An omelette
Bacon
1 decaf coffee

Don't know yet

Have a great day all!

Day 111

Sunday and all is well. We don't watch the superbowl so it's just a regular Sunday for me!

Yesterday I did all my housework so besides some grocery shopping, I'm relaxing today.

I just had some eggs and bacon for breakfast and I have no idea what I'm eating the rest of the day.

Something strange has been happening to me the past few days---I'm having wicked cramps despite being about a week away from my period. Thankfully, I'm having my yearly physical on the 7th so I'll ask the doc about it then.

Have a good Sunday!

Sounds like your weekend is going well, Melles. Glad you get to relax.

We don't watch the super bowl here either. I hate professional sports. I view them as a humungous waste of money...but thats just me.

I'm getting ready to go get my granddaughter and we are going for a bike ride today. Hope I can keep up!

Day 112

I started the day off by being angry at my cell phone provider. Then I dropped a whole cup of green tea on myself, so now I smell like green tea. I guess there are worse things to smell like.

The weekend was good--I accomplished almost all of what I set out to accomplish, but I am so bummed out about my weight. I have to take stock of what I'm eating and determine if my calories are too high.

Today I'm cutting down my lunch to three small chicken legs and a diet soda. Dinner is a trout filet and veggies. It's not MUCH less than what I have been eating, but I did have some cheese as a snack with my chicken before.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken legs
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 trout filet w/tartar sauce
Eggplant/onions roasted
1 diet soda

Your determination continues to impress me. I'm guessing you will have the WHOOSH they talk about on this boards. Maybe be down a few pounds all at once.

Thanks!

I certainly hope that I experience a WHOOSH. Sadly, I'm expecting my period soon, so it's only going up from here.

On the weekend, I told my husband that it's unfair. If I was gaining while eating scads of yummy treats, I'd totally understand a gain, but not with what I'm eating. If feels like a slap in the face when I eat healthy (I don't even eat loads of high calorie coconut oil and treats) and I still GAIN.

I'm committed because I have little choice. I gain like mad when I eat crap, so at least this way I'm controlling it to some degree.

Day 113

As much as I'm enjoying my veggies, sadly they'll have to be relegated to weekends again--I just can't handle gaining a pound a day.

Not only haven't I lost in ages, but I'm up 3 lbs from my posted stats! How is that? I don't cheat! I don't eat dozens of cupcakes like I did before. I don't eat any sugar, I don't eat starchy veggies, I don't eat flour, I watch my carbs... WTH?

*sigh*...I'm expecting my period. I know this. I know I'm retaining water, but STILL...if I was losing WEIGHT and retaining water, I'd still show LESS water retention, wouldn't I?

I'll keep going because I promised myself that I would. I owe it to ME to see this out but I'm angry.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream
1 cup black tea

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken legs (small)
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 veal chop
1 diet soda

Sigh....I really like veggies.

Day 114

Blah...suffering with my period right now. Cramps from HELL and all the other lovely benefits of being a woman of child bearing age. *sigh*

Today was weigh in day and I'm proud to say that I lost almost 2 lbs from my posted stats! I guess I was bloated or something but the extra weight I saw earlier in the week was gone this morning! YAY!

I think I'm going to log my food into my tracker. I already log my weight there (not sure why, probably because I had an old weight logged in there and I wanted to see how far down I could bring it).....I will continue with my blog here.
Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs w/kosher salt
1 cup of decaf with 5% cream
1 cup of black tea with 2 tbsps of 1% milk (hey, I was at work and I felt like milk in my tea...I'll own it)

Lunch:
3 small roasted chicken legs
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 large chicken breast prepared with 2 tbsps of salsa, 3 slices of bacon and 1/4 c. of shredded cheese
1 diet soda

Are going to count your calories? It often looks like you don't eat that much food. What are the suggested calories for you for a day?

I know L C is not about calories, but I found I finally had to add that in to get an overall picture. I am also MUCH older than you so that makes things different. You could easily be my child!

I have always had to watch my weight. For some reason JUDDD seemed so doable for me. I definitely eat all of my down day calories, but it seems to have worked. It is not for people who can binge as an up day can get out of hand! I use it with healthy foods, but have a bit of a goodie if I want it.

My hubbie who basically eats low carb has put some weight on. He read about one of the food trackers in the current Consumer's Reports and added it to his phone. He had started adding some goodies and was appaled at the calorie counts. I have had a good laugh. It is an eye opener. That being said, you do need enough calories to keep the system humming along, too.....

I have also been reading The Perfect Health Diet. They allow what they call "safe starches" which are potatoes, rice and sweet potatoes. They also want you to eat some root veggies. There is a very long post on LCF about the book and way of eating. All "food" for thought!

Hugs

Day 115

Hi Seabreezes!

I guess I want to track my calories to some degree. When I see my weigh inching up, I assume that I've been having too many "hidden" calories. I don't feel like I eat too little because I'm always feeling satisfied, but the last couple of days, I was hungry and that makes me wonder if I've gone out of ketosis. That's really my biggest fear---having my cravings return.

Sometimes I snack on things after dinner---last night, I had a couple of tablespoons of whipped peanut butter with unsweetened cocoa. While the carbs might be fine, I know that pb has a lot of calories.

I guess actually logging my food keeps me feeling that I have "double" protection---low carbs which keep my cravings in check and low calories. In my tracker, I have 1200 calories as my daily allowance.

Today will be one HECK of a day for me--my friend's mom died and I have to go to the visiting after work.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream
1 cup tea with 2 tbsp milk

Lunch:
2 small chicken legs, roasted (4 because dinner will be very late tonight)
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 chicken breast with salsa, bacon and cheese
1 diet soda

Day 116

Snowstorm today---wow, it is treacherous out there! By the time I got to work, I only had about a 6 inch swath of clear visibility on my windshield. Whew. Luckily, we're going to call it a day after lunch.....(the joys of being part of the "essential staff"....)

I'm feeling better about my WOE and I'm guessing it has something to do with my period winding down and my mood getting brighter. I had some very awful water retention this month that really knocked me for a loop physically and mentally.

My husband is working all weekend, so I'll be trying to get all my side work finished. I have to close the payroll year as well as catch up on some applications that require filing.

Breakfast:
2 eggs boiled with kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream
1 cup black tea with 2 tbsps milk

Lunch:
Don't know--maybe caesar salad--the boss is ordering in today
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 chicken breast with salsa, bacon and cheese (not eaten yesterday, my Mom and I went out for Japanese instead...long story)
1 diet soda

Day 117 and 118

I just realized I forgot to blog yesterday! How did that happen???

I'll tell you how--I spent 4 hours working on my side jobs and then I spent the rest of the day helping my Dad shovel his driveway. So, I may have forgotten to blog, but I got a lot of physical exercise in....

My husband had to work yesterday, so I'm going to spend today with him, instead of doing my usual housework.

Just watched Justin Bieber on SNL (recorded from last night)...he's such a sweetheart AND he's Canadian (lived not too far from us, too).....

Breakfast:
2 egg omelet with cheese
3 strips of bacon
1 cup of decaf with 5% cream

Lunch:
Don't know yet!

Dinner:

Day 119

Back at work after a pretty busy weekend.

I ended up suffering from a migraine all day yesterday. Even after going to bed at 10.00 pm, I'm still feeling woozy this morning. Typical for me---I do suffer from migraines.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream

Lunch:
3 chicken legs (roasted)
1 diet soda
6 small cubes of cheddar

Dinner:
Leftover chicken breast with salsa, cheese and bacon
1 diet soda

I'm trying to nix the extra veggies and eat more clean this week, since the scale is up another 3 lbs.

Wish me luck!

Sorry about the migraine. I used to get them so bad I had to stay in bed but that hasn't happened for many years thank heavens.

I haven't been on the scale in weeks and it feels so freeing. Weighing just makes me crazy and makes me eat if it doesn't show me a loss when I think it should. I measure and I am down inches though.

Keep up the good work. This weight loss stuff ain't for the weak! lol

I have to weigh myself or else I fall off the wagon.

Waiting patiently for today's migraine to be over. ...

1 decaf coffee with 5% cream
1 black tea

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken legs
1 oz medium cheddar

Day 121

Still eating clean, but I have a terrible headache today---this is day 4 of migraine pain for me. *sigh*....I forgot to weigh myself this morning AND I forgot to take something out of the freezer for dinner. Thankfully, I remembered about dinner and drove back home and took out some salmon--I didn't realize about the weigh in until I got to work.

I'll weigh myself tomorrow and report any losses.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs w/kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream
1 large decaf with half and half

Lunch:
3 chicken legs (roasted)
1 diet soda
1 oz medium cheddar cheese

Dinner:
1 salmon steak
1 diet soda

Hi Melles, sorry the headaches are still hanging on.
Thanks, JayLyn!

Today I seem to be fine...probably because I lost weight and I'm at a new low!

I weighed in at 321.6 today!

It's only one lb, but STILL, I feel overjoyed that the scale moved in the right direction. I AM beginning to see a pattern. It appears that I begin retaining water around the time that I ovulate and I don't shed it completely until after my period is finished (which explains why I see a whoosh once a month or so).

I have been eating cleaner ie: no veggies except on weekends, so that might be the trick, too.

I logged my calories into my "tracker" and it appears that I've been eating around 1200 per day, so that's just about where I need to be.

You sound a bit down, JayLyn--how is JUUDD working for you?

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup decaf with 5% cream
1 cup decaf with half and half

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken legs
1 oz medium cheddar
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 chicken bouquet (chicken breast, stuffed with cheese and asparagus (1 spear)
1 diet soda

Hi Melles, I'm fine. JUDDD is working great for the most part. No WOE is perfect, right? I have lost about 20 lbs since Thanksgiving, so I'm happy with that. I only weight once or twice a month because the scales drive me nut and JUDDD is famous for having a lot of scale bounces, but there is definitely a downward trend just like with you.

What I love about JUDDD is that it is so flexible. And I feel so much better than when I'm on other "diets".....I hate that word...lol

I have more energy and I just feel better eating this way.

20lbs since Thanksgiving is GREAT!

I might do some research on JUDDD...lower calorie seems to work for me.

Day 123

Valentine's Day wasn't great.

My husband came home late and very upset about his work. I spent what was left of the evening trying to calm him down and help him develop techniques to deal with the situation he's in at work. I felt good about having helped him afterwards, but it put a pall over Valentine's Day.

My husband had called me earlier in the day and although we usually don't exchange gifts on Valentine's Day, I bought him two bottles of wine and I wrote him a nice message in a card just to cheer him up. Needless to say, it didn't work and he ended up feeling terrible because he didn't buy me anything. I explained that it wasn't really a Valentine's gift--just a "hope you feel better gift" but I don't know if that message really got through.

Despite the stress that I feel from my husband's situation, I still ate normally and watched my portions. I noticed myself wanting to snack more than normal which indicates that although I have been binge free for four months, the tendency to overeat to feel better is still alive and well. I'll have to work on that.

...and SO the drama continues. My husband just called me from work to say that there's a tempest in the teapot that he has to deal with. What a bunch of morons. I wish I could say that he works for some privately owed, poorly managed company, but sadly, this is a major bank. Unbelievable.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup of decaf with 5% cream
1 cup of decaf with half and half

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken legs
1 diet soda
1 oz medium cheddar

Dinner:
Chicken breast with salsa, bacon and cheese
1 diet soda

Day 124

It's SATURDAY and it's a LONG WEEKEND! YAY!

Today I'm cleaning the house and then we're going to a birthday party, which should be nice. Tomorrow we're planning to wake up early and go to the Auto Show which is in Toronto this weekend and next. I'm not all that into cars, but I know that my husband will enjoy it (he deserves to do something enjoyable, considering the bull he deals with at work).

On the holiday Monday, I have to finish all the payroll year end for my side projects. Not something I'm looking forward to, but I think I can get it all done in the morning.

Breakfast:
3 fried eggs in butter
4 slices of crispy bacon
1 cup of decaf w/5% cream

Lunch:
Don't know

Dinner:
Don't know.

It's the weekend and I'm playing it by ear, but I'll definitely have some VEGGIES!!!!!!

Day 125

Yesterday I skipped lunch but we ate a great dinner at a local restaurant that we hadn't tried before. I had a 14oz prime rib. It came with a savory bread pudding and potatoes but I opted for cabbage and green beans instead. The cabbage ended up being sweet so I didn't eat it. The meat was divine!

I'm now on the train on my way to the auto show.

Breakfast:
3 eggs fried in butter
1 cup decaf with 5% cream

Lunch:
Don't know

Dinner:
Chicken wings

Day 126

Today is almost over and I haven't posted any updates! Gosh, what a busy holiday I had, but at least I completed a couple of tasks that were really weighing heavily on my mind.

At the moment, I'm uninstalling Adobe Reader from my laptop so I can print a Citizenship application for my husband. He swears we've applied for the government to send it to us, but I can't find it anywhere.

Quick edit--my husband took a photo of me at the Auto Show yesterday and I actually see a difference in the way I look! The weight has made a difference in my face, for sure.

Breakfast: (We had a family day breakfast with my brother and sister, fun!)
1 Montreal smoked meat omelette with swiss cheese
2 cups of decaf with cream

Lunch:
None

Dinner:
Leftover chicken breast with bacon and cheese

Day 127

At the doctor's office for my annual physical.

My husband is losing a lot of weight due to job stress. He only eats half his meals and he's naturally a light eater to begin with. His anxiety is so sad. I wish there was something I could do.

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup decaf

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken leg
1 oz medium cheddar cheese
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 trout filet
1 diet soda

Day 128

Today I weighed in at exactly the same weight as last week...right down to the ounce! Remaining the same weight doesn't bother me--it beats gaining.

My husband has stabilized his situation at work, but I'm not sure if it's going to last. Thankfully, his anxiety level has dropped off and he even ate all of his breakfast this morning.

He's 6'3" and 199lbs. He was 218, so he's lost close to 20 lbs. The problem is, he doesn't want to lose more but he keeps losing because of his inability to eat. I hope his weight stabilizes. I remember when I first met him and he was 190--he was very bony.

Interesting story about work:

I work with a woman who just found out she has very high blood pressure. She's very short (under 5') and weighs 140lbs. Her doctor told her to cut out processed food, fast food and lower her weight. Yesterday, she came into my office and she was eating a tart from the breakroom. She was lamenting that it was "OK" for her because *I* (referring to me) am much fatter than she is and she can "afford" to eat a tart.

I had just been to the doctor and my blood pressure is excellent. I wanted to tell her that I'm losing weight and her blood pressure is very dangerous. It's probably JUST AS IMPORTANT for her to lose weight.

Ah, well...what can you do?

Breakfast:
2 boiled eggs with kosher salt
1 cup of decaf with 5% cream
1 cup of decaf with cream (at work)

Lunch:
3 roasted chicken legs
1 oz medium cheddar
1 diet soda

Dinner:
1 veal chop
1 diet soda
