Day 1

Hi everyone!

First of all, thank you This Time for remembering my birthday. I'm sorry I didn't pass through here and at least thank you for that. Very sweet of you....

I've gained weight. I weighed myself and I'm not liking what I see AT ALL.

My husband's situation has improved. His boss was fired, but he's still in a depression. Funny thing is, he's on meds, he seems fine, but now he tells me that maybe the depression WASN'T caused by his job, after all. *sigh*

I realized today that I can't keep treating my weight as the LAST priority. I have to get back on the train and eat properly. Even though tomorrow I have a catered event to attend, I've re-dedicated myself to eating low carb as I did before. I need this--if my husband goes back to work and my eating is off track, I'll feel so out of control, I'll crack.

So, to those of you who followed my blog--I thank you from the bottom of my heart and hope that I am still someone that you're willing to follow.

I'm re-set my counter. This is DAY ONE and I am just as PO'D and vengeful as I was before!

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 decaf coffee w/cream
1 sparkling water

Lunch:
5 chicken weiners (no gluten, no carbs)
1 tbsp GUK (mayo, garlic)
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Chicken breasts
Spaghetti Squash

Hello all!

Well, first off...I have to apologize for being MiA for all these months. As many of you know, my husband had a relapse and ended up at home on sick leave for the second time in one year. It has been a rough few months, but this time he went on meds, had counselling, went to group therapy and finally--he's himself again. He's now back to work and so far he's doing well.

I can't say that his situation did me any favours. I stress-ate, although I didn't reach near the bottom that I had a couple of years ago when I decided to start this blog. I did weigh in around July 1 and found myself at 314 lbs. UGH. Well on my way to gaining back every bloody pound I fought so hard to lose.

Something did click though and since then I've been watching my carbs and my portions AND I've incorporated exercise into my daily routine. I walk 5K per day (briskly, it takes me about 1 hour to complete) and I feel like a million bucks. In the past three weeks, I've lost 15 lbs and I hope to be at my posted weight by September.

SO, I kind of lost a year of weightloss, but as I always say "slow and steady wins the race"....

I can't promise that I'll be posting everyday, but I will come in and post my diet and exercise accomplishments.

Thanks to everyone who dropped by and left messages while I was gone---I really appreciated knowing how many people missed me.

Hi all!

I'm happy to say that I am doing very very WELL.

I told myself I would not post again until I hit my "posted" weight and as of this morning, I am at my "posted" weight.

I set a goal on July 1st that I would be down to 290 for my sister's wedding on August 16th and if all goes well, I will MEET that goal.

I feel MUCH better exercising but having more variety in my meals. I have salad with dried cranberries, sushi and dim sum....except, I don't overload on it.

I am ROCKING the weight loss now!

Hi All!

I am still chugging along! Making progress and just loving my new exercise program.

Keeping busy has been key for me.

This week, I have new carpet being installed in my basement, my sister's wedding on Saturday, then on Tuesday FOUR of my inlaws are coming to stay with us for two weeks AND we're travelling up north with them.

In between all that, i have a new side job that is so challenging....that takes up any extra time I may have.

No time to eat-weight loss!!!

Good for you MS! I have a fitbit pedometer and it worked to get me going 2 months ago. I've fallen down and am trying to get up.. Thanks for the inspiration!
