Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! My weight remains the same.......I've been munching all night and I don't go up or down on the scale!?! I guess if I stopped, I would see a drop in the number. But I can't seem to stop! I need to make some protein shakes in advance and have them on hand for easy grab and feast!
Motivation has dropped to an all time low!

What are you munching on? Do you have a lot of trouble sleeping?

Sorry about the motivation, girl. What was your original motivation for reaching 140?

I think it's normal to go through periods where the resolve isn't as strong. We're not robots! Don't feel bad about it. As long as you don't give up, it will eventually go your way.

Love ya, mama bear!

I munch on everything and anything!!! Some low carb and some not ! It's really a very bad habit. I am not hungry per se, just have the "need" something attack at night. I do take an OTC sleep aid every night - menopause - UGH! My motivation for getting to 140 is the fact that I went from 176 to my lowest of 145 ... so I thought, why shouldn't I be able to get to 140 !?! But then I went back up and I'm sitting at 150-153 constantly. I would really just like to get back to 145 and remain there without starving myself. Yeah, my resolve is not very strong right now. I know what to do, but I don't seem to be able to do it !!!

Thanks for the Love ya, too!

Hi Susan, I can totally relate. Hang in there!!! I've gone very low carb this week because I have to make up for a bad weekend.....however it's a recurring cycle. EVERY week it's like this. *sigh*

Thanks Laura and Jessica !!! I've been I really good girl for two whole days now! SHOCK and AWE !!!! But I honestly have to tell you that I'm sipping some red wine right this very minute !!! What a day !

This was my day:

-call from renter that all drains are clogged at the house, DH had to leave work in order to meet plumbers over there!
-email from Verizon wireless telling me my account is over due and the email was addressed to "Travis Thomas"! I certainly am not Travis Thomas! So....my account has been tampered with. And the bill is $1,600.00 ! Fixed that real quick once I got "a real person" on the phone at Verizon!
-my rear-ended car is finished and ready for pick-up
-rental car has to be returned by 6:00 pm
-all this while entertaining the twins and my daughter ended up being late picking them up!

But all is good at the moment and I have gotten rid of the 3 extra pounds I added to myself recently. But my siggy weight is still not accurate - but I'll manage to get back there. The real challenge will be to reach my goal weight . Still tryin' ! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh ! Life Is Good !

Ugh Susan, what a rough day -- you certainly earned that glass of red wine! You did a great job managing an unusually tough day while staying on plan and losing three pounds! You should be really proud of yourself. You WILL reach your goal weight!

Hey everyone ! I've been reading the "Potato Hacking" info on here. Anybody else know anything about it? I need to do something different to kiss some pounds good bye. Read "The Virgin Diet" recently, but can't seem to wrap my head around eating her way. And this "Potato" diet info is too good to be true!

I'm very confused .

Well, well, well....what's going on in my little world? Have a four day weekend !!! WOW - get to sleep in !

Yesterday...it rained and the temp here is 20 degrees down from Thursday! Went grocery shopping.

Today is COLD, but the sun is shining . Very windy. I will go outside eventually today to putter in the yard . No real plans for the weekend and I'm content with that because this is the first weekend in May that NOTHING is going on and I LIKE THAT !!! Just let me stay home without interruption, PLEASE !!!!

Have gotten rid of 4 pounds recently without trying too hard. But my siggy is not accurate! 4 more pounds and it will be though . Just trying to be more conscious of my choices, especially when I want to snack! I've fallen in love with Walden Farms salad dressings as dips for veggies!

Gonna go eat some eggs.........

Did anyone check into the potato thing?

Had a great day yesterday! All day in the yard...my favorite place ! And the cicadas are buzzing very loudly !!!

Weeding, planting, mulching, removing spent blooms, watering !!!

Breakfast was 3 eggs, lunch a nectarine and dinner dry rub pulled pork/no bun.
After that.......too ashamed to tell.......SNACK ATTACK !!!!!! But no movement on the scale, either up or down. Will I never learn ?!!!?

Yay -- I love long weekends when you don't have anything pressing to do. Glad you finally have some time for yourself to enjoy your beautiful gardens and some free time. I need to check out the Potato Hacking diet -- I have never heard of it. I did know about the Virgin Diet but it sounds a little fishy to me.

Susan, you need to give yourself a break when it comes to snacking. First of all, you have lost a ton of weight and you look absolutely beautiful. I mean, look at your avatar? Hello! You are a beautiful lady! Maybe you snack because you are not eating enough during the day? I am a night snacker too and I think you manage to tame the savage beast 75-80% of the time. You usually snack on very light, healthy foods that don't lead to trouble. And yum -- veggies and Walden Farms dressing sounds delish. I do the same thing with the Barefoot Contessa Herb Dip which is totally low carb -- it is so yummy that I end up snacking on raw broccoli, radishes and celery with a smidge of dip. Healthy, low carb and filling -- you can't beat it!

Honestly, give yourself some credit for looking fabulous and sticking to plan 85-90% of the time. You are a human being and everyone needs a little break every now and then! Now, I am going to look into the Potato Hacking diet!

Thank you Gail ! You are so sweet to take the time to stop by with everything that is going on in your life right now ! I hope Tony is getting better each day ! I just want to see the scale move downward, but I am my own worst enemy and I continue to wreck my day by eating at night. I think if I ate more during the day, I would still eat at night.

Hi Laura !!! Hope you are gonna have some time off real soon !!!

More yard work today - I want to rip out two beds that surround the patio and re-plant them - don't like how they look anymore ! Wish I could "rip out" this extra weight !!!

Back to normal after 4 days off! Ate too many carbs and the old body has plumped up! Planning to be a good girl eating wise and logging my food intake.

White knuckled it through the evening. I did cave around 10:15 p.m. and had about 5 romaine lettuce leaves and 3 strips of bell pepper. I tried to challenge myself not to eat. I usually leave the family room around 7:30 pm and watch TV in the study because I don't care for the shows DH watches. Last night I stayed and read instead. And think it helped keep me away from the kitchen.
I was happy when I weighed this morning ! How many days does it take to form or break a habit......hmmmmmmmmmmm........

Good for you on the late night choices, I agree it can be SO HARD!!! Have you tried snacking on meat late night? 0 carbs and more filling......I like to have a few slices of turkey or salami on occasion IF I MUST. I really try not to eat past 8pm as it seems no matter what it is I gain from it......But that's hard when you're up until 10pm or so each night.....

Congrats on the happy weighing, I hear it can take up to 4 weeks to break or form a habit!!!

Doing well this week! Keeping the calories and the carbs low to knock off some of the extra weight that decided to claim some territory on my body. If I can continue on this path, I may get back to 150 in a few days. I have my coffee in the early AM, a protein shake for brunch and then meat and salad or veggie for dinner. I keep "talking to myself" after that in order to keep the snack monster at bay. But if I get really CRAZY for a snack, its lettuce leaves or bell pepper strips dipped in Walden Farm Sweet Onion Dressing.
