Hi Raini. Good to see you again.

I've been MIA, I know. Haven't done anything with the weight loss for some time now. My mom just died and I feel I owe it to her to start back up again, so I'll be starting my new nutrition plan on Monday.

i'm hoping ms. lisa will be back on a regular basis now, as well . . . seeing that we are all back. She's doing really well, btw. So proud of her.

I was so sorry to hear about your mom and I've been praying for you. I lost my mom to CA as well when I was a teenager.

Tell Ms Lisa to come on back. We'll have a big reunion!

Well here's what I would like to accomplish in September . . . a little ambitious, but I'm gonna give it a try . . .

Elliptical - 30 miles
recumbent bike - 60 miles
walking - 10 miles
strength training - 12 sessions
water intake - 3 liters a day
no fast food
no pop
And start sleeping in my bed instead of on the couch

I realized today that when I was down at my mom's house I had no problem in taking care of her because I loved her so much! But now that I am home I am sitting around and eating junk . . . not really doing much of anything . . . I think it's because I don't think about taking care of myself . . . I don't think about how my lifestyle isn't healthy . . . I don't think, period. That must change. If I treated my mom the way I treat myself, people would arrest me for neglect.

BREAD ROUNDS (homemade Arnolds)

2/3 cup almond flour
3 eggs – set one egg white aside
˝ tsp salt
˝ tsp baking powder
4 TBL melted butter – if you use salted butter omit salt
How To Prepare:
Beat 1 egg white in bowl until stiff, set aside

Mix other ingredients in bowl, then fold the egg white in gently like with oopsies. This will give them a little height.

Drop from TBS on cookie sheet and spread out if necessary. (I'm going to put them in my muffin top pan)

Bake at 350 until golden brown in preheated oven.

Good point, D. It IS important to take care of ourselves. I feel like I am always dropping what I am doing or changing my plans to take care of everyone else, so my needs are not getting met. This afternoon I put my foot down when a neighbor asked dh if she, her husband and their guests could watch a football game at our house. Dh wasn't going to be home, I would have had to change my plans, clean the house and have snacks ready and I don't even watch football! If they had asked a few days ago, I would have considered it. But serving food to people I don't know when I can't even eat any of it would just be setting me up for failure.

Good luck on your September goals. Sometimes I wish I had access to a decent gym, but I don't even do what I could be doing, so I should quit complaining! LOL

I haven't actually tried these yet, Raini. I will be making them sometime today, though. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Well, I did it. I went to the gym this morning. Was supposed to go yesterday, but I just couldn't push myself to go. I just laid around all day and slept off and on and ate terrible. But today is the day. I originally said I was going to start on Monday and it is Monday, so . . . I went to the gym. Then I went to the grocery store and bought some supplies. Now I am going to take a nap, then get up and start cooking. I'm going to start taking care of myself even if it kills me!

Oh . . . and I started a "gym bank". Every time I go to the gym I will be putting a dollar in the bank. By the end of the year, I should have some money saved up for some new clothing or new tennis shoes.

Did I even say to Raini/??? Hello lady!! how goes it???

I've been a busy girl .... today is my last day of vacation time.. back to the grind tomorrow.. made 2 different kinds of low carb breads.. and made up some egg salad... was enough for lunch for the week.. till the MIL had to have some and I'm sure she will again... sighhh... anywho.. I'll manage like always..

so far today... 3 fried eggs for brekki and egg salad for lunch... tasted a bit of the first bread w a table spoon of natural peanut butter.. not too bad.. but like D said.. feels like corn bread :P ..taste like eggs to me..lol

ok.. gonna get... love and hugs

Good job everybody, for getting back on track!

I'm down 8 pounds since last Wednesday. Seems to be not moving again, but I haven't been eating enough so I knew this would happen. Time to step it up!

My SIL kept me on the phone for nearly and\ hour and a half today, so I haven't even had breakfast and it's time for lunch. She's blind and on dialysis, so I feel bad when I avoid her phone calls, but I can't get her off the phone so you can understand why I do avoid them. Dh won't answer it when he knows who it is! Anyway, off to forage for food...

Hi Raini, Hi Lisa . . .

Wow . . . coming home this evening was a trip. I am stuffed to the gills, but all I wanted to do was stop at taco bell for a midnight run for the border. I didn't do it, but it was only a last minute decision . . .

Maybe tomorrows cravings won't be so bad.

Never thought of that!

Having another big ol' honkin' salad tonight! Me loves a good salad!

I've had to reevaluate my goals . . . too ambitious for now. Will post later what I think is more doable . . .

BTW Lisa, everyone loved your E riddle.

Total loss for this past week was 8 pounds. I think it would have been better if I'd eaten more. Last night I ate a big salad and one Trader Joe's enchilada (1/2 package) and snacked on some sesame crackers. Up one pound this morning! My goodness, I bet I didn't even eat 800 calories, but they must have been the wrong ones.

I've got the munchies this evening and not a single clues as to what I can/should/might eat.

I'm struggling pretty badly tonight. Went to the store before going over to Lisa's tonight and I couldn't get chip fantasies out of my brain. We went to see a movie and I was fine until I dropped Lisa off at her house . . .

Good grief! You would think I'm some sort of drug addict! I kept thinking about getting a milk shake of all things. I don't drink milk shakes; maybe one every three years or so . . . but there it was. Then I started thinking about food even though I am stuffed. It was so bad! So I stopped at McDonalds and got a diet coke. At least it is sweet, although I really wanted to stay away from pop. But it was either pop or a milk shake or worse . . . chips or something inappropriate.

Good job on staying away from the milkshake and other junk, D. See? You're doing great!

Tomorrow might be a challenge for me. Heading off-island after church on my own. No time to eat at home first, so I will be alone AND hungry and near all the junk food places. I haven't been following the 15 day plan for a few days. Thought I had a handle on staying away from junk and thought I could make good choices. Wrong. : ( DD is coming Monday and I am planning healthy meals, and then maybe going back on the plan after she leaves...?

Heart-burn tonight and glad for it. I need to be reminded why I don't eat wheat.

Ummmm, Raini? If you know you won't have time to eat at home before you leave, doesn't that mean you've already planned to fail? I mean, couldn't you get your meal together the night before or get up a little earlier?
