Good LC day yesterday. Got alittle hungry shortly after dinner--ended up having a few walnuts so I didn't go to bed starving. Over gallon of water.
Scale dropped "some".

Trying not to let the stress of impending road-trip get to me. Only wreaks havoc on my losses if I let it get to me! Some moments are better than others I'm trying so hard, and want to beat the small challenge that ends Sunday..I only have 1.2 lbs to win!

Thank you!

Survived the weekend! Just one more day with dh home...sometimes these get tricky because he loves to snack and munch...gets tempting sometimes!

However, I have stuck to my guns becaue for the first time my goals mean more to me than eating something that half-way thru isn't going to taste half as good as I thought it would anyways!!! The scale has rewarded me too!

244.4 New low!

I am POINT FOUR away from my challenge goal! NICE!!!!!!! 10.2 lbs in 4 weeks....I think I'm actually gonna pull it off!!!!!!

Welp, I did it. I met my little 4 week challenge ahead of schedule! Technically it doesn't end until Sunday so I still have like 5 days to keep on going! So far I've beaten it by .2, but I'm gonna see how far I can get with the rest of this week!! I am SO stoked right now.

244.0....down -.4

Such an awesome feeling to know I AM accomplishing my goals one by one.

BBL for more!

Congrats on reaching your new low & meeting the challenge!! That is awesome. Keep it up!!

I admit it has been much easier to stay on track with my husband eating LC as well, he understands that no junk is coming into the house right now. I do still have snacks for my son, but those are weird toddler puffs and things that I wouldn't eat anyway.

Thanks ladies!

Bren~ I'm so thrilled that things are clicking so well for your family! My DH still brings stuff into the house and shockingly I have not felt compelled to get into any of it. On free days, anything extra that I decide to have is always bought in a serving size or when we're out to dinner..that way there are no leftovers and I know I can only have that stuff when I'm not at home. It's made things surprisingly easy and kinda nice.
------------

Ok, so I'm a dork and I actually hit my challenge goal dead on. For whatever reason for the whole challenge I kept thinking I only had to get to 244.2..but it was 244.0 Still, I did it. And I'm awesome! JK!!!

I'd been trying to dink around with possibilities of what to do for our road trip this weekend...how to stay somewhat close to plan and still enjoy my free day in there too... Well, I'm actually contemplating just staying the course hard core and not deviating from anything while we're gone. Since the 4 week challenge doesn't technically end until Sunday I truly want to see how far I can get in an ENTIRE 4 weeks! I won't get my meals 5x a day but my choices can still be within the parameters of whether it's a LC day or a HC day...and NO free day at all. That means no beer, no goodies at the concert. I think I can do it!

HC day completed. I came in under calories by quite a bit. I have no idea how I did that but nothing I could do about it, really.
Scale moved down again, but not sure it will really "stick" once I do LC today, since I was about 350 cals short yesterday. It is what it is, and a big lesson learned to pay attention to totals well before dinner time! Honestly, I did feel like I'd been eating ALOT all day so that's why I guess I assumed I'd come right in at 1500.. Won't do that again, ya know what they say about assuming.

Danielle...you are doing AWESOME! I tried Chris's program a while back but found it was just too much counting calories and remembering whether HC or LC day and what I should be eating for this old 66 year old brain to comprehend! So glad it is working for you! I do believe the alternative LC/HC principle though....did JUDD for a while too but could't begin to live on so few calories on DD....don't do well with any plan where I feel deprived. His book contains so much wonderful advice other than just his plan.

Congratulations on meeting your goal (early even) and sticking with it for the full month. If you're anything like me...that's just as much of an accomplishment. Enjoy your weekend!

Sherrie, Thanks! It's been so easy this time around. Not sure why, but I'll run with it! I love the idea behind making promises to yourself. This has been so helpful, not just with weightloss, but other aspects of my day-to-day. The change is hugely mental and being able to break down all of that makes the losing weight part alot easier. I don't feel deprives AT ALL. While I look forward to my free day each week, I never feel compelled to have to use it or go overboard. Being able to eat such good food all week long, I think helps this mentality! That Chris, he knows his stuff

Way to go!! You are on a roll!

Road trips are the hardest, but you can do it! Maybe you could pack a little cooler with some snacks? I'm not doing carb cycling (yet) but I'm still reading CP's book because I love his ideas, plus he's so motivational and genuine, which is rare.

I'm glad the program is working out so well for you!

Thank you, Bren! Luckily it's not entirely too long, only about 4'ish hours. The hard part will be when we get there, as we're going soley for a concert. Being that we have general admission tickets way down front everyone gets there super early and just sits. Thought about the cooler but won't be something I can take in to the venue so I'm kinda out of luck there. I'll have to take some non-perishable stuff in my bag and make the most of it. It'll be fun, lots of people to meet.

I LOVE CP. He truly loves the people he helps and it's so fun to see him interact with them.

Hey Liv!!! Miss ya girl. I was so skeptical about this and dragged my feet big time the first time I attempted to do this...needless to say it was a HUGE failure and I chickened out after like 2 days and went back to doing nothing I have a long way to go and time will tell if this is the lifestyle for me. So far so good!

Good LC day yesterday. Scale stayed the same. I'm just relieved it didn't bounce UP with my faux pas with calories the day before!! I just gotta not gain anything the next 4 days since I'm only 1 pound down from my challenge goal. Pictures for official weigh in on Monday

Below are my jars I was talking about awhile ago..
There were 50 stones (which is roughly half of what I want to ultimately lose) in the "before" jar..there's 10 of those in the "Goal" jar now..haven't added my 11th one yet. Only 39 left to empty it!
Apologize for the size of the pic, I can't figure out how to shrink them.

I love your stones/jars Danielle. I saw that episode of EWL, and loved the idea. I really need to do that. I have some pretty rocks saved that I collected from my yard from when the house was first being built - kind of smooth river-rocks. I think I'll use those. Funny how little motivators like that really do work psychologically.

I'm enjoying this beautiful fall weather too. Rain has stopped here, but it's still cool and fresh. Love it!

Have a wonderful time out of town and enjoy that show!
