LOL... Here I thought I was eating so much! Well, for me it is. Especially when eating in an 8 hr window. I can post what I eat if you're interested.

Thanks Cheryl, DH just left to go look for a bull or buck. Its open for both right now. But specifics on the buck... 4-point.

We had a nice day. Good church service. Brought 2 grand-kiddo's home for lunch. Then they & DH helped me cut apples & load 'em on to trays to dry. Funny how kids love to help do stuff that's a chore to me... and proves once again "many hands make light work"

Hope you have a great evening!

They do love to do things like that, until it is expected of them to accomplish a job to help you out! Then it's "work". Glad you had a good church service and a nice day. Also glad you feel like you're eating so much. I would have thought that a "huge steak" would have been at least half your daily calorie allotment. I guess it's all in your perspective on what's huge and what's a normal portion. Whatever you're doing is working great for you, so don't change a thing.

Isn't that funny that doing "work" with the grandparents is Fun ~~ but if their parents asked them to do the same thing..... the world would come to an end ?? lol ! At least that's how it was with my boys !

Yep, so true... practically anything they can do with Grampa is fun... but in the past we've even got them to help stack wood! And they somehow made a game out of it.

I'm trying a new picture site out for posting here... so annoying that we can download pics anymore!

Here's yesterday's menu... (if it works!)
Please let me know if you can't see it!

Oh, I see now too.... I accidentally put mayo in twice at dinner, not true... so I guess I didn't get over 1300 yesterday after all! boy was I stuffed though! And I guessed at the weight of that steak. But it was grass-fed, which is lower cal.

LOL Yep, I do. It also records exercise... nice to have record that I can look back on & see how changes are actually effecting my weight.

Using olive oil for mayonnaise doesn't have the 'best' taste. But using the light stuff is better. I always add Tabasco sauce with it & then I love it! DH doesn't notice the difference (his taste-buds aren't too touchy), so I'm making all of our mayo all the time... usually have to make it twice a week, but it only takes minutes to make.

Thanks for posting that!! It's nice to see how your day stacks up .

I've never made my own mayo and would love to find one without added sugar. I've heard it's easy to make your own, but I'm afraid to try to. Maybe I should? Hmmm...now you've got me thinking .

You're doing great and I love the memories you're making with your grand kids. My grandma wasn't the traditional sort, so no homemade cookies etc. my kids do those things with me, but w/ Dh and dd being GF we don't even do that much anymore .

Glad you're doing so well. KUTGW!

Hi
Yes, its quite easy. Good thing, I'm not into "difficult"
I use honey or Truvia to sweeten. I messed with the ingredients & ended up going with their suggestion... cut back on the salt, or use ap.cid.vin. & its too bitter... lemon works good. It whips up really fast & the last cup of oil I always have to stir in with the spatula, as its too thick for the blender to do anything with it. Oh, I also go with the whole egg rather than the egg white, that's one of my recipes.

Off to work with me... dragging my feet.

i forgot to ask you ...... where did you all get the apples ? Do y'all pick them ? I didn't think you ate fruit, so I was wondering.

I bet you have a basement since it's cold there.... great for storing things !

LOL... I bought a case on sale a month ago. Would love if someone picked apples for me, but we don't have any apple trees.
And yes, our basement is quite cool. We have a storage room that we keep closed off from the heat. Works great.

I'm so sleepy! We woke up at 5:30 am. DH went hunting at 6 am. Its funny how just a half hour early makes so much difference...
Had a good day at work, went shopping & came home for a nap.
When I got my mail I discovered a post office card... think my passport must be here!

Well, trying to wake up & go do my elliptical... then I've got mayo to make & veggies to cook.

I sauteed up long green beans in coconut oil for lunch, because I ran out of my precooked veggies... it was actually good. So that's one veggie that's not a goiter-gen...

I don't understand why you make your own mayo. Is there something bad in store-bought mayo? I use Hellman's or "Best Foods", as it's called out West. I love the flavor of that mayo and don't buy any other. The thing that freaks me out about making my own is that you are faced with the knowledge of how much actual OIL there is in there. It looks so creamy and harmless in it's store-bought form. I think if I actually made my own, I'd feel terrible eating it.

No moose or deer yet? Still praying! Love your photo of your menu. Such attention to detail! No wonder you're acing maintenance.

I'm tired too. Let's all have the deepest sleep with the most peaceful of dreams.

LOL... I've known mayo is a 'fat' for centuries! I'm going through it like crazy now, on primal.
The reason for making it... all mayo that's store bought is made from GMO oils... instilled with Round-up so the bugs won't eat it... I'm staying away from all GMO's. So, I use olive oil.
Nope, DH just got home from a full day. Going out at 5 am tomorrow! with DS.

Good morning!
Well, DH left at 5 am this morning... let me sleep in (till 6 am). He went hunting with DS & may sleep over...(just like yesterday) prepared to stay, but if its not that good, will come home. I got him to take the 'SPOT' so I will know where he is.
Wow is it ever lots of time in the morning, when you don't have to make & serve breakfast.
I'm adding more CO today. Funny, Terri said she had 83% fat & I though Wow! Then after I planned my menu, I noticed that's what I'll have today too! So many pay-offs from dropping that creamer.
Hope y'all have a great day!

I know, it is rare... old fashioned.. I make his lunches & we eat dinner at the table together (also me cooking).... there was a period of time that I left for work before he did & I left him to fend for himself with breakfast... his health went down-hill... he really needs a sit-down, relaxed meal.

These are the things that will be dying off with us older generation people. He is one very blessed little bugger. I know he knows it, too.

Yep! That's going to be a hard thing to find in a wife. Especially a wife working outside the home. It's going to be cereal in the morning, fast food for lunch and a crock pot meal for dinner. Microwave popcorn in the evenings for a snack.

I just got back from work, took a neighbor's long driveway as a different run for Molly. Then ran up the main road for a bit... turning just in time - a truck was coming up behind us. She did fabulously. Also did well at work, 3 different people came in to chat with me & she stayed put (beat the rug with her tail the whole time, but stayed put)! We also saw a family of deer crossing the road (actually stopped for them) Molly was so excited she started whining... I just kept saying "nice deer." Oh, last night when I went into the "cat-room"(hot tub room) to pet Kaboodle... Molly came in to catch a glimpse & Kaboodle came to the edge of the hot tub to peer down at her... unlike Shelby, Molly did not jump up, she stayed seated & politely wagged her tail... there's hope, that one day Kaboodle will "allow" a friendship there maybe.
I got my passport! Yeah! I was worried... the forms are so complicated & I've had trouble of other applications being returned, so its such a relief! I'm good for 10 yrs. now.
