Thanks! Just crazy how much my body fights me sometimes

Boy, that ole adage of "if I knew back then what I know now"...could not ring truer. If I'd have known just how lucky I was back in the day to blow out 10-14 lbs a month easily without thinking about it, I would have kept at it hardcore! 10lbs was a "bad" month for me...go figure, eh? Ah well, chalk it up to ignorance and youth, I guess!

Lord, are they! I love them! The chocolate chip cookie dough one warmed in the micro.... holy smokes. I am forever grateful that they do not create cravings or make the scale go wonky.

Definitely! Too bad we can't pick & choose, huh?

Sitting here watching the Sox kick some butt in game 6 as I slug back my water still... I may have to rethink movie popcorn from here on out!.. Good grief.... just watched the Cardinals play a game of tag on 1st base

I have not had a quest bar in some time, might have to get some to try again, they seem to have a ton of new flavors! Let me know which ones are good! They are good for an afternoon snack at work, I eat so early at 11:30 I have to take lunch so around 3:30 I am starving!

My absolute faves so far are : chococlate chip cookie dough, double chocolate brownie, double chocolate chunk, peanut butter supreme... there's a few others that are "good" but not my ultimates...cinnamon roll, chocolate peanut butter, peanut butter & jelly, rasberry cheesecake..

Aw, thank you! Truly means the world to me coming from you. You've been through it all with me, so you know.... I mean, you REALLY know!!

I've gotta figure out reward days and the holidays...not sure if it'll mess things up if I just switch the day or if I should keep my regular reward day (Fridays) and just take the hit for "holiday off days"... I'm pretty sure I'll go the first route, but asking Chris just in case. Something to do with metabolism, calories, etc... so I just wanna make doubly sure before I set myself back too much.

Yes I have been through it with you and you for me!!

I think the best part about doing a good plan during the holidays is NOT having to fight the extra pounds at the beginning of the year. I'm so glad Chris is available to answer your questions!

I asked a question yesterday and he got back to me within a couple hours. He's really good about answering his peeps

I am relieved to know that I won't be struggling when the new year begins!

Totally unrelated note: I've had the world's worst stomach ache for the last hour. No idea what it could be or what it's from? Just came on outta the blue. Meh.

ITA that I do NOT want to be "fighting" myself over the holidays. I plan to have some indulgences, but I am not going to cram my mouth full of whatever I can every day just because it's holiday season. No, ma'am!!!

I hope not! Feeling somewhat better now that I've sat still for awhile.

I dunno, I haven't written to him yet! He's tweeted back to me a couple times during the season for his show--he's pretty funny.

I do not wanna fight either! I am determined to NOT weigh more than I do now come the new year and that is exciting to me. Thankfully, I can't eat a whole lot of extra to cram my mouth much anymore...it just does not appeal

I'd write Chris and say: Dear Chris, You need to train me. I'm moving into your house tomorrow. Okay? Great!

How was Halloween? We had a good time. My son loved it this year. Every year seems to be even more fun for him. He wanted to eat all of the candy last night and I said he could have 2 and he ate 1 and was no longer interested. He even opened a kit kat, saw that there was 2 in it, and ate 1. How is he my child???

Weekend was quiet! DD17 was working all evening so it was just me & the hubbs. We had dinner at home and caught up on dvr'd shows...it was great!

^^^^^Don't think I haven't thought about it! ^^^^^ I would LOVE that, and I get jealous when the contestants on the show actually DO come and stay with them for awhile! Such a sweet family, I think it'd be a blast. He posted a cute pic of the kids and Heidi all out tot'ing.. adorable!

Awwww, I love the little ones during this time!!! Laughing about the candy....give him time, he'll figure it out!
--------------------------------

Feeling better today. Whatever was bothering me seems to have passed and gone on it's way.

Great food day yesterday. Today's reward day!
Yanno what? I realized last night that this is probably the first Halloween EVER that I have NOT had 1 piece of candy. NOT ONE! Not even on my reward days! I don't even think it dawned on me to "want it".. Crazy!!

Scale up .2 this morning. For whatever reason You'd think I'd at least be rewarded for my revelation about halloween candy! But, nooooooooo! Meh!

Not sure what's gonna happen this weekend. DH works late tonight and all day tomorrow.. DD17 is volunteering all afternoon/evening after class today..and then tomorrow she goes for SAT's.. So, I guess it's just me for a while. I think hubbs is off Sun/Mon though, so plenty of time to think of something to get into trouble with!

11/01/13...... 239.6

Good job on resisting the candy. It may have been my first Halloween without eating some too. Even though you weren't rewarded on the scale, at least it kept you in the 30s. That's great by itself! Enjoy your quiet time.

My first thought when I saw the number was annoyance and then I thought, nah, at least I'm still in the 30's..... I'ma alllll about the silver linings these days! I kept my promises to myself the whole month and it paid off...even going out of town for a few days and I managed a pretty good month! I'd be lying if I said I didn't have dreams of those freakin' waffles we had when we were in LA

I'll have a "gain" after today--it's a guarantee. I think that's partly why I was annoyed with the slight up today...I don't wanna add anymore than I need to

Just as long as you remember the slight up today is NOT fat. Because you're doing too well for that to be the case. I have to remind myself of that over and over and over. That darn scale. Keeps us accountable but sheesh, does it play with my mind!

Over at the JUDDD board we're having a No-Weigh November and I joined in. I'm not weighing until November 27th. I hope I can make it. I just want to work my plan and trust that I'll get the results I want. I feel strangely free this morning.

YES! I have to keep reminding myself of the very same thing. The scale is such a ball&chain to me but I could not do with out it
You're a much better person than I am! You have had such an awesome year, Carol! You can do this no scale thing and come back stronger for it.

I totally agree with that Danielle. I really do try to keep my thoughts on positive things, even though I'm a natural-born, what-if style worrier. I love the ideas behind The Secret and The Law of Attraction. Focus your thoughts on what you DO want rather than what you DON'T want. Either way, your thoughts are attracting that very thing to you.
