Hey Plane Losing Thank you!
I still can't believe that I can eat so much fat and still lose.
LC has got to be the most delicious way of eating possible.

Today's weight: 186.6
Menu added up to 1184 cals and 14.9 carbs.
B: scrambled eggs, coffee with cream
L: asparagus salad with bacon and blue cheese
D: buttered prawns with wilted baby spinach and wasabi-soy dressing

Finished the spinach and asparagus, so I'll have to stock up on new veggies.
Maybe a bag of mixed salad greens and some zucchini.
I've got a block of parmesan in the fridge - parmesan stuffed roasted zucchini sounds pretty good.

Upcoming mini-challenge: eating out tonight with my sisters.
I'll see if I can google the menu and make a good choice before we go.
Really don't want to undo an ounce of the progress that I've made.

That is the best plan! Walking in and knowing what you can eat- especially if you are GF. I know plenty of place around me that I can eat at, and what specifically.

Jealous of your menu....

Happy Sunday

Yes, GF can be a bit tricky eating at restaurants. I usually google the menu and see what looks good beforehand. I love my daily menu at the moment! Thanks for stopping by, Plane Losing.

Friday's menu: 1186 cals, 28.79 carbs (uh-oh...)
Scrambled eggs with CO, chicken thigh, coleslaw, grilled fish and prawns, green salad, 1 square of 85% chocolate.

Saturday's menu: 1578 cals and 17.53 carbs
3 egg omelette with gouda and cumin, biltong, T-bone steak with egg and green salad.

If not a gain, then expecting a stall

Overate this past weekend
All low carb goodies - but way too much.
Certainly not until I was just full... Blegh.
Also had too many diet sodas. I think the sweeteners stall me.
Tomorrow is weigh day, so will be strict again today!

Sunday's menu: 1454 cals and 20.62 carbs
Eating wasn't really structured, I had leftover steak and salad for breakfast, snacked on dry wors and biltong, then for dinner DBF bbqed steak, chicken and mutton sausage.

Desperate for some leafy greens!
Will go veggie shopping after work.

Tried on a blouse that used to gape between buttons - it fits perfectly now.
Off to work.

Gah!! I just cracked open a coconut, wanted to grate the flesh and freeze it for future use... And I mindlessly guzzled a cup of ice cold super sweet coconut water
A bit late to think about the carb count now...

People seem to be noticing a change...
On Friday my sister said that my tummy is flatter.
Sunday DBF's boys said that I've lost a lot of weight real quick and that I'm looking good. Awwww.
Today my boss mentioned that I'm slimmer.

Keep trucking...

Finally back to my pre-weekend weight of 186.6 - and the next weekend is almost here!
I actually think the problem is not so much "weekend" than "eating out".
The problem is that I'm going out with the girls tonight... What to eat that doens't have a ton of hidden carbs?! Even steak and salad isn't safe.

Yesterday's food: 695 cals (I don't think this calculation is right) and 11.39 carbs.
I ate the two quiches left over from the day before. Plus coffee, water, tea.

Good morning!

Weight today is 186.1
I feel all bloaty and flubbery

Yesterday's munchies totaled 1245 cals and 10.8 carbs.
B: bacon bits and egg scramble, coffee
L: chorizo, coffee
S: almonds
D: sushi! Tuna and salmon sashimi, sprite zero, coffee

The good: It was delicious and low carbs
The bad: Too much coffee, and a soda (equals not enough water)
The ugly: Nothing remotely green and leafy...

Meh, I'm sick. Took half day off from work yesterday and just slept for most of the day. Had chicken soup. Gained a bit, I think. Will get well first and then focus on weighing again.

185.2 again.
Think I might have beaten this horrible flu, feel much better today.

Yesterday's food was two eggs, some almonds and macadamias, chicken soup, and fat bombs. 1158 cals and 8.7 carbs.

Still tired from being sick, will take it easy.
Today will be a bacon and egg kind of day.

This morning the scale said 183.9

Bacon and egg days always seem to get things moving again.
Yesterday's food was 250g bacon bits and 6 HB eggs spread out over the day. I snacked on macadamia nuts and celery. Also had a fat bomb and lots of coffee.
1222 cals and 14.7 carbs

I need to focus on drinking more water (less coffee!)
Need to focus on leafy green munchies too...
Should probably get a good multivitamin supplement.

I have to figure out my ideal protein to fat ratio.
I've probably been eating way too much protein.

Figuring it out as I go along

B: eggs and coffee
L: stuffed green pepper with sausage and parmesan
D: chicken and celery soup
S: macadamia nuts, last fat bomb

That is all.

Meh, it's Monday.
Definitely overate during the weekend (agaaaaiiiiin) so will see what the damage is tomorrow.

Did not track my meals properly, but yesterday's food was something like this:
B: coffee, leftover steak
L: chicken leg, coke zero
D: salami, pastrami, cucumber, tomato, cheddar, olives
S: pork rinds

We had a bbq on Saturday and I devoured everything in sight.
Steak, chicken, lamb chops... Cucumber salad.
This overeating at DBF's place has got to stop!!
Why am I fine during the week, but when I'm not at home I pig out?

Oink.

Anyhoooo... I think I might still be on track to reach my 30 November goal. Hup hup!

B: 3 eggs
L: celery and cottage cheese
D: two burger patties with 50g brie and 100g portabella mushrooms
S: almonds, 85% chocolate, coke zero, coffee, macadamias, fat bomb

I couldn't stop stuffing my face.

At least 15 mins of exercise tonight
No chocolate

Still have to lose 2.8 lbs to reach November goal...

183... Dun dun duuuun!

Ate on plan yesterday - but here's the thing - ate when I was not really hugry. Also did not exercise.

B: 2 HB eggs with tsp of mayo
L: burger patty with salad greens
D: burger patty with portabello mushrooms and goat's cheese. Yum.
S: 10g almonds, fat bomb, 30g pork crackling
1196 cals and 12.77 carbs.
This should be low enough to lose? Right?

Had lots of water. Only 1 coffee.
I do not think I really needed the fat bomb or the crackling.

New day.

181.5 Wow.

Food yesterday was 1202 cals and I couldn't enter the carbs correctly.
I made a chicken pot pie for my grandparents for dinner (all LC veggies and I didn't eat the crust). Calculator said 71.6 carbs if I had potato and crust.

B: coffee, fat bomb
L: grilled chicken, salad greens, cherry tomato, portobello with parmesan
D: chicken pie
S: almonds

I REFUSE to gain again this weekend (like every other weekend so far, ahahaha)
I shall not overeat.
I shall control portion sizes.
I shall eat only when hungry.
No soda.
No sneaky carbs in sauces and bastings and whatnot.

Wish me luck...

Yikes!
It's been a pretty food-centric weekend after all...

Spent the weekend with DBF and co
Friday's supper was boerewors and tomato salad with olives.
Saturday we went out for breakfast. We had cold meats for lunch. That evening I made mozarella stuffed mini meatloaves and fresh tomato sauce (soooo yum)
Sunday we had potluck bbq at church. Also baked a carrot-and-date cake with cream cheese icing and pecans for the men in my life.
The smell of it baking was heavenly - sweet and cinnamon spicy - smells like home.

I did not refuse soda like I said I would.
Portion control was not stellar.
Win some, lose some. I am not deterred.
I'll just wait and see what the scale says tomorrow.

B: bacon and eggs
L: asparagus with emmental cheese and bacon
D: grilled chicken thigh with cream cheese mashed cauli

Decided to drag my sorry butt back here.
Gran is still in hospital.
I am still tired.

182.4 - I haven't been measuring or tracking anything.

I'll rethink my short term goals and update when I've figured it out.
I haven't planned my food for today.

180.8 That... That can't be correct.

Gran's been discharged from hospital at last. I'm taking them a nourishing hot stew tonight after work. The hard work towards recovery is only starting now. Such a tough little old lady at 84!

Still not very organised with regard to food and menu planning etc.
This morning I shot out of bed at 07:00 (a few "snoozes" too many) - stuffed sausage and eggs in a muffin pan into my oven - and barreled out the front door at 07:30 with a tupperware full of eggy cups.

I guess that means today's menu consists of egg-and-sausage for breakfast and lunch, then beef shin stew for supper with the grandparents.

The slow cooker stew consists of beef shin on marrow bones, canned cherry tomatoes, shredded cabbage, cauliflower and carrots (I'll pick those out of my plate) cooked in beef stock. I'll thicken the sauce with zantham gum.

I'm still not quite back to tracking what I put in my mouth throughout the day.
Yesterday's food was biltong throughout the day, steamed prawns, and broccoli cheese soup. I cooked the broccoli in beef stock and then whizzed it in my food processor with a wicked amount of cream cheese and cottage cheese. Yum!

Will try to get more water at the office.
Wish me luck
