Hello Susan! Thanks for stopping by my journal! So happy the scale moved for you, you're working so hard for this. We definitely have a lot in common...we're even the same height! I feel you about this weather...I live in upstate NY and it's been brutal this year...It's finally starting to ease up a little, we've been in the forties this week although there are still giant piles of snow everywhere and I'm so tired of this scenery. I want to sit on my porch....I want to garden...I want to take my granddaughter to the playground! Well spring is officially here, so maybe the weather will start to cooperate? I'm hoping! Keep up the good work-you're definitely motivating me!

We can keep motivating each other! Yes, this wicked winter has been very trying! My son is visiting his girlfriend in NY right now - Spring Break. She is a senior at college in Albany and is from Granville. I don't know how you New Yorkers handle winter! Gardening is calling my name also. Can't wait to spend some time outside in the dirt.

I am glad the colour came out great, I have the same issue with hairdressers, I remember one time going with my daughter, my daughter wanted her hair cut short, I wanted a trim....we were all so busy chatting and laughing that the silly woman cut a big chunk out of my hair thinking it was me that wanted it short lol.....so I ended up with really short hair that time....she was such a nice woman I couldn't moan at her lol, it didn't suit me though so was glad when it grew back a bit.....but they do always seem to cut it shorter....the good thing is you don't have to go back so soon as it takes a while to grow....by the time you go on your trip it will look amazing, if we go anywhere I always get my hair done a month beforehand to let it grow and look a bit more natural......your trip sounds lovely whoop whoop, and you will be a skinny minny by then lol.
Ha! Ha! That was funny about your hair! I do think we gab to much when the cutting is going on! I hope to be skinnier than I am now by the end of April! My DH loves to travel. This trip has been on the books since last year. We've been to Italy, Ireland, Scotland so far. I'm sure the list will grow as long as my DH gets his way! I picked this destination to see the tulips!

I cannot believe my eyes!!!!!!!!!

Slept in because I don't have the twins today. Mammo day - blah! And I woke up after a horrid dream that my neighborhood had been taken over by the developer and everyone's house was being rennovated. All the houses were connected and looked the same. And no one knew this was happening! Construction workers everywhere, mud and mess! I went to the mailbox and saw everything that was going on. My DD and twins were in my house and I could not get back in. To get back in you had to take an elevator. I got in the elevator with a bunch of business people and then the elevator got stuck. I woke up. I need someone to analyze this dream! Or I need to eat a cookie!

Can't stop laughing.....lol, that is to funny, but some dreams are so real aren't they.... I used to have dreams about my house in Canada, we used to have five acres of the most beautiful forest with pathways etc, and I used to continually dream that either there was a railway track running through it, or that the tree's were burning.....I was always so relieved when I woke up lol.....I think the reason I used to dream this is because I loved what I had so much that I was worried something was going to come along and ruin it all.....maybe you love your house so much that it was just one of those worries....I am hopeless at figuring out dreams lol.....anyway so glad you woke up and got out of that elevator lol, what a crazy dream.

And a big YAHOOOOOOOOO for you.....I was so glad to see your loss, as I am worried about stalling out lol......phew I feel much better now lol......CONGRATULATIONS WOMAN, now I am going to have a good day lol......do not eat that cookie I will kill you lol.....

YAY! The SSJJ Club! Welcome Girls! The more the merrier! We will have a great time encouraging one another!

I am happy to report 155.2 this morning! I was a little concerned because I indulged in 2 cups of popcorn last night. It was the lowest carb/calorie popcorn I could find at the store. Boy, you really have to read the labels and watch the calories. It was Orville R. Natural/Simply Salted Microwave kind. The packet makes a little over 4 cups. I put the remaining 2 cups aside for another night.

Yard work today! It's going to be lovely - 70 ish !!!!

Hi girls! Susan that was great that you could eat popcorn and still loose. Popcorn and pb are my very fav. foods. I could live on popcorn of any kind but I will write this brand down to remember. So glad it did not bother scales. One question to you. I know sandy has not but have you used any atkins bars or shakes while doing this. Just asking as I have them here. I know some people say they stall out on them. My goal for this first day is under 1000 cal. and 20 carbs. Thanks for letting us join in. I can tell you this. Don't touch fried rice and all the other stuff at a buffett. I said goodby to that last night knowing I was going very low in carbs and cal. and had a 3 1/2 gain over night. I knew it would happen but when doing low carb most of the time I try to fit it in before I start a new way that way I will not crave it will trying to stay away from carbs. That being said I am starting out 151.7 lbs. size 10 pants and med. shirts. Here goes day 1. Good luck every one.

No, I have never eaten an Atkins bar. I look at them but put them back on the shelf. They have too many calories and too many carbs in my book. I have used Fiber One 90 calorie bars because they have alot of fiber, which reduces your overall carbs. I can honestly tell you that I have not had a craving for those either since reducing my total calories and carbs. My desire for them has disappeared. My go to treat right now is the popcorn or a small square of very dark chocolate. And a tasty drink called Sparkling Ice (0 everything). I hope the moderators do not remove this post because I named names .

Great Job on your food stats.... I was able to keep my calories down but still working on the carbs.
And I will have to keep the popcorn in mind as well. I like the Kettle kind, will have to read labels and see what I can come up with.

I've made my March goal of 155 even! I must confess that I ate more snacks last night than I posted in my food stats. So I am way over the amounts I posted. Bless me Father for I have sinned: Last night I had a snacking frenzy: 2 cups popcorn & square of chocolate (these were in my food stats) - but then I had 17 pepperoni chips with pizza sauce & a little parmesan, another piece of chocolate, one Fig Newton, a Little Debbie Coco Cake and a single serving bag of Utz chips. The only excuse I have for this is that I was home alone as it was DH's poker night and I am very upset that the voles have eaten my tulip bulbs from the front garden bed and I will have no tulips this Spring! I have had those tulips for years and now they are gone! My only recourse is to buy potted tulips and plant them in "wire mesh cages" to keep them safe from the horrid little voles. My cats are not doing their job! I need to out smart the varmits!

Anyway........I still lost a few ounces and made my March goal, but if I hadn't eaten those snacks, I would have lost some more.

OK, I won't. Today is much colder than yesterday - so no yardwork, laundry & house cleaning to do, dinner is going to be baked chicken leg quarters & green beans. I'll try not to eat anything else. And by the way.....your new name is "Smalls" !

Whoop whoop Susan, even after having a snack attack you still lost lol...amazing...I know those snacky things get us now and again....my hubby has to eat his snacks in a different room from me now lol.....anyway we can totally blame your dh for going out...totally his fault....its always their fault lol, I am now looking forward to tomorrows whooshes, I love getting up in the morning, running to the bathroom, racing back to my room which is where I keep the scale....and these days always have a huge smile on my face....
I was devastated to read about your bulbs being eaten, oh my....things like that bother me for days....day to day things hardly ever bother me....but losing plants....oh that's awful...you won't feel better until you have replaced them .....so sorry to hear that though, especially if you have had them for years....good job you don't have a shotgun lol you would be out there every night trying to get the mean little critters.....I am having a problem with my cordisil plant....I can't remember how to spell it now lol, but its going yellow, it doesn't need water....going to buy it some plant food today....but that's the kind of thing that really really bothers me lol....which is why I felt awful for you with your bulbs....ok enough rambling, I am going to see how Jeanne and Judy from the SSJJ club are doing lol.
