we are already in the 90's here... but it makes for a good sweat when I walk in the evenings...
Susan I think your body has to adjust to the time change before it will let go of some pounds. Just relax and it will happen before you know it.. lack of sleep can stress the body out as well.. Just keep cutting calories and carbs and the pounds will drop back down into the 140's....

You are doing great getting those few lbs off, won't take long at all. Hope today is great and that you can catch up on sleep ~~ jet lag kills me for several days after a trip !!

Hi Laura! Yes, it was a great trip, but I think I'm still suffering from jet-lag!

Food Stats: 941 cal / 6 carbs Kinda over did it on the food today! Was hungry!

UGH! Same weight! 150 I really need to get my head back in the game! I have not been as meticulous with my choices this past week. Shame on me - I know what to do - so do it Susan! I'll not be happy until I see some number that begins with a one and a four. With Mother's Day tomorrow and having to do Brunch with the family, it's going to be difficult staying on plan. Yummy Carb Laden Food Alert!

Anyway........it's already 70 degrees at 7:00 am. Rain/thunderstorms expected today. I want to get to the nursery for some hanging baskets and annuals. Just walking through the many plants will make my soul happy.

Lots of weeds to pull that popped up while I was gone. Lots of blooming beauties making me smile too!

I think it must be hard to have a great time on holiday and then come straight back into low carb, so count this week as getting back into it slowly and we will start again on Monday, I was going to start today but cashew nuts called my name in the grocery store lol, and I will probably weigh 151 by Monday...oh well at least we have a plan.

Oh 70 degrees at 7 in the morning you lucky thing, our rain stopped and the sun came out but its like gale force wind out there out the moment so not very nice even in the sunshine.......I just brought some annuals and yes it made my soul happy as well, I smile as soon as I see plants lol, but I am going to wait for a nicer day to plant them and sort them out as I want to enjoy it........I love weeding lol....lucky you....I think a lot of people would think we are mad.

Food Stats: 530 cal / 14 carbs (had some popcorn)

Trying to get back into the groove with my consumption of food. So far, so good today except for the popcorn! Got outside to play for awhile before it started raining. And I ordered 3 pallets of field stones. I'm forever building raised beds. I tore up an old bed that I was not happy with. Now I can rebuild and start from scratch .

Susan you are doing OK so don't worry about it. We all need breaks. You will do fine. It takes time to get back on board. 3 pellets of field stone, oh what fun you are going to have with that lot, sitting in the sun and the dirt...sounds magical, have you started it yet, you need another week off to go and play don't you only this time in your garden lol.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! Lovely day yesterday! Beautiful weather, great Brunch and a little yard work! I had a mimosa, Seafood Crepe Boat with side salad. It was huge! Yummy shrimp, scallops, crab in a cream sauce wrapped in a crepe and covered with melted cheese. Had steak and salad for dinner. But then I had some chocolate, nuts, cookies and a beer! Shame on me!

Weight..........151 !!!!!! Back on a strict plan to get back down into the 140's for sure. I'm ready Sandy! Let's GO !

My stones will be delivered this week and I'll break into them on Friday. They will keep me busy for the rest of the summer.

Oh my gosh your food sounded to die for....totally divine especially that seafood crepe boat...I love seafood, now I have to boil some eggs as I am starving lol.
151 isn't a bad starting weight, I am only just over half a pound away from you, so ok let the fun begin lol....I will be so strict with my eating now as I can't let you beat me lol......
It sounds like your summer project is going to be lovely, you will have to share pics when you have it done.

151 again today

It has gotten so hot so quickly here! I don't like it! 88 yesterday and up to 90 today. And..........my DH says it's "too early" o turn on the AC !!!!! I will not be referring to him as my "DH" anymore - he will be "DA" if he holds to this attitude. I'll let you figure that one out.

Lol Susan, I am still trying to figure out what the A stands for lol.....oh you are lucky having heat.....I am sitting here with my heating on full blast lol as I am chilly, I would do anything for your weather right now.
I didn't weigh this morning as it was a mad morning with not enough sleep last night, woke up late, had visitors, still haven't showered....I hate mornings like this, unorganized.....shame about the scales driving you mad, I wonder what mine would have said.....ok need to go drink coffee and hit the shower..

Hello Susan...my scales have become my mortal enemy as well, I think there's something going on in the stars...the only explanation I can think of. Screw it.
We've also suddenly jumped up the temps, but we're in the eighties. My dh is also refusing to put the air conditioner on. I'm threatening divorce. I don't mind during the day, but at night, combined with my hot flashes, I've been tossing and turning all night. I want to push his snoring body right out of bed. lol Maybe tonight I will! And I think I may have figured out the "A". lol!!!

Well girls I've done much better today with food.

Food Stats: 459 cal / 12 carbs

I love how everyone is getting their hands dirty with planting! And guess what! The AC was turned on today! I had to give the man a kiss! (The "DA" was for Dumb A** by the way.) I guess I will have to refer to him as DH again. It was miserable sleeping last night and I think it got to him as well. Mary - you will definitely need to push your DH out of bed! Heat and Snoring-OMG!

Fingers crossed for some kind of loss tomorrow morning!

Glad to see the scales moved for you Susan, once it starts it will keep on going. It is an awfully slow process, I was just thinking this morning that I've only lost one and a half pounds in two weeks, which is unacceptable in my book, but really what is there to do? We need to enjoy life, it's much too short!
I'm happy for you with the air conditioning, my dh is still holding out. I did take the comforter off the bed last night (um, probably should have done that sooner?) and changed it to the summer bedspread this morning, and it is a bit cooler today so maybe I'll sleep tonight. lol Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hey Susan, sorry to hear you're feeling low. Sometimes when we get back from vacation we jump right back into our routines a little too fast and it just wears us out. Get some rest, you deserve it. Today will be our hottest day yet, 87 hot and humid, but expecting rain all day tomorrow and the highs for the weekend are predicted to be 50's and low 60's. Take it easy on yourself and feel better soon!
