Great idea on the higher DDs. Keep it as high as you can while it works! There's always time to inch down later when/if you need to.

Great UD yesterday..

Monica, we ended up not making the recipe because both girls had wonky schedules for work.. 1 got off @ 7 and the other was just starting work at 7:30.. and of course, mom & dad are always the last to know, right?
Making the recipe tonight for the fam, I hope it comes out good!

DD today; so far just a protein shake and lots of water..I'm floating already!

My list is growing of things to get done today.. let's hope I don't end up in a wheelchair, right? Physical labor is just not my thing!

I those!
It's so right that we choose to fail, we choose the option because it's easier. We can be sucessful .... we just have to commit - sometimes the hardest thing to do!

Happy Friday D! You're doing just great!

I found the Lemon Chicken recipe online and it sounds so easy. I'm glad to hear it's flavorful. Sometimes I've found lemon chicken recipes to be very bland. I'll try this one.

Have fun tonight, whatever you do!

Thank you!

Something about the combo of lemon with grilling...
Just make sure to use all fresh ingredients..fresh garlic, freshly squeezed lemons..I think it makes a huge difference. Oh also, he said minimum time to marinate was 30 minutes.. I did over 2 hours.

Funnily enough, my house still smells like lemons today Love that smell!!

Pretty good DD.. 800'ish cals..prolly more to 900 cause I did have popcorn yesterday...more than I should have ...Movie was way too cute, and I can't wait to own that one!

Really sad moment yesterday...the photography studio called to schedule DD16's senior portraits.. the last one. I remember doing DS's and thinking, ah I have a few years as DD16 was barely going into her freshman year.. boy has time gone FAST! There's been lots of discussion about colleges and such with her.. I can't believe this is the baby, already!

Preparing for a great UD..tonight is steaks on the grill

Catching up on dvr stuff and some reading...quiet day today! Love days like this..

Danielle - I saw MU too! LOVED it myself. DS14, his GF and I first watched Moster's Inc then we went to the theater to watch Monsters University! It was a fun day for us. I too had a BUNCH of popcorn!

So your DD16 is going to be a senior this year??? When does she turn 17? Is she just one of the younger ones in her class???

OMG I've been swimming in popcorn all weekend! Never so glad to have a Monday come around! Yes, she will be a senior and she will be 17 next month.. she is definitely one of the youngest in her class.. it's funny because at work she has to keep reminding them about them keeping her late, etc.. and the managers always say they forget she's a minor because she doesn't act like one! Both my girls are "young"... DD18 graduated when she was 17, DD16 will as well...and come to think of it...I did too! DS was 18 when he graduated and he was STILL one of the youngest in his class, so weird how things fluctate from grade to grade!

I thought it was great! Now I can't wait to see Dispicable Me 2 Love those lil' minions running around..

My day is just starting!! I didn't wake up til around 8 and it's barely 8:45 now.. *YAWN* ... I'm sippin on a big ole mug of coffee right now trying to get my motor running.

-------------------------------

Had a great UD..stayed within calories and drank all my water. Had a bit of heartburn last night..it was awful!

I've stayed off the scale since Friday..I've shocked even myself. However, the lovely Carly made a good point on the JUDDD forum about missing lows that show up throughout our weeks if we don't weigh daily.. given me something to think about for sure!

Quiet day..everyone working today again.. guess I'll do laundry and get some more cleaning done.. I love it when I can be productive!

We're "only" forecasted for a high of 101 today.. relatively cool compared to the weekend where it's said to be upwards of 114

Hey Dani, sorry I've been lax to come by, I'll try to be better! I can't believe how quickly time goes by. Kindergarten to graduation is rapid fast forward. My twins were 16 when they had their graduation phot0s done and they also graduated at 17.

...here I come..skidding in!

Phew, it's been busy the last coupla days..I'm tired already and it's only 10am.

Cray-cray news... my DS was nearly robbed at his work day before yesterday.. .. guy asked for money and put bag on the counter, claiming it was a bomb.. DOUBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Manager came over, pushed "the button" and the guy took off.. Good lord and everything holy..why MY kid! Ugh,...I didn't worry when he worked at the bank here, they had glass up...apparently at the one he's at near school, there is no glass.. .. makes no sense..Tucson...kinda rough.. Hmmmm ..Bombsquad and police for hours..good hell.. ..... Anywho, yeah, I was pretty freaked out and wishing I could hug him.. He's done good by humoring me with conversation and texts to let me know he's ok.

I'm probably going to need to revisit the calorie count for my DD's.. the last couple days I've noticed increased hunger to the point that it's hard to squash it..even on an UD.. No Bueno! I think I get hungrier when I break the fast too early on a DD..thinking "oh I get to eat cause I have the calories"...well, I think it's creating more work for me on UD's of all things.. I'll wait it out this week til weigh in on Sat. and see what happens..I'm dreading it though!!!! But, the only way I'll know for sure if it's working/not working is to just keep going..

Weather temps are excessive heat warnings..temps of 118+.. Guess where I'll be?... Not outside, that's for sure!

UD today..

YIKES!! That is unbelievably scary! Poor Momma. So happy it turned out okay. They'll catch the guy and he'll go to jail for years for being an idiot.

I think in the beginning JUDDD always needs a little tweaking and you'll get it just right. Hang in there my friend. Can I say that I've been JUDDDing about a week and have lost no weight, but I feel better? I'm sticking to it, because at least I'm not gaining.

Oh my dear stay inside! It's in the 90's and humid here, I can't imagine how hot it is in your town. Hydrate, then drink some.

Scary, scary about DS's experience. For all of you! I'm so glad he's okay.

With the JUDDD hungries, I have been able to tell myself that those sensations are proof that it's working and that I'm burning my fat. That works immensely better when I'm being rewarded with losses. When things are slow and my body is "catching up" as I like to say, it's a little harder to believe that. I totally agree about waiting until later to start eating. Both UD and DD. If I have to skimp later in the day I'm VERY unhappy. I'd rather stick with coffee or beverages in the morning and enjoy a nice lunch and dinner (with drinks - I always budget in my drinks on UDs!)

This heat........bleeeeeaaaahahhhhhhhhh! Gross. All I can say is I'm appreciating the DD shivers right now very much! Good incentive for keeping those DD calories super low! We're getting dangerously close to the hottest day I ever saw (1990ish) when it got to 122*. I had a job interview that afternoon, of all things. It was in Tempe and I lived in Glendale, so a 30 mile or so drive. I got about 5 miles from home and my car just said "nope, I don't think so!"

I'm trying to remain calm all the while trying not to give myself a quick kick in the a$$ for wasting so much time.. I so wanted to have been under 200 before Oct. and now feel immense pressure for it.. I am my own worst enemy.. I KNOW THIS! I'm keeping on and keeping my head up..definitely NOT giving up..just realizing that half a year has gone by and I'm still in the same place!

Well no wonder I'm SOOO hungry..there's lots of fat to burn! I need to remember to just stay calm and not jump ship in a moment of panic.. so hard for me to do but I'm really trying because I'm so tired of being all over the grid with diets and weight loss..

This heat.. We need a "heat day" ...like a snow day.. Ya think?

It is WAY hot and my a/c is already workin hard this morning!!
-------------------------

DD today. Going to keep cals in the higher range for one last DD and will weigh in the morning.. if it's not a good result then I will lower DD cals and keep moving..

So far today, just coffee.. found a starbucks mocha coffee

DD16 has had 1 day of consuming gluten..night before last.. yesterday she had a flare up and was miserable for most of the afternoon.. My heart breaks to see her like that.. I dunno how many days I will actually get her to actually do what she's supposed to.. she'd been feeling so good being GF.. this whole thing is way way hard and confusing... also hard because she's working about 17 hrs a week so trying to plan this gluten thing around days at a time where she's not scheduled to accommodate the tummy aches.. I feel like a really bad mom!

We're going to see The Heat tonight. Looks really funny and I could use funny right about now. One movie I really can't wait to see?...Despicable Me 2..

Hiding from the heat as much as possible today..
