Yipee Skippy ! I'm down a pound! So excited to see this change on the scale today. It will help me get through the weekend! (I hope!) I haven't been actually feeling hungry lately. Must be the extra fat in all the eggs I've added lately.

I forgot to mention that last Sunday I freaked out when I opened the refrigerator to boil up some more eggs. On Saturday, I purchased 2 packs of 18 eggs just to have boiled eggs on hand. On Sunday, I put a pot of water on the stove to boil, opened the refrig to get the eggs and THEY WERE NOT THERE! WTH! Where are my eggs!?! I searched the refrig, I looked in the pantry, I looked in the cabinets - thinking I was losing my mind! WTH!
Where are my eggs!?! I know I bought them, I know I paid for them! I would have noticed if I left them in the cart! I asked my son if he took my eggs, he of course looked at me like I was crazy. So I went to my car, looked in the trunk - nothing. Looked in the back seat - and there was the bag - sitting in my grandson's car seat ....... glad it was cold enough to keep safe. I was never so relieved to find my lovely eggs in order to keep me on plan! I don't think I'll lose my eggs this weekend .

158.2 this morning!

Thanks Gail! My daughter snapped the photo on her phone when she was retrieving the kids one day in August. We were busy jumping in rain puddles and shaking the rain drops from the Crape Myrtle limbs - hence the rubber boots!

Crazy start to my day. Grandkids arrived and Emma proceeded to vomit.

DD stayed for several hours to see how things progressed. Afraid to put her back in the car for fear of vomit. By 11:00 things got better and no more vomit and safe to travel back home.

Hard to see a little one suffer.

Anyway - my weight is STS. My goal this week is to drop another pound and keep it off!

Yay Me! 157 today!

I am so excited to see a new lower number! I have basically been eating hard boiled eggs, strawberries, meat and vegetable. Keeping calories under 900 daily and carbs around 20 or lower.

Feeling positive !

STS

Funeral for a friend (64) tomorrow. Not looking forward to the tears it will bring. He was a Vietnam Vet, wounded/lost leg, cancer survivor, recovering from a stroke, in rehab and had a heart attack. Didn't make it.

Gotta get to the store to buy the makings for the Thanksgiving feast. Made the list last night - boy! it is a long list. It will be an "all day in the kitchen" kinda day for a 20 minute feast.

"Well, I've been waiting for this day for a year now. One year ago I made up my mind to lose weight. My weight was 176 - now I'm 150. I did not make my goal of losing 30 pounds. I can't hide the fact that I am disappointed, but I am not discouraged! I will continue to make the effort to remove some of the weight that my body still wants to hold near and dear! My big issue is late night noshing. I wish I could make myself just go to bed at 9:00, but I stay up until 11:00 or later and start snacking. And not always a "good for the diet" snack! I know this is why I stay around 150 and don't go lower, but I continue to do it. Go figure! Yep, disappointed, but like I said - Not discouraged! I'll get my focus back eventually 'cause I certainly don't want to go back to 176 !!!!"

I posted the above statement 1 year ago today.
So today marks 2 years of trying to slim down. My weight now is 162!
Boy I wish I was 150 like last year! I wouldn't be so frustrated.

Yay! You are back! We missed you, Susan. First, please don't be discouraged. 162 is actually not a bad weight for your height and age -- I mean, you are NOT obese or even technically overweight. Second, you are not 176 pounds anymore so look on the bright side -- you DID maintain some of your weight loss. And, you have been through a lot this year with your husband's back illness, the death of a close friend, etc. Life isn't easy and neither is weight loss.

Once the holiday craziness is over, you will get back into a good groove again. 150 will be here before you know it. I predict you will be 150 before Springtime.

Thanks for stopping in Gail and Laura. Your encouragement is very appreciated. I am re-focusing and continue to read Maria Emmerich's amazing books. She is becoming my most favorite diet/healthy well-being guru. The latest information I have absorbed is to eat more healthy fat to become a "fat burner". If too much protein is eaten, it turns to sugar (carbs) and your fat stays put. So I'm upping the healthy fats, drinking more water, fasting from bedtime until around 10:30 am in order for my body to burn some excess fat.

Gail - I am actually considered "obese" at this weight for my height. Which I think is "crazy". I know I'm plump, but not "obese." I let Thanksgiving become Thankseating of the wrong foods. It put me back so bad!

I feel much more confident and slim around 147-150. I plan to get there by New Year's!

Woke up to 160 today . Hopefully the scale will continue to be my friend .
Today will be shopping for Xmas, groceries. Wanted to go to Annapolis, but might wait until tomorrow when the weather is less nasty. It's an hours drive. Winter storm warning is posted for counties above us. We will hopefully just have rain.

Have a pleasant day!

Hello Jeanie! Thanks for stopping by! Thank you for the invite to join the challenge. But I'm not a faithful participant when it comes to the challenge boards as I have recently joined one and have not followed through with it. I do appreciate your kindness though and for that, I thank you.

I'm re-focusing on me and seeing success! I am being very careful to only feed myself one healthy meal a day. And if I snack at night it is almonds, celery or a small frozen fat bomb.

This may be a temporary fix for me, but the results are making me happy at the moment. I woke up to 158.6 this morning!

We did go to Annapolis yesterday to look at zero-gravity recliners. My DH has debilitating sciatica issues. He has gained relief from physical therapy these last couple of months. The chairs are awesome! We purchased one for him and will get a matching one for me in a couple of months as they are pricey.

My nourishment yesterday came from 2 coffees w/almond milk and I swallowed a tblsp of CO for breakfast, large Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad at Chili's (didn't use the dressing), didn't want dinner because the lunch was late. Had some almonds at night and another tblsp of CO.

And I started taking my CLA, Evening Primrose Oil, D3 and Amino Complex again. I need to get more 5 HTP.

So, here lately, I'm on the right track and feeling good. Reading Maria Emmerich's books are empowering me to become healthy while dropping weight.

Today will be more Xmas shopping! Oh joy !

She provides so much nutritional information, it's amazing! Doctors don't tell you the things she does. My doctor once said to me "you don't lose weight by eating fiber" ....... excuse me, but he is uninformed..... we have to educate ourselves!

Those chairs are awesome! You can get them with massage also. The store we went to is called "The Healthy Back Store". We got the electric model without massage (I didn't like the manual lift features).

Weight remains the same today - was hoping for a slight loss - oh well as long as it keep going down, I'm happy!

Only 2 more items to buy for Christmas! Couldn't bring myself to visit another store yesterday. But, I still need to wrap
everything.
