Wow another drop, almost a pound! So happy you are happy!

Yes that 'window' that becomes a ball n chain. If you were going to walk today, the weather must be improving to 'tolerable'!

Hey chica!

238.0 -- go, YOU! I love how this plan is working for you.

Maybe you could put some really good music on & dance for awhile? That can be a good "workout" sometimes.

Yeah I guess it is a new low, huh? Didn't even think of that

The weather has been beautiful the last week or so..high has been in high 70's -low 80's.. the only time it's "hot" is when you're just sitting in the sun, then it gets warm.. We had actual 50-something this morning..you'd have thought a blizzard was rolling through with the way some of these people were dressed here this morning ...no, me, I'm wandering around in capris and a t-shirt

The doorbell rang around 9:30 this morning and I thought, OMG they're here already!! ...well, no..it was Fed Ex delivering my P!nk blanket that I didn't get at the show cause they ran out.... So, I take back my bad feelings against the poor furniture guys

Alrighty, time to go fetch the kid and run to the grocery real quick! BBL...

Yes I got my blanket...at least I *think* that's what it is? It's really small though so I'm wondering if it's something that's supposed to go on a wall?? I dunno? The one I got for the last show is HUGE, at least 3x the size of this thing, so who knows? I guess it could make a good lap blankie? I'd be lying if I didn't say I feel kinda robbed by it...

So yeah, now that I put those annoyed vibes into the universe to the furniture guys now I'm sitting here waiting and waiting some more...hurry up and come already! They're probably out to lunch and here I sit...why not make the time 1-5?

Oh, Blonde~ forgot to tell you...went to MOR right?...the ONLY thing they had on clearance was this 3pc set for like $800.... it was fuscia...no joke. Floor model, as is...did I say it was fuscia? It was also that style of something you might see like at your great grandma's house... I teased DH about wanting it and he looked at me like I was completely insane. Had him going for alittle bit and all he could say over & over was, I can't believe it, I can't believe it. I was gonna take a picture of it and send it to you but the guy helping us would not leave us alone while we were trying to decide on stuff.. Maybe he knew I was making fun of it!

Ohhhh, Danielle -- I have a habit of snapping pics on my phone of hideous things. My mom & I went to this church yard sale, and they had the creepiest toys! Friggin' dolls without body parts & a little doll that resembled a baby hooker. I kept taking pics when the ladies weren't looking, and my mom was like, "You're bad!" Hehe...

Yeah, can you imagine? A fuscia sofa?? I dnno how I would have ever explained that away to my kids! They'd have disowned me, I think!
I'm still bummed about the blanket thing...I know, it's a stupid blanket..but sheesh....you saw how much those tickets cost on my FB!!!! I want my money's worth darnit!

Jacye~ OMG that picture!!! That is hilarious!!! A baby hooker!

Crazy things are afoot with my scale.... granted, I'm NOT complaining. It's going down again and I am SO thankful!! Down another 1.2 today.

I start a new week on Saturday---it's a slingshot week--all high carb days for 6 days plus my reward day on the 7th day.. These weeks always make me nervous but I'm hopeful that I'll at least maintain or be able to eek out a small loss like the last 2x I've had to do this..

AW thanks lovies!

It's crazy how much I love this plan. It's so easy and doable, even with all the food prep.. makes it all sooooo worth it. I am finding that I am able to actually enjoy the journey so much more instead of really worrying so much about how much I have to lose. While, yes, it's amazing to be losing consistently I am also able to concentrate on other areas of life too. When i read about this stuff in his book, how TOTAL transformation can happen, I thought, Pfffft yeah, right. Well, guess what? He's right. The first true step you have to take is to just "trust the process"... hard hard concept to do 1000% but it works if you do.

Hi Danielle! Thanks for dropping by and checking in on me, I'm still here and doing well -- just stressed and busy! Trying to control both issues instead of allowing them to control me - so here I am!

You are doing GREAT! Way to go! I'm going to have to read more of Chris's book. Even though I'm not following his eating plan at the moment, I always turn back to it for inspiration and motivation. He's good at that stuff.

Oh man, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when your hubby thought you really wanted that furniture.

That's the funny thing, I don't really feel like I'm doing anything It does fit the bill in a lot of ways.... the mental changes that are happening on a daily basis, I think are what's fueling my drive. I feel really content right now.

It's good that you are aware of the stress coming into your life and are dealing with it head-on. Thanks so much for the support, I am just in awe of how much this lifestyle seems to fit me...I fought it SO hard when I first bought the book and made a first half-a$$ attempt at it.. I did not want to have to plan, prep, nuthin... I have no idea wth I was so afraid of LOL... I mean, all I had to give up was a little bit of time to make sure I eat clean and stay on track. The investment has been monumental, and not just on the scale...it affects many aspects of my day-to-day...something that I am slowly learning in terms of the transformation that Chris often talks about. I always used to balk at these trainers who claimed to "get it"...I mean, not many of them have had so much as 20lbs to lose, much less upwards of 100+ pounds...but Chris seems to really get the mental and emotional parts that make up people with so much to lose. What a gift he gives to the world.

Yes, I am still giggling about the "pink" furniture.. DH on the other hand is not so easily amused

Hey Danielle! I see that you are following Chris Powells Carb cycling WOE. I just bought the book on my kindle and have been reading it. I'm planning to start it in January. I have had alot of success this year with weight watchers and 5:2 but im getting bored with those. i'm currently in a fast cycle and will probably stop my twice a week fasting next month and just maintain til january.

Anyway, what can you tell me about how this WOE has been for you? when did you start and how much have you lost? I'm excited to start it congrats on the success you've had so far! I'm all about putting in work and following an eating plan that encourages me to eat not starve and be maintainable. I don't think i could ever go back to strict induction level low carb but this carb cycling excites me because i think it'll keep my body guessing which is how i've had so much success this past year

Hey Lexi!

This is the first thing I have been able to stick with for more than a month 100% ZERO cheats.. I feel like I get the best of both worlds...high carb & low carb... I started alittle over 7 weeks ago at 254.2..I've lost about 17lbs.. to which I have ALWAYS considered myself to be a very slow loser...I'm finding I'm actually pretty average.. makes me feel better LOL I think my body likes the guessing game..
Having a reward day once a week helps--although I am finding that I very rarely want to eat anything really junky even though it's allowed. This plan counts calories not carbs which I'm finding I actually enjoy.

Which book are you reading?
The key for his plan is total transformation inside and out--this has been a huge help to me.
I'm finding that everyone is unique that follows this plan...it needs to be tweaked to personal preference, like most plans these days.
There is planning & prep required, but like with any sort of plan you have to show up for yourself in order to succeed, right?

D I think I have to pull that book out and take another look LC is not cutting it, I was so careful and lost .2 pounds that is not enough! Why did it work so well for me and then nothing? I think when I do LC I eat way too few calories versus I was looking back in like 2011 when I was at my lowest I was eating almost 2400 calories and high protein low fat, I need to reevaluate plus it is so hard with LC to stay on plan one cheat and I blow up and it takes another week to get that off!

Very proud of you hun!!!

Yanno, LC stopped working for me last year after following it to the letter for 7 months..I lost a big fat 13 lbs.. yes, it's a loss but for 7 months worth of work considering what my starting weight was???? Ummm, no. It's why I went to JUDDD...another plan that I loved but only lost like 11 lbs...both plans totally quit working and the scale only went up after awhile. Way back in 2011 you were doing the gym thing hard and eating very well... If you're plan is to go back to the gym that way then I would definitely plan your food the way you did then! It was amazing progress!! This plan can be forgiving to some, but for others I am seeing that it is not...it's very interesting. You'd have to just do it and see how it works for you. LMK if you decide to do it!

Thor! How funny! My DS14 and I joke about a certain scene in Thor all the time. When he throws his cup and screams MORE! DS14 does that at the table at least once a week! Have fun!
