I that picture! So darling!! Thanks for posting it.

Gifts for kiddo's? Heck if I know. Get 'em a mini donkey! I'm looking for a halter for our mini donkey so I have mini's on the brain. If that won't work, maybe some snow saucers for sledding when over at grandma and grandpa's house? I'm sure you already have those things.

No idea! I'm sure you'll figure something out. You know them. Sleep tight, Deb.

I bet you are happy to be done shopping !

I love all the picks. Those moose are so neat !

What are you planning to cook for Christmas ?

We are having a easy Christmas eve here ..... stuffed baked potatoes with chopped BBQ,cheese, sour cream and chives.....lots of appetizers (cheeses, summer sausage,olives,etc....) and desserts.
I will not eat a potato of course, but won't have to stress over the cooking part. lol !

Have a wonderful evening !

They'd LOVE that! I would too, but not practical...
I did figure it out... she'd put sodastream on the list in front of popcornmaker... with that addition to the basket- its plenty. Will be a definite shift from the greed we've seen in the kids in previous years. I'm sure it will be a great time.

Thanks, I've still got to figure out how to put it all together. Bought a big cute laundry basket, but the boxes are too big to fit in.

We're sure living in a winter wonderland now. I got to go for a ski today. Temps were right... but near the end of it -got too warm, snow started sticking to the skis.

DD & family are driving here, but had to stop in Prince George... roads too slippery. Try again tomorrow.

We're going to friend's for dinner & games pretty soon. Had to ask DH which would be worse... taking my own food, or eating before we went... he said take it... hope not to be a spectacle...they're having spaghetti & french bread.

Hope everyone's doing good!

I think dh was right. At least they will not feel like you're totally not enjoying yourself there. It sucks to eat in some social settings. I used to really hate packing food I could eat. I hope you're having fun.

It went well. Good time visiting.
We're having freezing rain still... I was worried that we might not be able to get back up the last hill to our place, but PTL we made it!

Yea! Close call averted and you made it home, safe and sound. I'm so glad.

I'm going to work in a few minutes. Raining tons and the horses are all inside so I'm not in any hurry to get there. Thankfully, most of what I'll be doing will be indoors, in the barn or the run-in stalls but I'll still need to brave the elements when walking back and forth.

Have a lovely day, Deb.

Deb that's nice that you had a good time and got to take your own food !

That's great that y'all made it home safely that freezing rain has to be so dangerous to drive on !

Yesterday DH & the gang went to get the tree. Then we put it up & the kids decorated it... a charlie brown tree. They went off to spend the rest of the day with his folks.
DS came with his family & packed down the field for a sled-run with the ski-doo. Molly continually ran with whatever was moving the fastest without jumping on anyone. They said she must of run 100 miles...
I'm still fighting a cold, so can't be outside.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

I'm sorry you aren't feeling up to par yet. Sounds like you're enjoying yourself, just the same. Molly is unstoppable! I'd love to see her running her little tail off. I'm surprised they only just got the Christmas tree on Christmas eve. A scrawny one? Those don't hold too many decorations.

Have a blessed day with your family and get better soon.

They were late getting here, because of the bad roads. But that was the plan all along... to get it the first day they were here... kind of a novelty, cutting down a real tree. I specified 'small' because we lack room. Especially when we will have 13 people in the living room.

Hope you have a wonderful time with your Mom.

Merry Christmas all!

Happy Boxing Day! (Canadian holiday)
Our day went well. Lots of work for me (duh). But everything went well. I was able to get my elliptical in (while everyone went sledding). Thanks Laura, [Still not feeling well, so can't risk the brisk air on my lungs.]
The family gifts went excellent! Everyone was happy & I saw much less greed & bad attitudes from the kiddo's. (some with the parents gifts to them).
Molly's having a blast, impressing everyone with her speed & energy... sleeping like a log as well! I'm hoping someone caught a picture of her, as I wasn't out there.
Have a wonderful day!

Is Boxing Day the day you take all your Christmas gifts back to the store in their boxes? That would be appropriate, and would need its own day so people didn't have to go back to work until all returns are over.

Sorry you're still not 100% back to being healthy but glad you are making the most of things. That's great to see less materialism with the kids. That's a tough balance to maintain in our world of "want want want."

Molly is such a cutie. I hope people were able to snap some pics of her flying around. Play hard, sleep hard. Dogs rule! Have a good day Debby and please get well soon.

So glad everyone enjoyed their gifts.

Exactly what is Boxing Day ? Just saw on the news that it is a super shopping day there...kind of like our Black Friday.....

hope the cold is better and you are taking it easy today.

Thanks gals,

Boxing Day is traditionally the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts, known as a "Christmas box", from their bosses or employers. Today, Boxing Day is the bank holiday that generally takes place on 26 December. It is observed in the United Kingdom, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago and other Commonwealth nations.

It is mostly a "family day" now... but there is an attempt to corrupt it by 'commercialism' ... after Christmas sales... this year appears to be a mad frenzy for sales... 'cyber Friday'...cyber week ...'black Friday'... black Friday week... now Boxing Day week... desperation I guess.

Cold is still there, hiding under the Dristan sinus (hides symptoms). I'm still having sweats & slight sore throat, as is DH. But at least we're not coughing & sneezing, passing on the germs.

DD got a few pics with Molly in them, but not really action shots. I'll post one later.

Your welcome... I checked Wikipedia to get that. It is what I was going to say, but they say it better.
Today's our last day with DD & her family. DS & his family may be here for part of it as well. Have no idea what I'll be feeding them... guess I better put my thinking cap on... if I can find it
Have a good Friday.
