Hi everyone! I'm Caligirl3, a professional single mom to 2 beautiful children who loves to SCUBA dive & swim! Always looking for the next trip to take, place to see. I lost my way when I went through a divorce, and essentially lost focus of my health. Now I've licked my wounds, dusted myself off, and it's time to put me first again.

I have 128 total pounds to lose, and I plan on achieving it in a year's time: October 1, 2012- November 21, 2013. I have outlined my goals, and while I realize that my "mileage may vary" it is helpful to "see" where I'm going on this journey, and not jumping in blind.

I will be doing 4 long rounds of 60-days each (on homeopathic patches), with 6-week transition periods in between. I hope to lose around 30 lbs per round, but will be just happy to see the scale move in a downward direction!

I'm a super planner, so I needed to see how my year will "play out" and where I'll be (approximately) at each point in my journey. So I came up with the following list:

Round 1
P2: 10/1/2012 - 12/1/2012 (60 days)
P3: 12/2/2012 - 12/23/2012 (21 days)
P4: 12/24/2012 - 1/12/2012 (21 days)

Round 2
P2: 1/13/2013 - 3/14/2013 (60 days)
P3: 3/15/2013 - 4/5/2013 (21 days)
P4: 4/6/2013 - 4/26/2013 (21 days)

Round 3
P2: 4/27/2013 -6/26/2013 (60 days)
P3: 6/27/2013 - 7/18/2013 (21 days)
P4: 7/19/2013 - 8/8/2013 (21 days)

Round 4
P2: 8/9/2013 - 10/8/2013 (60 days)
P3: 10/9/2013 - 10/30/2013 (21 days)
P4: 10/31/213 - 11/21/2013 (21 days)

So, today is R1P2D24, and well, I can say I'm firmly rooted in my first round of this protocol that is HCG. I'm on schedule to lose as I hope to this round (30-35lbs). I'm down 16.6 lbs so far and have 36 days left to lose 13-18 pounds more to reach my goal for R1. Actually, I hope to lose 30-35 each of my 4 rounds (60 days remember), with about 23 lbs for my last round.

I know what you're thinking - I'm WAY over-thinking this! I agree with you. But I needed to "sketch" it out since I have such a long road ahead. Also, it helps me to visualize what my "maintenance/transition" periods of P3/P4 look like. It's very different for me to think about putting losses on hold, but I'm going to trust the process. It's working so far, so I'm not going to fool with it.

I've decided to journal my progress, so I'll have something to look back on. I realize in some ways the weight loss is the easy period since it's laid out for me. I haven't been off protocol once, and I feel so empowered. This is the first plan I haven't cheated on in over 3 weeks in! I also realize that P3/P4 are the harder parts. I'm very apprehensive about moving to the next phase. But for now, I'm 1/3 of the way through P2, and I like it here. I have time to get used to the idea. :confused:

In the mean time, I'm praying for more releases! If I can take off another 15-20 pounds in the next 36 days, I'll be ecstatic and right on schedule to meet my goals! :jumpjoy:

Feel free to follow me and give me some advice! Keep in mind that I'm pretty strictly POP with my veggies, etc. But I recently added 1 tsp coconut oil a few days a week due to some hair loss. I'm now on Biotin, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, B-12 and a women's multi-vitamin and it has subsided - Thank God! :aprayer:

My hair is my best feature, lol! What good is being skinny and BALD?! LOL!:eek:

Good luck on your journey! It sounds like you are doing great so far and you've got a great plan. I am a "planner" too so I totally understand! We are very close in height and have similar goals. I randomly picked 145 because that's what I was in college (and I thought I was "fat" - ugh) but I really don't know where I'll end up. I am at 192 now and trying to take it one decade at a time.

I'm sure you already know this - but I just thought I'd mention that you can do 3 weeks of P3 and then cycle back to P2. As long as you stabilize well, there is no problem with it. For me, I don't see why I should go to P4 and add back sugars or starches when I still have a lot more weight to lose? So I do three weeks of low carb eating on P3 and then go back to the injections and VLCD. Just a thought - since you have so much to lose. But then you'd have to adjust your schedule - lol.

Hello!! I was just about to say the SAME THINGS that Kim said about being a planner and skipping P4! :hiya:

I think it will be important to go through one 'full' round through P4 then the remaining rounds it might work for you to cycle from P2 to P3, etc.. if you search for cycling in the hcg forum you should find some threads about it if you'd like to learn more.

Well, I'm up a pound after losing two yesterday?! Whatever. I started TOM so that may be why. It is my first cycle on hcg, so I'm not really sure how it affects losses.

I decided to try on a pair of pants I bought this summer (18's) that still had the tags on. When I started this thing on Oct. 1st I was in my 22's. Today, I'm wearing those 18's (albeit a bit snug), but I'm wearing 'em! So scale upset led me to a non scale victory.

I'm keeping the faith, and have 33 days to go on this long round. I'm down 17 lbs today R1P2D26.

Keep plugging away...

YAY new size!! That's awesome :)

When TOM comes around I usually bump up a few pounds then drop them a few days later, I hope you keep seeing the losses!

Well, this round has been.... LONG! I had a mishap with the patches and gained 7 lbs. Then I got back to 253.5 where I have been for 5 days. Today's my first apple day. Tomorrow is going to be the last day of drops, then on Saturday, I start P3. I'm NOT going to do these mega long rounds again. I'm on R1P2D55 and got stuck basically.

So, finishing up my last dosage tomorrow, then on to P3 on Saturday. Can't wait! Readjusted my schedule to 30-day rounds with 21 days P3 in between:

Yay!!!
Last dosage weight today, and I'm down 20lbs this round! Woo hoo... Now, on to my 3 drop-less days then P3 for 21 days before my next round. So glad it turns out my next load days are xmas eve/xmas!

First day, no drops. Up a half a pound from LDW, but I'm still using my LDW as the weight to maintain. I have 3 weeks to begin my exercise routine again, and up my calories. I'm nervous, excited and scared all at the same time.

R1P3D8: still at LDW of 248...

A couple more weeks to enjoy P3 foods, yay!!! Then next loading days are 12/24-12/26... So far I've added in almonds, some white cheese, yogurt, yellow squash, broccoli and other veggies.

I'm waiting for my last week of P3 to buy a loaf of almond bread. I'm going to try sprouted grain corn tortillas next week. Otherwise, I'm doing well... Kinda boring in P3, but the food is AMAZING! Funny I thought I'd run to the Ezekiel products right away, but just upping my cals and fat, has given me such satisfaction, it's been soo easy to stick to. Nice!

R1 P4 D25: at +2LDW

I'm getting ready to begin my second round on Feb. 1st and get the next 20lbs off. I'm now pretty well stabilized, and just amping up to lose this next 20!
