Wow! Beautiful fireworks Dani! We caught the ones over Boston Harbor last night -- really stunning. Be gentle with yourself with TOM -- I always feel awful the first two days and then I feel better. Once TOM goes away, you will probably lose a whole bunch of weight. Maybe a whoosh is right around the corner...

Dani I can honestly say, that picture of fireworks you posted is the only fireworks I saw. Nice!

TOM huh? That's explains a lot! You will have a whoosh. What's my excuse?

Hey Dani! My TOM is wacky sometimes too...not really sure when it's gonna show up this month.

Nice firework pics...we got to see some after a baseball game Wednesday night. We were too tired last night to go see any b/c we'd stuffed ourselves at my mom's house and then got lazy.

Thanks girls! Taking pics of fireworks is some hard work. DH just laughs at me because I slowly start getting angry as they go on and I get blurry pictures and then I start talking to myself.

Let's pray for a whoosh, but I seriously won't hold my breathe. Yesterday was a high salty day and I am feeling WAY bloated today..barely got my rings off.

Jayce~ my cycle is soooo messed up, it's been that way for a couple years now.. sometimes it doesn't come at all, some times a couple weeks late, few days, whenever... the last couple months have been just in the "days" range, either late or early.. I've had 2 months in the last year where it actually started on the 28th day.. crazy getting old!

.....worst part of TOM for me....I am always always always hungry

Mornin' Sunshine! How's the girl today?

I'm UP and not hungry...well of course. I'm only hungry when I can't have anything. Hope you get your whoosh. I still need to get a scale and baby I'm scared to weigh.

I am trying to survive..TOM is kicking my a$$ Praying it's a short one cause I can't imagine a long cycle like this...it's nuts. I feel like doodoo.

DD today and I'm hungry. Go figure, eh? Trying to stay busy and stay out of the kitchen.. waiting for maintenance to come fix my kitchen drawer and DD's light switch.. then I gotta venture out into the heat to the grocery.. Meh You'd think I'd be too hot to eat nowadays..but no, all I can think about is ice cream, slurpees, and margaritas

We're in double-digits til P!NK ....aaannnndddd I'm still fartin around trying to get to 199 I'm at a total loss with myself, I really am. I'm not giving up though, I'm terrified to think what would happen if I did

Of course you're not giving up!

Maybe you should crack open Jillian's book again? I remember it gave you a lot of powerful messages. I know that so much of my BS is 90% mental. When I'm in the wrong frame of mind I am deadly to myself...my esteem, will, mojo...whatever you want to call it, is non existent. Keep the faith my friend. You can do this, it's just harder than we like.

First I need to actually find "said book"....I'm not sure what I did with it I may have put it in a box that went out to the garage with some other stuff.. yikes, I'm getting forgetful.

UD today. I feel icky today..cramps galore and every joint in my body hurts. Thankfully the only running around I have to do is take DD to work and that's it. Otherwise it's me, the sofa & my book.

Trying to just eat intuitively today and see what happens. Woke up VERY hungry after a somewhat mediocre DD yesterday. I can't figure out what's different vs. the last time I tried JUDDD. Frustrating, at best. I do have lots going on right now emotionally and mentally, maybe all that bs is creating other things for myself. Meh. It's always *something*, isn't it? I get frustrated with this because I realize that life is never going to be perfect, like isn't going to standstill so I can lose under perfect, ideal circumstances. It's up to me to figure out how to keep rolling under whatever life throws at me. I should know this already, after my inability to keep the 80+ lbs I'd worked so hard to lose, only to regain when I wasn't prepared to handle some life changes.

Treading lightly today and trying to get myself together to commit to making sure I log everything I eat. I really hate doing it for some reason, but it's necessary.

I made some comments in my journal regarding this very thing. Maybe the problem isn't how much we're eating, but how much we're NOT dealing with the stresses in our lives. You have a lot going on right now, take care of yourself, give yourself what you need. A distraction, a movie, a good book or maybe even chicken soup. You're so right, life is never going to be perfect. We have to learn to find other ways to deal. Therein lies the rub.

Man, we are all on the same wavelength, girls! Moe, Larry and Curly!

Dani - that is my fear with JUDDDing again. That I can't make the magic happen again and that I will HATE it! I think there is something to the intuitive eating. The body's needs are not the same day to day and if you can't trust your body to tell you that you are hungry or tired, then what in the heck can you trust in?

And yeah, don't give up. Every time I do, I come back at a weight I swore I would never see again.

Hope you feel better soon. My TOMs are so bassackwards. Sometimes three weeks apart, sometimes six. I have just about had it. Too bad we have a high deductible on our health insurance, because if we didn't I'd be carrying my uterus around as a drawstring purse.

So sorry about your bad TOM, Dani. Calcium really helps with TOM symptoms. Can you eat regular or frozen yogurt? Thinking of you and hope it gets better. That could be making you feel cranky and depressed. Once it goes, you may feel 100% better.

Can I be MOE? I have the stick straight hair...

I know I shouldn't but the "uterus in the drawstring purse" made me laugh out loud.

Laura, I can't give up cause I KNOW the scale will soar All I can do is keep trying and experimenting. And somewhere in there, I am really trying to enjoy the journey, taking my time to learn, listen & grow.

...drawstring purse...definitely!

Gail, never knew that about yogurt! I'll have to try it cause right now, things truly suck

I think once we get a little bit of momentum going, then we'll be good to go...

Hey everyone. Thanks for visiting while I've been away from the boards.
Sorry to have disappeared again after seemingly getting my crap together...yet, once again.
My dad passed away last Monday. It was expected at some point, he'd been sick for awhile. I've been estranged from my family for several years now, so I've had to deal with things from afar..my 2 oldest kids have been in CA with my family..

Working on getting back to focusing on the task at hand and getting myself together. It's been a looooooong week or so..
Eating has been off & on..tried to just eat intuitively and listening to what my body is telling me. Haven't been on the scale in weeks....I suppose I should start.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father's passing, Danielle. Loss is always so hard, and can be even more so when there are unresolved conflicts. I wish you peace during this time.

You'll get back on plan when you're ready. Be kind to yourself right now, in whatever form that takes.
