Back to posting on weekends! I need this to keep me honest, not only to others but to myself as well.

Hubby and I are eating chicken wings. I just stocked up on meat and cheese at the Farmer's Market.

No menu set for today.

Happy to report that I am in ketosis!

Yesterday was busy! After my post we shopped then I went home and cleaned the whole house. I have some work to do on my side jobs today but other than that, I'm going to relax.

No food plans yet but yesterday all I ate was chicken wings.

Still on track, no issues!

I'm actually quite excited to weigh myself, but I do have to decide if I'm going to do it this week or next week...decisions, decisions.

I'm dealing with more stress with my husband, but I find that it's easier for me to deal with it when I'm on track with my eating.

Breakfast:
2 eggs
1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
2 chicken legs
1 oz german salami
2 Vache Que Rit
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Quiche
2 Grapefruit Perrier

Hey there MS - I am glad you are feeling better. I totally understand! Being in charge of what we put in our mouth (or not!) is so empowering! Sorry there are still issues with DH.. lots of crapola going on over here, too.. *sigh*.. always something.

Only a little more than 2 months until spring!!!!

((hugs)),

Hey Dipgal! I hear ya when you say "it's always something"....so true. I always tell myself "it could be worse"...and it's true!

1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
.5 oz German Salami
2 Vache que Rit

Happy Friday to all!!

Dipgal--My husband is from the Netherlands. He's only lived in Canada for about 8.5 years.

Getting his citizenship means that we can travel a lot easier to and from the United States. Everytime we go over for a day trip, he has to go to immigration at the border and get a US Visa. It's annoying because when I go over, I just show my passport and drive across. He's keeping his Dutch citizenship, as well....

This morning my boiled eggs exploded in the water so I had nothing to eat for breakfast. My hubby was in a hurry to get to work, so I just passed by McDonald's and ordered scrambled eggs. I've noticed that they're much more accommodating than they used to be. I asked for two servings of scrambled eggs in one package and they gave it to me, no questions asked! Back in 2000 when I first low carbed, I remember McDonald's giving me a hard time because I asked for a big breakfast without the pancakes!

Breakfast:
2 servings of scrambled eggs
1 large decaf coffee

Lunch:
2 chicken legs
2 oz ricotta cheese
1 oz hungarian salami
1 diet soda
1 sparkling water

Dinner:
We're going to an "After Xmas, Xmas party" tonight at a restaurant near my house. I checked out the menu and I think I may try the veal scallopini. It could have some flour in the sauce, but it's an Italian restaurant so it'll be difficult to find something TOTALLY legal. I'll make the best of it!

At the movies with my hubby. Tom arrived today and the cramps are almost unbearable.

Party last night was fun. We walked there and back. I had a steak and a Caesar salad.

Breakfast of bacon and eggs today. ..don't know what else I'm eating today.

Saw the Wolf of Wall Street--it was awesome. Don't see it if you're easily offended by swearing, sex, drugs or nudity, though.

I'm in the throes of the worst period of my adult life. I don't know what's going on...I feel dizzy and nauseated and the cramps are insane. I don't have an over the counter drug that even helps! Ugh. I ended up getting some Tylenol with codeine from the pharmacist (we can buy low dose codeine over the counter here). That helped a bit.

My food choices were pretty lame--I ate eggs and bacon for breakfast and an omelette for dinner.

Good Sunday to all!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm at work bright and early because January and February are my busiest months. To top everything off, I have a three day business trip to California in February....blah! I'm worried about fitting in the bloody seats, so I'm even more committed to eating clean and losing weight. OH--not sure if I mentioned this at the beginning of the year, but my sister is getting married again in August and I'd really like to lose another 50lbs by then!

Speaking of my sister, today is her 28th birthday!

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 decaf coffee
1 glass of water

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
2 Vache que rit
1 oz summer sausage
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Quiche!

Hi Gabby! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm persistent because I need to keep track of my health. The weight loss is just the happy by-product of my healthy eating.....I'm trying not to focus so much on huge losses. I'll take 50lbs lost a year......I'm completely happy with that!

I'm at work at 7.00 am again today. I was so exhausted last night, hubby and I went to bed at 9.00 pm! I feel great this morning (except for the bitter cold) but I have a TON of work to do since my superiors are all out of the office for the next 3 days.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
2 Vache Que Rit
1 oz summer sausage
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Just realized I forgot to take my fish out of the freezer, but that's ok....
BACON and EGGS for dinner!

I too am very impressed with your commitment and dedication. I admire your combination of goal setting (to lose weight for the plane trip and the wedding) along with a sensible approach of not being totally focused on losing large amounts of weight quickly. I think you are very determined and yet realistic and together those attitudes will lead to your success.

Hi Linda and Lola....thanks for coming by!

Lola--speaking of plane trips, I have to go to California in February so it's in my best interest to at least lose another 10 lbs by then. Damn seats! I carry the majority of my weight in my hips and arse, so you can imagine the kind of hell traveling is for me.

I weighed in this morning at a whopping 311.6. Now, at first I was as MAD AS HELL, but then I realized that my period isn't quite over--I'm still retaining fluid. I also ate two salty sausages before bed last night and woke up at 2 am and drank a whole can of diet Ginger Ale (I know, bad...but I was PARCHED and warm water from the tap wasn't cutting it). I think the combination of the three left me with a really unreliable weight on the scale. We'll see what happens next week.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
1 oz summer sausage
2 Vache que rit
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Quiche

Hi MS and friends! Waving hi.. I've been busy digging deep into my soul, and MS, some of what I am discovering may be helpful to you.. Come on over to my journal and have a read.

Regarding the airplane.. I bought a seat belt extender a few years ago and that helped my stress level. It was getting to the point that I could barely buckle the seat belts in the plane and it put a damper on my vacations. I just bring mine in my purse and don't have any problems. Regarding the width of the seats, just keep the arm rest up until you settle in.. Then put it down and even if it kinda rests on your hip, there shouldn't be a problem fitting.

Hiya Judy!

I'll come by your blog on the weekend--I'm swamped at work. I'm already coming in every day at 7 am and the person I work with has decided to go on holidays next week....*sigh*....

I usually don't need a seatbelt extender, but when I do I just ask for one. Most planes have them. That's not really my issue--it's a 5.5 hour flight and I want to be comfortable. My flight back is a red-eye so I want to sleep, too.

Anyways...I lost a pound overnight--I don't really know what's behind this ridiculous gain I've had.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
2 chicken legs
2 vache que rit
1 oz summer sausage
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Mexican Chicken

Happy Friday, all!

I'm at work early again and it'll be this way all next week, too! Oh, the delights of the "busy season"....

I weighed myself this morning--I've lost 3 of the 5 lbs I was up this week. So weird--it must be fluid, but WHY? I'm guessing no significant BM this week (sorry for TMI) as well as too much salty stuff during the day....it's going, so that's good.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 glass of water (I should be adding this, I drink of glass of water when I wake up)
1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
2 chicken legs
1 oz summer sausage
2 oz ricotta cheese
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Salmon

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 glass of water
1 cup black tea

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
1.5 roasted red peppers
1 oz mancheco cheese

My niece was born yesterday! She was a healthy 8 lbs, 3 oz and 21 inches long. She has the nicest light brown hair and is just cute, cute, cute! (No name yet!)

I weighed in this morning at 307. Not sure what's going on here. I thought I would have lost all the fluid by now, but I'm thinking the sausage I was eating for lunch last week may have caused me to retain a lot. I have nixed that this week.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 decaf coffee

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
1.5 roasted red peppers
1 oz Gouda with truffles
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Fast fry steaks with horseradish

Weighed in at 306 this morning...it was flirting with 305.

It's clear to me that the sausage that was eating from the supermarket is far more salty than the one I was buying from the farmer's market and it was causing me to retain water. Seems like I've lost the most since I stopped eating it on Saturday.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs
1 large decaf coffee

Lunch:
3 chicken legs
1.5 roasted red peppers
1 oz aged goat cheese
1 diet soda

Dinner:
Salmon filets
