I'm sure you will be! I wanted so badly to lose 30 pounds in 2012! 176 to 146 It did happen, but only lasted about 2 days ! I seem to be able to get to 148/149 and maintain. But this year I want to get to 145 or below and maintain. I feel like a yo-yo right now! But I'm still trying ! Thanks for stopping by and chatting !

Hi Garden
I know this sounds corny, but I bought this band and wear it all the time now to remind me of my goals. Whenever I feel like overeating or not exercising,I look to the band as a reminder of my goals. Maybe you have something similar that would help you.

It's not "corny" Jeanie.....I need something !!!! I kinda think I let myself "loose" because I was so good over Xmas and New Year's. Thank goodness because I guess I could have gained so much more weight had I not been in control. I'm gonna get it back together....

I do need to walk alot !!! The only time I can go is after dark and it's so cold! No excuse - I know !!! Confession - there's a treadmill in the basement - convince me to use it - call me lazy !!!

I'd rather walk outside in the sunshine! Come On Spring !!!

I can't stand walking inside! A treadmill or an indoor track - neither is fun for me. Instead I want to be outside and right now that's just hard to do. Too dark and cold in the morning and after work. I'm hoping next week when my kiddo goes back to school I can make myself go walk after I drop him off. At least 30 minutes!

Yay Susan for doing the brisk walk! You have done a great job getting to goal and staying on the right course -- don't beat yourself up over minor indiscretions! Your "cheats" are typically small and contained -- not gargantuan and sustained over time -- so you are really a good role model for us still in the weight loss phase!

WooHoo ! Your mood is better ! I'm so glad it worked. I walked outside yesterday and it felt so good, and Allie loved it too . ;0)

Yes, you have very minor "cheats" and you have done wonderfully .

What's the weather like there ? do y'all get snow ? It's high 40's - low 50's here and overcast, but I love love love cold weather and long for snow Alas, this IS south texas, it'll be 90 before I know it ......yuck.

Hope you have a great day ! I'm down 1.2 lbs this am

Thank you Laura! I've had a much better day - mood and food wise! It was about 40 degrees when I was outside this morning, but blue skies and sunny. That makes all the difference. We really haven't had a severe cold snap yet. No snow either yet, but I bet Jeanie has seen some. She is in a more north western part of Maryland than I am. Doesn't 50 in south Texas feel really cold to you?

no..... I absolutely love it ! Everyone is bundled up like Eskimos....... haha !! ..... I rarely even wear a light jacket in the winter cause I want to enjoy the little bit of cool weather we do get.

Gotta go walk Allie in a bit ! Not sunny, but at least it's cool !

Yesterday's calories around 1,000. No change on the scale. Gotta be a good girl for the rest of the weekend. It's a grocery shopping day. Salad mixes, veggies, meat and eggs here I come. I hope to get another walk in today, but it's 32 degrees, sunny and a bit breezy right now.

Started putting Xmas decorations away yesterday. I feel the desire to clean out closets and organize!

Got my 2 miles in - it took 30 minutes. I don't know if that's a good timeframe or not!?!

Do you all watch your fat calories? I haven't been and am getting reflux and not losing well.I have heard around here that sometimes as we get older the high fat will cause us to gain or stall.

Thanks! We are constantly on the move and they do wear me out, but keep me young and smiling! And they still take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon! That helps alot. I don't pick them up as much as I use to...they say " I am big now" !

Thanks for the pudding recipe!

I feel like I should, but when I eat more fat, I've noticed don't get hungry as much. I am trying to keep total calories at 1200 or below.

Finally the scale moved! Down a pound! I've walked 2 days in a row and will go out again today. It's 2 miles if I walk straight from my house to the end of my neighborhood and back. Eventually, I'll venture down a side street to add more mileage. But not yet! I'm really feeling it in my thighs and calves today ! Sunny today! High should be 49!

Well, the scale is my friend today! 147.4 this morning! Now if I could just continue to keep it moving in that downward direction . My personal goal for January is to get to 145 and maintain it for a while. Seems I get there, but it doesn't stick for long. Have been walking and my muscles feel it! It would be great if my DH would walk with me in the evenings since it's a little chilly to take the twins on a stroll during the day in January. There is a treadmill in the basement. I could use it during nap time, but I HATE it!

Yesterday was 950 calories. B-2 eggs/6 pieces of bacon
no lunch and dinner was meatballs (3 large) in marinara that I put over salad greens, sprinkled with parmesan. It was delicious! DH thought I was crazy, but I figured it's somewhat like a taco salad - so why not !?!

Have you tried any of the Leslie Sansone dvds. Great little workouts you could do while the little ones are napping. Lots of demos on youtube.

Jeanie - I'll check out Leslie on YouTube. Thanks! Did the treadmill last night - not a fan, but better than chair sitting!

147 even today! Meatball Salad again for dinner last night. Tonight will be chicken breast and oven roasted peppers/onion/mushrooms.
