There...

I had some frozen lasagne's that I bought on sale & frozen cheesecake, ice cream cones... worked good, for someone who doesn't want to do a bunch do cooking.

Then in the evening they had all you can eat fresh buttered popcorn with Parmesan cheese.

And I ate my same-old, same-old.

Awesome worship & fellowship at church today. Then our son's family came over for dinner & supper. We had a good day.DH took the kiddo's to the farm next door. They love going there to pet the baby lambs, goats, horses, ducks & chickens. laugh Pretty cute pics... best smiles when they're doing that.

DIL & I got my walk in, which was great. I sometimes miss my walk when they come over. They just left at 8 pm. Whew! Long day, but good. I hope I was able to encourage her... she's suffering pms today.

Hope you all had a good one!
Awesome pics!!! You're right. Spontaneous smiles are the best. That's how I feel when I'm around animals.

When you "feel the burn," that's when you've used up your glycogen stores in your muscles. Remember Jane Fonda? "Go for the burn!" I guess when you start feeling that way, you should immediately rest and recover.

I'm glad you had such a nice day with your family. And it's great to see the snow is all gone up there! Hope today is another nice day for you.

Gotta go get ready for the farm. BBL.

Oh, honey. I am sick for your pain. I prayed but I did more of just covering my face and saying, "Oh Father!" I can't believe this happened. What a horrible thing. I know how much you loved her. She knows how much you loved her, too. I'm so sorry. SO sorry.

Its a bit of a mystery; Shelby jumped up & got a bottle of cleaner off the shelf, which I found on the lawn this morning (not sure if it was poison)? Then later, she must of been under the truck. DH did not see her, may have hit her with the truck... couldn't tell... She was still walking, couldn't find any wounds on her, she lay down & died in my arms 10 minutes later.
Buried her & went to work in shock. We're devastated. As you know, she was my baby....I'm kind of a mess. Was in shock till after I got home from work, but its hitting me really hard now.

I don't know how you made it to work. It really sounds like she was poisoned by that cleaner. What was the name of the cleaner? I don't think she was run over. However it happened, I feel your pain. I lost a dog in 2003 after deciding to stop all my roaming as a travel nurse and stay here in CT.

The house we were renting was on a lake and far from the road, but one day she strayed all the way out to the street. It was a bright, sunny day. She was a pure white dog that would have been glistening in the sunshine. It was a straight, flat road and the driver must have been distracted. She never knew what hit her. By the time I knew that anything was wrong, I raced out to the road but there was no life left in her.

I mourned for two weeks and then couldn't stand it anymore. That's when I went to a rescue center and adopted my dear Cisco. I didn't think I could ever love her the way I loved my Keisha, but I do. Every bit as much. And when she's gone, I'll get another. And another.

Nothing heals the ache within faster or better than getting another dog. Don't rush into it but do think about it, Debby. I wish I could wrap my arms around you. May God give you peace, sweetheart.

Oh Debby, I am so very very sad and so sorry ........ I just got home and read this. Will lift you and DH in prayer for comfort and peace. That's just terrible. I love my Allie so much and I know how much you loved Shelby.

Hope tomorrow is easier, but I know it will be tough. ((hugs))

Thanks,
Rough night, but a few hours of sleep. I'm hoping today is less tearful than last night.
I've been reading my new ebook The Fast Metabolism Diet, going to try to incorporate phase 1 today, its supposed to help your adrenals. (higher clean-carbs; lower fat & protein).
Thanks for your prayers.

Thanks Friends,

I am doing somewhat better presently. I picked up some homeopathic stress relief at the HFS. With all the prayers & that, its helping. Hoping for a good night's sleep. I was able to send "notes" to my family, friends & neighbors today to let them know. Told my dd & ds last night. Didn't want to talk about it, ended up blubbering away to dd, as she doesn't go online much. ds has texting, so he was easy.

I have one more day on Phase 1 then it switches for new plan. Interesting.

Hope you're all having a good day. Thanks so much for your support.

Tax day for me... I spent from 8:30 am.-12:30 pm at accountant... have to go back later, missing a few numbers, one has to come from a part-time sub-contractor So who knows when I'll hear from him... just gotta wait. But it won't take long, once I go back... then I can try to do the other taxes myself from the Canadian numbers.

I'm feeling better today, but I've been taking hands full of anti-stress-happy-pills. (worried about getting over-stressed doing taxes). Hope it lasts. Also singing to Jesus every time I think of Shelby dying. stops the tears & visions.

The Fast Metabolism Diet - Haylie Pomroy... I especially like that it works with natural foods, which is what I'm already doing...hoping it will help me with my maintenance. So, my ratio's will be changing day to day for a while... being another rotation diet.
  1. 1st phase is high in good carbs & lighter in protein, lots of veggies, & no fat. (2 days);(light aerobics in the first stage only)
  2. 2nd phase: Very much Atkins + veggies on this phase.(2 days); (strength training only)
  3. The 3rd phase is the high-protein-high good-fats, low glycemic phase. (3 days); (exercise is stretching-yoga type only)
I've been losing wt. on it, which is good because I was at the top of my allowable range from the chili I had to eat when I forgot my lunch on Monday!

Thanks for your prayers & support friends! Hope you had good days!

Sounds very interesting, Debby! I'm going to look into this plan for myself. I like how it morphs day by day. Makes time and room for everything, it seems.

It teared me up when I read what you said about "singing to Jesus". When you can put aside your grief and pain long enough to worship God, you know you're not far from the Kingdom of Heaven. I wish (we all do) that this hadn't happened to you, but this world is a painful place to live.

Thankfully we are only passing through. God bless you tonight.

have my niece's confirmation in Houston tomorrow morning with most of the family there....DH couldn't get off No one would trade with him.

Both my DS's and family will be there, excited. Should be a great day

I have plans to go out to eat with a friend from my last job Monday night. Hope that works out.... I miss them

Have plans to do something really neat on Wed night with 2 girls from work. There is a place an hour from here that puts on a thing called "painting the town" ~~ they have a theme for the night ( it will be a cross ) and you go to the class with about 20 people ~~ bring your own wine,etc.... and they have snacks and they teach you techniques about painting and you take your painting home with you !
I have NO talent, but I think it will be fun. I know several people who have done it, and they all love it !
Just something different to do ...... that's what I need !

Thanks,

Hope you two had a great day too.
Had to finish up with accountant today. But its done.
DH was in a bow-shoot event all day & will be half of tomorrow too. I just didn't feel up to socializing or being outside for 9 hrs. It was nice to relax & just do my own thing today.

Finished up Phase 2 on FMD. Restricted to only to strength training in this phase. I'm looking forward to phase 3 tomorrow... this high protein phase kills me. (constipation).

Tomorrow I get to eat healthy fats, fruit & a bit of grain. This phase is to last 3 days & supposed to be the big "losing" phase. We'll see... Both other phases I lost on too. Mostly on phase 1 though.

Lots of pinterest recipes posted for you recipe lovers... hayliepomroy
