Oh Danielle, I am in the same boat. How can I possibly be perimenopausal when I am still 21 (at heart?)

Yes, I believe we ALL feel 21 at heart but our bodies say likewise.

Mine (periods) went away without any fan faire...but I still have hot flashes after three years without a period! That sucks.

Danielle~ I'm not sure, but I think I'm having a physical reaction to the potatoes. I had the worst muscle and joint pain yesterday that is (mostly) gone this morning. It was bad enough to send me to bed after work yesterday. What is it that you experience when you eat night shades? I'm curious because I've never had this happen and yet I've never eaten so many potatoes in so many days, KWIM?

I DVR'd the following too! I haven't had time to watch it. I watched Biggest Loser last night instead. I was working from home while watching so I wasn't 100% focused. I want to FOCUS when I watch The Following! Can't wait!

Hang in there hon. You are doing great. Don't forget you got your new scale this month too. . Give it awhile more you will be sure to see a difference. I don't know enough about JUDDD for myself yet but from what I have read sometimes its s process and sometimes a slow one. Great advice from the ones that do know a little bit more.

We can do this.

I posted on your journal! I am so bummed to hear you're not feeling well with the potatoes. I am relating to it for sure...had those potatoes on Monday and by that night my feet were aching badly.. BOO!

Staying the course over here. JUDDD is a process for sure. I just expected to have the ease of restarting the same way as I first started in Oct.. not the case!

I survived my UD ok. Had a .8 gain. BAck and forth we gooooooo, I'm getting dizzy with all the back & forth!

Considering that there was beer involved I am thankful, actually. I kept my calories in check in regards to food and ended up a tad over on total cals..but it's all good.

Show was fantastic! I could listen to them for days on end. Rough and rowdy crowd it was a blast!! Spent the first part of the show with some girl trying to pick a fight with me because I wouldn't give up my spot to her (we were in the very front) because she felt she was shorter than me. WTH?! She was several people back behind us and she kept asking the people behind me to move..then she bugged me..DH turned around and told her she wasn't going anywhere.. Then she tried getting her boyfriend/husband to do 'something'...he took one look at DH and turned to her and said, nope, not happening. she was livid! She poked and pulled my hair several times, and cussed us all out under her breathe like a petulant child.. OYE.

My ears are still ringing & my voice is hoarse.... Definitely a good show!

DD today. Looking forward to a light day.

Well, she had to mostly deal with DH,...had she had to deal with me she'd have gotten an earful and consequently I may have been OUTSIDE listening to the show instead ... I think that's why DH stepped in and took control of all of it.. I had my fill of rudeness from the Vegas shows with another woman who was old enough to be my mother

Rude people suck, Dani! Once at a Neil Young concert this girl kept standing up in front of us and screaming "I love you Neeeee.....uhllllllllll! I love you baybay...ay...ay...ay! Finally the man next to us tapped her on the shoulder and said "Please sit down, he can't hear you".....we were practically in the 'nose bleed' section as it was....

I'm feeling better today, I don't know what my problem was yesterday, but today I'm having sweet potatoes. I've eaten tomatoes and peppers for years....I think I was just feeling punky.

Yanno, I get the whole thing of being at a show to have a good time, people get excited at seeing their fave artist, etc.. However I do not and will not ever understand what the hell people think they're gonna do when they're mashing me against a fence and there is no one in front of me..where in hell do YOU think you're gonna go?????? The yelling and hollering thing..yeah that would drive me nutso.. and granted, the kinds of shows we go to, not always the most respectable crowd ...however, that doesn't mean you get to act like a barbarian just cuz.. it don't fly with me.

Altho, last night I was like a teenager..I was practically swooning Having Mike Ness literally in front of me less than 4 ft away and then smiled at me... Lord have mercy!

The potato thing... I *wish* it was just me being punky. But seriously, my joints get SO sore it hurts to even breathe sometimes.. I hadn't had pain like that in quite some time...since I had quit peppers and tomatoes.. and then to eat those dang potatoes and hurt again.. to say I'm disappointed is an understatement because I truly believe there is something to the potato thing. I'm gonna try it again in a few rotations after I'm done being sore from the show and see if it happens again.. Praying big time it doesn't!

I just rembered something I didn't share with you guys about the show last night!

So, not sure who all follows MLB at all... but Randy Johnson was there. As in, former pitcher for the AZ Diamondbacks.. As a PHOTOGRAPHER. Not even joking. So weird seeing him there in that capacity, press pass and all.

Amber~I ate the potatoes the day before the show...I had sore joints the same night I ate them.. Right now my feet are still sore on the bottoms from the show but my joints are ok.. Yeesh! I'm a mess!

The thing about punk rock shows...too many people who don't know how to hold their liquor... Sometimes people need to be put in their place (like that nasty *****y girl) and most of the time it's just the nature of the beast.. The pushing and jostling comes with the territory. Freaks me out when my kids tell me that they're in the pitt when they go to shows.. I tell them, probably best not to tell me that you know your crazy neurotic mom.

Had a great DD yesterday.. 446 calories. Woulda been nearly a straight 400 but I ended up having an orange for a snack..so yummy!

It's raining today. Temps are around 61 right now and supposed to reach around 74 today. Perfecto!

I need to dig out recipes I'm bored with my food on my UD's.. I think I'll try and work on that today. Also trying to get through my book I've been reading..have I said how nice it is to be able to read for fun!

Have a great day everyone!

Those Arizona temperatures sound about divine right now, 61 and 74 degrees. I am cold.

Take care if those feet, I hate it when my feet are swollen because of water retention while Tom is in the house. I did read where potatoes can cause inflammtion in some people but I am sure you are aware of that. I haven't eaten a potato in a looonng time and miss fries sometimes.

BTW- I noticed that some JUDDD people weigh daily. Is this something that has to be done or is it a personal choice? It drove me nuts when I was on the Hhcg Diet and I completely abandoned daily weighing because I hated seeing the scale stay the same after doing everything right on plan.

Have a nice Thursday Danielle.

Hi Maggie! Yeah with potatoes being part of the nightshade family it's possible I may have issues.. I don't eat tomatoes or peppers for that very reason.. after doing some reading, potatoes may/may not cause the same issues so I have to experiement and see if I have anymore joint issues when i eat them.... Oh my feet hurt just because I stood for literally over 6+ hours Tuesday night

The weighing thing...there are lots of Juddd'ers who only weigh after a DD.. actually I believe that the plan is written and recommended that way.. I dunno where the daily weighing thing came in with everyone? I just do it because it's what I have always done regardless of what plan I am on. I can too easily justify any feeling and make it "ok"..so I have to own my weigh-ins accordingly. works for some, but not all!

REALLY?!? I didn't know he was a photographer, or even still in Phoenix. I have stopped following baseball much, but boy was I a rabid fan back in the early Dbacks days. I guess photographing a concert is a pretty good gig when you're like, 7 feet tall!

I was floored when I saw him. He walked past me and I'm thinkin...I know that guy I know that guy I know that guy...but from where!!! Then it dawned on me, that's frigging Randy Johnson! He was right in front of us most of the night and then moved onto the stage on the side taking pics from the back.. pretty sweet gig he had I was totally jealous! I met him once before when I was working for Tower Records and he used to come in and order a ton of music when he was playing ball. Nice guy.

Good Morning! ... yes, I said morning. I pretty much just got up.

Spent the entire night into the wee hours up with DD.. she caught the oh-so-not-fun stomach virus that is going around. I didn't get to actually sleep until around 9am this morning..and then got woken up every hour or so by something or other..

Got on the scale around 8am and was up 2.2 pounds.. Not entirely convinced that it's true however, because I had a stellar UD yesterday..so much so, I came in literally 1 (ONE) calorie over my goal #. I drank over a gallon of water to boot so I know I did well for the day. Got on the scale again a little while ago and I was back down to 234.6.. which is only *.6* more than yesterday's weigh in...that's more like it! I guess sleep really does play into ALOT.

Again, find myself grateful and thankful that I was able to take care of DD16 without the worry of having to go anywhere today..work, school, etc.. and was able to actually rest and be here for my kiddo. Thankfully, after all her shenanigans last night/this morning, she is feeling much better this evening.

DD is kinda in limbo today.. for some reason I am super hungry.. again, is this sleep deprivation related? ..I'll end up over my calories for the day but I'm not gonna sweat it, it hasn't been that much.. I won't see much of a loss on the scale but it is what it is, I suppose. It'll all even out eventually.

Hey D just checking in on ya!!! Sorry to hear about DD--- Bobby had that bug last week thankfully it passed quickly!!! Did I tell you I found my nook? good grief I had searched everywhere and then thought I threw it out with the magazines, but I found it! they are allowing the kids to take e-readers to school now that do not have internet access, I was so stokked cause Tony got it free when he bought his tires, and I had like 4 books on there to read! LOL Now I find it and Bobby is stealing it! I keep seeing the ads for Safe Haven and I am thinking I better read that before I see the movie!
