Well, today started out a bit warmer... 3 F. It got up to 11 F. Looks like more of the same tomorrow. And it looks like y'all are going to get this cool-down too.

Well, I managed to get the really crucial things done at work today. Still behind, but don't want to work an extra day to catch up... need rest! Funny how you still need rest after being off for 2 weeks!

Yeah, body is getting squared away today. Should have an accurate # tomorrow. Clothes fit fine.

Oh, I also ordered my new phone... getting a lexus. Should be here in 3-5 days...

A "lexus" phone? Never heard of it. Must be pretty fancy, though. So glad things are working out. And for the double digit heat wave! Woohoo! Yep, it's going to get colder but not dramatically where I am. It will be in the 20's or less at night but not horrible during the day. At least that's the forecast for the next 7 days. Tomorrow is all rain and I'll be working in it.

Have a good night. Rest when you can.

Sorry, its so 'new' to me, I was saying in wrong... its the LG Nexus 5 which is an android.
According to my tech-y pastor, its the best.... because Google made it, rather than some other company... So, I've moved away from apple. The notepad is also android.

It was 0 F when we went to bed, but its 7 F this morning

!! Well, that makes a lot more sense, cutie. You combined the two names which was very efficient of you. I hope you enjoy the new phone and tablet (is that what you meant by notepad?)

So darn cold up there. I hope it moderates soon.

Took the day off. Organized receipts & a few drawers. Ran Molly 5 trips down the driveway & back... Did my elliptical too. Didn't feel like doing much else.

Wt is about the same as when I left, which is good. I've added my oatmeal back for breakfast the last 2 days. Helps with the regularity, but I seem to be getting a lot hungrier. Always something.

Ah, guess I should be more specific ... I use the van for the drive-way runs with Molly. Definitely too cold... even for driving! Molly gets a white beard while running too, but loves it & wants to stay outside afterward, so I guess its not hurting her.

I was really 'blue' yesterday.
Feel better this morning.
Hope everyone has a good Saturday!

Debby...I hate those kind of days. One minute you are okay, and the next you are thinking too much. It will be okay. You seem to be a generally happy person The temps have started dropping here, but not near where you are yet. We are at 18F. Have a great Saturday!!!

I sensed that you were down yesterday. I hope today is a better day and that you find things that will brighten you up, inside and out. You bought a treadmill, didn't you? Or am I confusing you with someone else. I taught Cisco to use the treadmill. It's very easy to do. If you could put your little Molly on one on the really super cold days, then you wouldn't need to go out and exercise her in the cold. I know she likes it but it sounds like you'd rather not join her at times.

GG, love your new ticker! Is this your first try at LC? Just curious. Seems like you're doing really well with it.

Cheryl, It is not my first time trying LC. I tried it several years ago, and I only stuck to it about three weeks. I was a cheating pro. This is my first time doing ANY new way of eating, and sticking to it. And, for the first time, I am seeing results

Well, WTG! I asked because LC generally works the best when it's your first go-round with it. If you stop doing it, go back to eating regular (bad) foods and then return to LC, it seems much harder to make it work. It's like the body is now "onto you" and has figured out a way to keep from dropping the lbs using that approach.

So keep on plugging and don't give up! Don't be like me, in other words.

Thanks girls,
Its true, I started out fine... but ran into some things I didn't want to deal with & it went downhill from there... its all straightened out now, and a new day... albeit ZERO F degrees! Can't complain though, because down the hill, in town, its -8 F degrees!

Just posted a pic of this morning's view... will put here, but I think its big.

No treadmill for me, Cheryl. Molly keeps looking at me when on elliptical like "me too"! LOL... we'll have to figure that one out!

DH just got back from running her with the quad... froze his face!

Good morning,
6 degrees this morning. Good night sleep...
We found our furniture & bought it. They'll deliver it next week (have to wait for a matching chair).
Then we went to our ds's home for a 3-d movie, dinner, board game & visit. Nice, but long visit.

So what's the plan for the furniture that you're replacing? Good enough to donate or will it get tossed? I'm glad you found what you wanted! We'll need pics of those when they get set up, too. (Please.)

How was the 3-d movie and your time with your son and his family? Did Molly come along? She's the cutest thing. Does she enjoy that tire swing the way Shelby used to? I remember the pics you used to post of her and how I said I loved her profile. We need more pics of Molly standing still, too. Does she stand still?

Looks like we're getting a little snow overnight tonight and then it will turn icy. I'm not working until the afternoon so the roads should be fine by then. I'm so happy to be off today, and to be back to my normal weekly schedule.

Have a lovely day.

Amen! Grandeur just can't be beat. If I lived there, I'd learn to cross-country ski (like Deb does) and buy a good snowmobile and just plan on dressing in many layers, then taking long naps beside the woodstove when I get back home.

Hi,
Hope everyone had a good Sunday. Looks like its still real cold everywhere. Hope everyone's safe & warm.

We went to church. Everyone was really nice about welcoming us back. Came home, made mayonnaise & lunch, did my hair, cut DH's hair, stocked up the wood-carrier, exercised, ran Molly with van. Just relaxing now.

Looks like we get to have snow this week. Hope it warms up enough to try out my skis.

Apparently Honey (MIL's Chiwawa) is settled in & happy now, DSI says.
As for the movie & games... I didn't participate in either... there wasn't enough room on the couch that gives real 3d view & I don't have much patience for sitting, watching movies, so I let the kiddo's & DH sit there, while I played with my new gizmo. Same for games... I am not a game-player... Grampa's the FUN one!

We don't have a fireplace either. Our wood stove has a window, but its not in the living room PTL! (Would be too hot).

I'm a bit skimpy about sharing pics, as it uses up lots of internet to send them. But I will see if I can get a few more of Molly... She hasn't played with the swing the way Shelby did, as we don't allow her to when the kiddo's are on it, so she's taken that as 'its taboo.'
Hope your day went well!

Just got back from my 1st x-country ski ... 19F; 35 minutes. Really feel it!
Molly was afraid of the skis for the first 5 minutes... then enjoyed the jaunt through the snow... then decided to 'herd' the skis. No matter what we use for her walks/runs, she's gotta herd you away from the house when its time to go in! (or at least try, the first few times). I think she's going to love this... she travels 10 x as far as I do, through the bush, back & forth... checking out all the tracks & hunting for mice.
Hope you're all surviving the cold-front.

Yep! But it was only my face that got cold... everything else was HOT! I love about x-ski that you have a 'goal' that gets your mind off the exertion that you're putting out. Unlike walking, which I find boring (yes, even in our beautiful country... or should I say-especially?) My mind really needs distractions for exercise... I just need a ski-mask... funny thing, its hard to find them!

Yea! Back to x-skiing with the pooch. I found a decent ski mask at a store chain in the states called "Ocean State Job Lot." One of my favorite stores. I try and shop there before I go to the Walmart stores cause I always find better deals.

Keep warm, yourself! No "frostnip" like last year. No expose the nose and cheeks.
