WEll, girls.. where are ya...??

so todays lunch didn't go as planned.. my MIL and I went over to the next town over and she wanted to try this new Mexican Buffet... it was awesome.. TO awesome really..... so much for portion control....

but its done.. its over.. no dwelling.. lets move on.. I am human.. its gonna happen.. whats most important is.. its not happening daily .. they say.. 80/20.. that was my 20..

and dinner.. I just made a taco salad..didn't even finish it all..just lettuce.. half a tomato.. some black olives..taco meat.. ( hamb. and Linda Sues taco seasoning).. ranch dressing

I am so tired.. ( carbs from lunch and time change mixed together..) so..

good night all..

P.S. expecting some of those lost pounds to find their way home.... but.. that to shall pass!

Did you think I wouldn't show up???

Breakfast... we're not talking about it.

Lunch- chicken with no skin, 2 pieces pizza- just the toppings, salad bar with bleu cheese dressing (Lisa's favorite LOL)

Dinner- green salad with shrimp, poached salmon and broccoli, sf ice cream

Remember- no internet access for next 8 days, and kind of sketchy after that for a bit. Don't think I've forgotten y'all!

I'm here! I'm here!! It's been really hectic the last few days.

I've been doing good during the day, but after work I'm still not doing so hot.

I have found some kellogg breakfast sandwiches that are really good, but I think I'm going to go back to jimmy dean d-lights because they are more filling and last longer. The little kellogg thngy's I think I'll get for late night snacking problems. I need something easy, fast and light during those times.

I forgot to weigh on Monday, but tuesday showed me at my highest weight ever! Can't cry too much about it . . . I did it to myself with my overeating and lackadasical attitude.

Worked out Tuesday with the trainer at my gym. I'm wanting to add some cardio to the mix but am worried about my knees and ankle. I'll get up early tomorrow and hit the gym for about 15 minutes. It's all I can handle right now...5 min elliptical/10 min recumbent bike. OIY . . . I have lost sooooo much ground and have such a long way to go . . . .

Working 10 hour days right now . . . so I need to get ready for bed. I haven't been going to bed at a decent hour and that is contributing to my poor food choices.

Thanks, Lisa, for starting our new thread!

Hiya Raini!!

Taco "Cupcakes"
Source: Emily Bites Original

Ingredients:
1 ½ t chili oil (found near the Asian ingredients)
½ lb 95% lean ground beef
1 T taco seasoning
¾ c canned black beans, drained and rinsed
16 wonton wrappers (found in the produce section)
5 T + 1 t of queso dip or salsa con queso (I used Wholly Guacamole Queso Blanco)
1 c chunky salsa (I used Wholly Guacamole Medium Salsa)
1 c reduced fat shredded Mexican cheese (I used Weight Watchers brand)

Directions:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 375. Lightly mist 8 cups in a muffin tin with cooking spray and set aside.
2. Heat chili oil in a sauté pan or large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and taco seasoning and brown beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Add black beans and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes until warm.
3. Push a wonton wrapper into the bottom of each of the eight sprayed cups in the muffin tin. Spoon a teaspoon of queso dip into each wonton wrapper and spread across the bottom. Follow by spooning some of the meat/beans mixture into each cup (using about half the total mixture) and then splitting ½ cup of the salsa evenly into each cup. Sprinkle about half the shredded Mexican cheese evenly over the top of each cup. Press another wonton wrapper on top and repeat the layering steps with the remaining ingredients.
4. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from muffin tin.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not gonna go exactly by this recipe.. but I thought it a great ideas and portion control..
Howdy... just checking in. Haven't been doing great but today I totally blew it. Kind of scared of the consequences--- didn't have dinner planned and dh offered to make a sandwich for me. How stupid was I to accept that offer??? I am going to ache so much by tomorrow and probably so much tonight that I won't be able to sleep. Swollen ankles, swollen painful knees and other joints, heartburn and a broken-out scalp are in my near future. What an idiot I am.
yeah, well, Im not doing well either.. ugh...
but did you know...?
-The ideal amount of water to drink each day is 1L per 100lbs you weigh. So if you are 150lbs this should be 1.5L and 200 lbs then 2L. If you don’t drink water daily your insides are like a fish tank that hasn’t been cleaned out in weeks – get the picture!!
found this on another site... interesting!
I've made it so far, but i'm starving. I've had all my water and have used the restroom more times today than I have in a week! I should see a nice drop on the scale in the morning, I would think.
Someone has been in my apartment looking around. *sigh* Although I live in utter chaos, I can tell when things have been moved and tonight when I walked in two things just jumped out at me as being out of place. Nothing I can do about it . . . I know the "handy man" comes and goes as he pleases . . . wish this wasn't the case, but I've never found anything "stolen" so I tolerate it.
I've got some motivational videos to watch so I'm going to get . . . see ya tomorrow.
I know what you mean. I almost . . . ALMOST decided to go to hardees for breakfast this morning as my usual routine, but I had to really knuckle down and be firm with myself . . . I hate th first several days . . . getting past that desire for unhealthy foods is soooooooooooooooooo hard!
I will only charge you $5.00 for my consult . . .
I know what you mean, Ms. Lisa. It is sooooooo like an addiction. The hardest part is starting it. The second hardest part is sticking with it and the last hardest part is maintaining what you lost.
As you know I started yesterday again . . . but I woke up this morning and all I wanted were chips, fast food, sodas, pizza, chinese food . . . name all my vices and you pretty much have it. I HATE having to white knuckle through these times. I HATE fighting cravings. I wish it wasn't that way, but it is . . . I have to accept that and move on . . .
I'm probably going to text you today and beg you to help keep me from going to Taco bell or some place ridiculous . . . I'm here for you to if you want to use me . . . in AA I think they call them "sponsors" or something like that. Will you be my sponsor? I will be yours . . .
Funny . . . When i was planning to start yesterday I was thinking about how i never stick to it . . . how I will probably fail again . . . setting myself up for more dissapointment . . . but then I started watching that guys videos I was telling you about (I'll send you the link) and I could see visible improvment from week to week in his body. AND he measured each week and there was almost always a change in his measurements. I was amazed. Then I realized that just because I can't see the changes in my body when I'm trying, doesn't mean it's not working. So I am looking forward to this challenge.
i have broken up my goal into 12 week intervals. That should bring me to 8 challenges plus one week to get to goal . . . I'm kinda getting excited about it . . .
There were things this guy said during his weight gain and then weight loss that struck home with me and I realized that a lot of my "laziness" isn't because I am naturally lazy but because I am just tooooooo fat to do anything about anything.
I am keeping a video journal this time around, so I hope this will help keep me motivated as well.
Now tell me . . . what can I do to help you in your journey? I'll text you every morning if you want . . . I'll text you every night or face time with you to keep you away from the munchies . . . think . . . what can i do ??
UGH! I found a hole in my pants where the thighs rub together. I hate ordering new pants. I wish they wouldn't wear out. I also wish I would have awoken today a size 10, but wishin' ain't gettin'.
I just realized that I've been on this site for 12 years . . . been to goal once . . . stayed there all of about 6 months and that was all she wrote . . . man that's depressing . . .
"Lord I try running my own race
Losing ground, losing hope
Losing sight of Your face
And I'm ready to retire
Then I'm back on Your solid ground
You remind me of the strength
That in You I've found
And You fill me with Your fire
The race is on" from The Race Is On ~on MICHAEL W. SMITH PROJECT
I thought you could use some cheering up today. It's funny because I almost burst into tears as I was buying them.
