Oh that bark sounds really good!!!! I want to try that!

One way I up my fat is by eating natural or organic peanut butter, yum! I buy brands that don't have added sugar. Still it has some carbs, but I stay in ketosis even if I'm not always perfectly at 20 carbs a day. I also cook with lard, because I've read alot about how vegetable/canola/corn etc... oils really aren't good for you. Plus it adds a lot of yummy flavor to your food!

and it says on it that it has no scent.. I'm going to try some in coffee but would much prefer somehting that has maybe a flavor to it instead of just feeling like I got a grease slick in there for nuthin..KWIM? I would love love love to consider peanut butter still but part of the candida overgrowth thing says to stay away from peanuts because they're moldy.. That has always been my favorite part about going lc...but now I see perhaps that may be one reason why I've struggled to drop the weight too..so we'll see. At a later date I'd like to see if I can add it in moderation, at least!Thank you! Love you girl! ![]() Quote:
I'm gonna go for the bark and see how that works, also dropping some CO in my coffee..what kind of CO do you use? ____________________________________ Day 1 started today. So did TOM Yep, and 3 days early to boot. OYE!Scale said 233.2. Meh. Hoping maybe if I can be good this week I can maybe sail out of the 30's once and for all. Having to truly get acclimated back into the lc way of eating..feels sooooo strange! Breakfast was good up until I realized that my creamer wasn't sf Will have to get some pronto, but so far so good otherwise. Ear is same, lots of crackling going on so maybe it's getting ready to pop? Sinuses are still messed up. Hoping once I begin supps this stuff will die off and leave me alone for once. DD16 home today with a tummy ache.. just want 1 week where NO ONE in this family is sick. ![]() |

I am starting to get excited. Honestly, not so much when I came to realization that I *had* to do it... Now that I'm starting to feel better tho...whole different story! WE got this, hon!_____________________________________ Phew! Busy day! Days off with the hubbs are like that tho and I love them. ♥ First day went well, and my 2nd day is proving to be more of the same. I am already noticing marked improvements in many areas after just less than 2 days on plan. Utterly amazing.
Those things in less than 24 hrs. Total amazeballs. Scale was down .6 All things considered, it's pretty good. TOM is kicking my a$$ ATM so I'm feeling lucky it's not up 20lbs, not to mention that the yeast thing is probably an issue (mostly likely has been for some time = less than stellar weight loss results) ![]() So, feeling better, scale's moving down, and my hunger is in check. Already! ![]() Bought supps today. Will begin in the a.m. Also found CO and will make some bark ASAP, as well as, add it to my coffee..definitely intrigued! |

Yay, Danielle! That's a great report. I'm glad it's going well for you so far. Remember that you can always incorporate the JUDDD cycles into the LC diet if you need to do the road. But for now, enjoy that HWC in your coffee every day.

Glad you're feeling better, D! Let me know how you like that CO in your coffee! I've always been intriqued by the "bulletproof coffee" thing, but have never tried it.

Hang in there. Some people take a few days before their bodies release weight with LC. And since you were just doing some DDs, your calories may be higher overall and it will take your body a little longer to adjust. Focus on the fact that you feel better. Good things are happening.

Amber, definitely keeping in mind that I am starting to feel better. It's such a crazy concept to some who are unfamiliar with the healing capabilities of low carb eating. I think DH is on the fence of truly believing it and not just flying with the notion that it was just coiincidental timing.

Hi Monica!
Today is good so far. Slept very well and woke up easily. Food was good up until last night & I ate 2 fig newtons.. Ooops! ![]() Scale was ok. 232.2 -.4 The right direction is all I care about! TOM still here, plus working on the yeast thing so it'll be slow going for awhile, I think. The fact that I can swallow without feeling pain in my throat and ear anymore, after weeks and weeks.. Priceless! I've had major dry patches of skin on my arms for months that no amount of lotion has been able to eliminate.. last night DH noticed that they're nearly gone. The oregano is doing it's thing and it feels nice to feel a little vindication that I am not going crazy and being neurotic about not feeling myself or unable to rid things that have plagued me for months on end. Progress! ![]() _______________________________________ Goal for March: 227 3/1.... 229.8 UD .. SICK 3/2.... 230.6 DD .. SICK 3/3.... 230.4 UD .. SICK 3/4.... 230.6 DD .. SICK 3/5.... 230.4 UD .. Thanks ladies!
Amber, could not agree more. I think the way I felt last time I did Atkins in May-Oct is the biggest reason why I stuck with it for so long despite the lack of weight loss..only about 12 pounds during that entire time! Hoping that the education about yeast overgrowth is the culprit and I can rid myself of it and the scale will move how it should. |

I think it will. Once the yeast dies off, you will be firmly in ketosis and in the groove. Then hopefully you'll get nice consistent losses and stay healthy.

Sooo weird to lose all concept of appetite again. Didn't even wake up hungry this morning, had to kinda force it to get the fire burnin. I love that I do not feel so lethargic and exhausted. Still not 100% yet, but man, to go from days where I had a very hard time draggin myself out of bed, let alone getting anything accomplished but maybe more napping.. to now at least waking up and feeling like I actually slept is a huge improvement. The brain fog is improving and I don't feel like I'm in a tunnel so much.. PS.. tell me how ridiculous it is that I actually got WAY excited eating chicken salad with REAL mayo.. .. nom-nom-nom... |

Totally not ridiculous. I ate chicken salad for like a week straight a few weeks back. It's fun to get excited over some of the good LC options. Cream (remember to buy it), real mayo, juicy bacon cheeseburgers, etc. So good.
I'm glad your fog is lifting. Mine too. Yesterday I felt a little "flu-ish" because it was day 3, but I feel it lifting today for me. I'm usually good by day 5, so just one more day. |
