I decided to go ahead with the blood test this morning, ended up being at the lab for almost 2 hours, there was such a line-up! Then I found out (too late & years later)... that the deadline for getting there is 3 pm! I have been going in monthly & missing work... I'll be going straight after work from now on... I get off at 1 pm. So, that's good to know. I did get a lot of walking, stairs & some good visiting in during that time, so pretty happy about that.

I'm glad you got your blood work taken care of. I hope whatever the results end up being, that there is an easy tweak to get you in the best of health. I am so overdue for blood work that it's not the least bit funny. I keep forgetting about it.

Yes Cheryl, you need to get yours done too. Maybe it has something to do with your sleep? Did you get your meds yet? Did the tea help?

I went to the Dr. my tests came back normal today, so he says keep doing what I'm doing. Which means I have to alternate my dose every other day... 2 or 2.25 tabs & to just go by how I feel, he says. Sounds good to me. I'm amazed that one day made it come up to normal levels. Good thing he listened to me on the symptoms or I'd be going around in circles again! So close, maybe this will be it...

We started the day out with snow, then it was beautiful & sunny out (and is right now). On the way home I went through a snow-fall... funny.

Well, gotta do my hair, laundry, finish vacuuming & exercise the dog & myself! Oh my!

Nope and Nope. Almost a full week now of next to no sleep.

I looked up lab places and got the hours the closest one is open and will try and get the labs done by this weekend. I need to know where the heck I'm at. The frustrating thing is that normally, when I have these tests done, the answer is always "normal."

That's great that you don't need to change anything with your meds. Keep on keepin' on! Enjoy the rest of your sunny day.

I did a big meat cook-off this afternoon. Cut & colored my hair, did laundry, exercised... did my strength training today, I've taken a break from the arms to give my shoulder a rest... did some today & really noticed how much less I could do. Oh well! I've been doing push-ups front & back, but that must work different muscles.

Tomorrow's going to be a beautiful sunny day! And we get 4 grandchildren for a sleep-over. Should be fun.

Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun, Debby. Enjoy them! What do you do with them on sleep-overs? How old are they? Enjoy your sunshine, woman. I will just keep dreaming of Spring. Very grey with snow showers right now.

Sit tight! Spring will come! Probably before it does here.

DH will play with them, outside. I feed them. He's the "fun" one. They're bringing a movie to watch tonight also.

I had a ready-made quiche, pears & cottage cheese, they brought guacamole & tortilla chips. Which they had with quesadilla's for lunch & pears & cottage cheese again... pancakes for breakfast. Amazingly they liked everything.

They just left, now we're going to a friend's for dinner. Have a good evening!

After the kiddo's went home last night , we went out for dinner at a friend's. She actually baked a chicken breast for me separate & made home-made salad dressing for me too. Spoiling me. It was a fun night.

Today I took two of the kiddo's shopping with me after church & got them a submarine sandwich in Safeway. We ate in the safeway nook, while waiting for their mom... dh was sick today & other 2 kiddo's went skiing on the hill.

Worked out really hard this afternoon, relaxing now. Life is good!

Good for you! Yes, its hard these days to figure out what to serve kids. They're pickier then when our kids grew up.

It was a good week-end... now for 2 short weeks! Next two weeks have one stat holiday each.

Hi again,
Today I made sweet potato fries (baked with coconut oil). And I actually ate them! Yum! But oh my, I'm feeling so full!

If ever there's a difficult day in an office, it involves a printer or copier. I battled with printers/ordering parts/setting up substitute copier... for half my work-day. Come to find out, the cleaning unit I ordered is back-ordered & not coming! Not impressed. This is the second time. Very crippling for my work, not being able to print. But PTL have a temporary solution now.

Had my town day. Counted all the walking as my exercise.

Looking forward to a nice short work-week & nice long week-end coming up!

Speaking of picky eating kids, I was one of the world's worst. In fact, if I'd stayed picky all my life, I'd probably still be thin! Bummer!

Hehee... I guess I was venting, hey? I've come up with a good temporary alternative & not having trouble now.

Shopping was OK. I'm glad to have the energy now. Seems like I am shopping far more often now!

Yeah, maybe you'd be thin, maybe even worse! Most my grandkids picky-ness is directed toward things that are healthy.

The weather is warming up here... snow is melting & my driveway is "breaking-up" (in the afternoons anyway). Don't think I should drive back & forth on it to run Shelby today, so I'm going to dawn my boots & walk. Don't care for that kind of walking, but needs to be done. She's busy today, finding her buried bones!

I had a good, long walk with my neighbor today. Unfortunately the dogs rolled in the muddy road several times, so Shelby had to have her first bath! That was not something she liked... she was good, but very unhappy. Poor baby! She still needs a good brushing, but I figure she's had enough torture for the evening.

Aw! Poor little girl. I feel sorry for you, too. When the dog's not into the bath, your back gets a workout. You both need to rest up for the rest of the night. Chase her down with the brush tomorrow. Glad she enjoyed a good roll, though. Sometimes you just have to get down and dirty.

Fortunately she just looked miserable. She's too well behaved to fight us. Collies are such people-pleasers. But the look on her face was so pitiful!

Glad I didn't get hurt or "wet" doing it... fortunately DH helped too.

Happy Easter to you all too! Nice to have you drop in Julie.
We have so much to reflect on and be thankful for on this week-end.
Not much in our plans for Easter. I'm really getting into "resting" catching up on things at home, and getting out for motorcycle rides in the sun. I tend to "lay low" on the Easter celebrations. I tend to get "bugged" by the world's way of celebrating, so I pull back, lest I spoil it for them.
I was saved as a young adult (18); had been raised in a worldly home, and we did all the holidays without Christ. So, once I heard the "truth" I went from black to white... our kids were raised with no santa, no easter bunny, no halloween... However, our grand kids are getting "both" as they are growing up & this Gramsy gets a bit grumpy about some of that stuff. Poor kids.
I agree with you Cheryl, its the "consumer" slant on all our holidays that has replaced the true meaning. However, I guess we really should have a way that puts the meaning back in it.
Its another beautiful day today! I finally used my carpet shampooer that I bought about 3 months ago. It worked beautifully! I did the family room, now going to tackle the office. Other than that, we have mostly wood floors. It also has a floor setting which I will try on the tile floor in the kitchen, it might be able to get the darkness out of the creases.
