I like your journal!

My own personal bad habit that I had to get over was eating in the car alone. I had an automatic response, something about being in the car made me want food. I used to get fast food of some kind every day and park the car and eat it.

The first day I drove by myself on Atkins, I was miserable. All I could think while driving is how much I wanted to grab x or y. I decided the only way to conquer that was not eat in the car again, I suppose to break a habit you have to make a different habit. So that's my rule. Even if I get grilled chx from KFC, I wait until I'm home to sit down and eat it in my kitchen.

Wooooooooooo! There are witches in the air !!! Never heard of "Witches Night" - we have "May Day" on May 1st. Not a big deal or anything. As a child (in catholic school), we celebrated it as "Mary's Day" with May Procession ending up at a mass with flowers put at Mary's statue.

I love reading historical fiction. And have read several books regarding witches and their persecution.

Welcome! You are going to make it! I often tell myself "you're not hungry, it's just a habit" when I go into the kitchen at night looking for something to eat. Sometimes I fall asleep on the couch and when I wake up, I automatically want to eat carbs.....I'm a sleep eater I guess !
But, I'm back on plan right now and have been behaving myself .

151.6 this morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta keep this up !!!

Yesterday's food:

B-2 coffee w/almond milk
L-green salad/cottage cheese
D-left over tilapia with green beans
No snacks - made a protein shake, put it in the freezer too long (wanted something to eat with a spoon). TOO FROZEN to EAT !!!!

Maybe by the end of the week, my stats will be accurate !

Hi Garden
I do not drink alcohol and I gave up coffee. It is funny, if I go to chat, I buy green tea. But I think it makes me to choose better with whom I go to chat. It is shame that you are many thousands kilometres away, we could have green tea together.

Back to my previous stats. I want to go lower and stick it. Didn't eat much yesterday:

B-2 coffee w/slash of almond milk
L-the defrosted shake from the previous day
D-large green salad/tomato/canned tuna
S-cheese stick

I have to watch both carbs and calories to produce results!

I MUST have my coffee in the morning ! I don't really drink alcohol much either...my avi was a staged pose because we were in Ireland and my DH loves dark beer! YUCK! I hate it! He drank both pints!

I be right over the pond for some green tea!

OH Happy Day !!!!! Made it down to 149.8 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was a beautiful day !!! But the tree pollen is tearing my throat up!!!

B- 2 coffees/almond milk
L- about 2 cups of green beans
D- baked chicken thigh/asparagus/green salad
Snack -cheese stick

Picked up rent-a-car. (mine will be in the body shop for about 2 1/2 weeks).

Thanks girls! But I'm back to 150 this morning . Boo Hiss !

It must be because I tried to make sweet potato chips in the oven yesterday. That darn sweet potato was just staring and daring me to do something with him all morning! Well .... they came out REALLY GOOD !!! Sampled too many !!!

Sliced one sweet potato very thin with veggie slicer mandolin thingy. Sprayed three cookie sheets with cooking spray, placed single layer of slices on the cookie sheets, spray again and sprinkle a little salt on top. Bake at 250 for about an hour or hour and 1/2. My oven cooks hot, so you might have to watch them. Really yummy !!!

Other than the chips, my eating was pretty much the same as the day before.

Lesson learned!

Still at 150........ate the rest of the sweet potato chips...not many....now they are gone and so is the temptation !

Yesterday's other food included:

B - 2 coffees/almond milk
L - 2 cheese sticks
D - baby back ribs with broccoli salad (ribs bad choice, but good eatin')
S - those darn sweet potato chips

The dance recital was a bust! Emma did not move during the performance of the 2 year olds! But she was still "perfection" in my eyes!

Reading The Virgin Diet .... can't wrap my head around giving up eggs for 21 days. I know I could give up the dairy, gluten, nuts, sugar, etc. .... but eggs, that would be a sacrifice! I may try my own version of "virgin" by doing what she says except for the eggs! Getting protein powder and chia seeds this weekend. We'll see what happens !

My mindset is getting stronger to get SERIOUSLY back in the game! You know how you let yourself SLIDE sometimes and kinda lose your momentum....well that has been me! But for some reason, my brain is telling me that I can accomplish dropping some more weight if I "just talk to myself" !!! I can be my own best friend or my own worst enemy. You know, the devil VS angel on your shoulders ... I'm leaning towards the angel right now !!!

Very busy weekend !!!!!!! Birthday party, college graduation party, and Mother's Day !!!!!! Ate too much !!! My DH gave me Godiva chocolates and you know what that means! I'm gonna eat it ! Had dinner at my DD - steak kabobs w/veggies and quinoa salad. She made imitation Larabar balls with dates/almond flour/coconut - YUM! Love them, but they are not low carb. She's doing The Virgin Diet and has lost 15 pounds in 8 weeks.

I did get the Chia seeds and protein powder to make shakes for breakfast and lunch. I like the chia seeds! They are nutty and chewy in texture. Kinda reminds me of poppy seeds but they swell up if you let them sit in your liquid of choice. I made a shake with chia/water/protein powder/spinach and blueberries. Mixed it up in my Nutra-Bullet - tastes great !!!!

I need to stop eating this GODIVA !!!!

That is so funny!! I think I would do the same if someone gave me those Guylian seashell shaped chocolate praline thingies. If I ever had a weakness.
