Yea get better Dani. You will make clearer decisions and the eating comes with being sick. It was comforting for me when I was down. Just because I couldn't breathe didn't mean I couldn't scarf down a doughnut or two

Too bad I didn't get the memo sooner about "how much harder" it would be once I got old

Went to Portillo's for lunch.. ..all I can say is...those Chicago'ans know how to do it right!

Leaning towards trying a few days of straight lc until Friday and see how my body responds... not sure yet.. but I did grab ALOT of low carb eats while we were at the grocery... this lifestyle is gonna come for me kickin & screamin ain't it?

One great thing about LC is that it will kick the hungries right the hell out. I like that. It's my go-to whenever I feel I've lost control over my eating. I think you'll feel better by the end of the week!

Clarity? I thought I said Clairol!

Yep...I'm pretty much on the verge of feeling like death...and it's taking me! I'm so glad that you are really liking WW..I truly am a major failure when it comes to that plan

Ironically, for the first time ever working a plan outside of strict LC I haven't experienced the ravenous hunger..aside from a few scattered random DD's with it but got through it ok...I am just so so lost..I am totally at a loss for words or an explanation.. I want so much to succeed..I've fought through stuff, worked through so much mentally, and stayed committed..kinda embarrassing.

.....well..I guess it coulda been Clairol..I seem to need it more 'n' more these days!

I kinda agree with Monica, whatever makes you feel the best. It sucks to be trying so hard and not getting the results you deserve. There is a tendency to feel like you are failing, personally, that you aren't 'worthy' of your goals. I'm projecting, of course...that's how I feel. Something you said the other day struck a note with me. Something about having great success and getting really excited and then wham, a stand still. No more results. You said this happened to you with low carb and then with JUDDD. I stalled for several months on JUDDD, too. I'm wondering if this happens to everyone or if the "plateaus" happen more with peri-menopause? I know it sure doesn't seem fair. In the long run, you need to feel good and having results is a big bonus...but I don't need to tell you that, right? I'm preachin' to the choir.

You have "success" written all over you, D! We all need to find our niche in what works--we're all different; otherwise, there would be one plan, and one only! (sure would make things simpler though, right?)

mmm.....Portillo's. Every time I visit my family in Chicago, I have to stop there.

No, you hit it right on the head...personally I am starting to feel like a failure..despite all the effort I have made..such a sad, awful feeling to feel yourself start to give up.. As for figuring out the plateau thing vs. perimeno... I have no clue..I just know that all of the chaos has really done a number on my psyche and self esteem.. I fought hard the last couple of years to find all that and now I feel things slipping...and I do NOT like that feeling! I found such a happy place mentally when I revved up my inner voice and I guess I didn't count on my resolve to waiver so much.. It's been so long since I've felt like myself, I can't wait to feel better..however, I believe that part of that equation also requires some weight loss Keep preachin, keep talkin! I need to hear it.

Thanks Lisa! Not sure I know where my niche is at the moment.. I used to believe I knew it, not so much now.....

I am really going to try and find what works best for me...hoping that I do not strangle someone in the process. cause seriously, my frustration level is at an all time high! I just want some kind of result...like I said before, I'd be happy with 3-4lbs a month as long as it stayed consistently going down and I wasn't losing & relosing the same 4..KWIM?
____________________________________________

Started the morning lc'ing.. we shall see what the next few days bring.
Scale is on the rise due to my 3 high cal days in a row.. 233.2
Granted, not that huge a gain in the grand scheme but it's climing nonetheless!
Hopefully a little bit on lc will see the scale move back down. Praying!

Mentally I am in a low place..like I said above, I am feeling like a failure even though I KNOW that the only way I'd be a failure is if I gave up and quit trying. It still has all done a number on me and I feel like I'm being punished for trying or even wanting better health and to look & feel better.
I'll work it out because I'm stubborn and because the last couple of years have taught me that I deserve it.

This was on my FB feed today: Good food for thought today ♥

I kinda did think I was right about your feelings of failure, I think we can all relate. Last time I tried to LC I lost and gained the same ten pounds for a year! Man did I feel bad! In spite of all the bad news with the scale lately, you still have your head on straight. I think a few days (or more) of LC are a good idea. It will either help you start to lose again, remind you why you love JUDDD, ....or both! Right?

I don't know what Portillos is, but I wish I did!

Definitely fighting to keep my head on straight through all of this.. it seems to be one of the biggest pieces of all of this that has been missing for many years..so I am thankful that I have it now..

I'll tell you what tho, having weird thought's (guilt) about eating today when I *know* today is supposed to be a DD Ate breakfast around 8:30 and I'm still feeling pretty satisfied 3 hrs later. I'm thinking salad for lunch and we'll probably grill some steaks for din-din..

The other things to consider is incorporating lc into JUDDD or not.... wait & see I guess..

So you did start the lc??? You've loved JUDDD so much I'd totally incorporate it in with lc! Plus you've done just lc and you've done just juddd, but you haven't done both together!

Alright, so I didn't go *completely* lc yesterday... I was fine until dinner time..
Ended up having a burrito with the kiddos and then had a reese's pb egg
Came in on calories around 1810..

The scale was exactly the same today as yesterday.. 233.2 Wondering wondering wondering if the 5:2 plan might be something I can do??
At the same time I think maybe just regular lc might be better... I. Don't. Know. !!!! ...apparently, mentally I am still on the fence with lc...I ate half a 100cal bagel with breakfast today...

Ear still ringy.. feels like noise faintly in that ear...annoying. Eye's still ick.. bought some allergy meds yesterday..that I'm afraid to take... I've taken allergy meds exactly twice in my life and BOTH times I ended up with an UTI. ..

DS has been in Canada for part of spring break..he is coming home for a few days..giving up my ticket for Muse so he can go, instead.. I'm just so glad he'll be home for a few days!

Dani~ I take allergy meds from time to time. Are you talking about over the counter zertec or claritin? You must feel miserable to have bought them. Sorry. When my ears are plugged up I take sudaphed. In fact once when my DD's eardrum burst the Doc told her sudaphed could have prevented it. she's had a very bad head cold too.

You know this food thing will works itself out. Eat intuitively, like your DD for awhile. Stay away from crap that makes you feel bad. That is all the advice I have until the the next post.
