it for me.

I'm glad you will be enjoying your weekend off with your sweetie and going for a nice bike ride. WTG on being so dedicated to your health and weight maintenance. I slipped up today but I felt I needed to console myself for suffering with yard work. I guess it didn't help that I had nothing LC and good to sooth myself with in the house. I had thought to go shopping for a few things earlier but I was dressed for doing yard work in 40 degree temps and went to buy some rabbit pellets and ended up in the dang store so long that I was sweating like a pig. (I know; pigs don't sweat.) So the thought of going into another store in that sweater turned me off and I said I'd go later. But then I had a hellacious afternoon of raking these impossible leaves and I just said, "#@^&$!"

That raking sounds like such torture. How much more do you have to do?

Hope you get to enjoy a nice spring ride. Will you have the family over for Easter? Glad you're getting outside more with Molly. We've considered the little booties for our it's when we go hiking, but I can't imagine them keeping them on? I'll bet she looks adorable!

Enjoy your thaw. Hope it continues. My inlaws got snow the other day in MN aft finally getting some warmer temps. They've had snow in June! makes me appreciate AZ more .

Woohoo On jeans fitting better. I picture you as sooooo tiny !! I bet you are !
We are going with DS2 and fiance to a live play at church and then I plan to go to church Sun morning. Got Shelby a few things and a small basket, but she will be going to a church where they used to live ( DIL's family church ) so I may not see her much. What are your Easter plans ??

Have a great day. Heading out soon to finish this yard. I am going to finish it, even if it takes the rest of the day. Getting a late start anyway, so I expect it will be another 5-6 hours to complete it.

It was a good day... got caught up on this week's books. Then we went for a motorcycle ride. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Happily my motorcycle pants fit much better in the waist this time.
Molly also got to have her quad-runs. First one she got very close to a flying crow... because it didn't realize that she was gaining on him... Those crows really put her into warp speed!
No plans for Easter yet. Will have to see if they want to get together.
Happy Easter!
