Weight this morning same as yesterday.
Had chicken for supper and 3 cubes of sweet potato (not helping).
Probably because I also had chocolate. At least 88% dark...
Still feel icky

This morning weighed in at 196.7, which means 2.2lbs lost.
When I say lost, I actually mean lost again
Had a good eating day yesterday, and today will be too.
Vacation was wonderful but it was difficult to plan and control meals.

Port-louis, everything in moderation, hehe. I suppose life without little cheats would be very boring.

Weight this morning is 195.4
Happy about every little loss.
Didn't really plan my food today, had 2 eggs for breakfast.
I'll have to see what I can scavenge for lunch
Supper with DBF tonight, winging it.

Weight this morning 193.5 (1.6lbs lost since Friday).
Since I indulged in chocolate mousse over the weekend, I am happy with this.
Expected to wake up to a gain.
Had one egg for breakfast, and will try to be very strict for the rest of the day.

Vacation made me slack on food journalling
Need to fooooocus!

Today's food:
1 egg, 3 rashers of pork rib, half an avocado, 60 grams steak

Managed 10 minutes on my exercise bike - I am pathetically unfit. Ugh.

I couldn't weigh today
I might be getting a bit obsessed!

Yesterday's food was a weird combo of scrambled eggs with steak strips and grated aubergine. Don't think I'll do that again... Had half of the concoction for breakfast and half for lunch. Dinner was stirfy.
This morning had leftover stirfry for breakfast (but tried to pick around the carrots and pineapple).

Not sure when I'll be able to weigh again

Couldn't weigh again this morning... Oh, the terrible suspense!
Hopefully tomorrow morning so that I can get a grip again.
I think seeing the daily numbers help keep me motivated and steer me in the right direction.

I have decided to start (trying) to keep track of calories.
This is a new thing for me. A bit daunting but I think it will help.

I just wish someone would notice I've lost about 20lbs
It feels like a lot of progress but it seems to be undetectable.

192.5, a small loss.
Feel a little bit discouraged, as far as I know I've been eating really well.

Yesterday's food:
835 cals
26.9 carbs
B: bacon and cheese omelette
L: chicken breast with salad
D: basil pesto chicken thigh

It takes about 30 lbs on my body for people to notice. Then everyone notices. I bet your body is just about at the point where people will notice! It really is lots of progress!

Have you bought any smaller clothes yet? That might trigger some attention!

Hi Muffles Thanks for stopping by.

I really needed the encouragement and motivation.
Setting my sights on the next 10lbs, and I've realised something... I'm doing this only for myself. It doesn't matter if anyone else notices
I still have smaller sized clothes (various sizes) in my closet that I didn't throw out. Pretty sure I'm not the only one - gradually had to buy bigger clothes as I gained, but didn't want to get rid of the smaller stuff with the hopes of fitting in them again someday.

Yesterday's food could have been better. I need to munch more green leafy veg.
1536 cals and 12.38 carbs.
B: coffee and sausage
L: coffee and rump steak
D: chicken and creamed spinach

At work yesterday our boss bought every staff member a magnum mini ice cream. Temptation! Sabotage! Run for the hills!
I managed to decline. Mine is still in the staff kitchen freezer.

Restful Sunday morning.

Yesterday's food totalled 1290 cals and 16.1 carbs.
B: scrambled egg and bacon
L: cheese slice
D: "lasagna" with tomato slices

When I don't weigh, I have no clue whether I'm losing or gaining.
It's like my brain can't hear what my body is saying. Bleh.

Off to church!

Allright... Not getting discouraged! Smile and wave
Today's mini goals: less coffee, NO milk, more water water water.
Will weigh in tomorrow morning and take it from there!

Weighed in at 191.2 this morning.
Yay

This is the weight where I decided to go to the doctor for the first time because I was worried about my rapid weight gain. At that stage I was steadily gaining more than two pounds a month and I panicked. Doc diagnosed me with PCOS (blegh) and insulin resistance, and put me on metformin and hormones.
So glad I've moved on to better things! You can't medicate poor eating habits...

Yesterday's food totaled 1200 cals and 11.3 carbs.
I had fried eggs, coffee with cream (instead of my normal milk - yum), sausage, salad with blue cheese and a chicken breast. Snacked on 8 almonds (happy dance for managing better almond portion control!)
They're addictive little suckers...

Happy Tuesday to everyone reading

Realised yesterday...
I AM NO LONGER OBESE!
According to my BMI I am now (admittedly severely) overweight.
Hehe, not something I thought I would be proud of.
Didn't weigh this morning.

Yesterday's food was okay:
B: scrambled eggs
L: giant green salad with tomato, egg and cheese
D: steak, coleslaw and olives
Lots of coffee.
24.95 carbs and 928 cals

Hi Muffles Thank you!
How are things with you? We'll take it one day at a time, and before you know it, you've reached your next goal!

Weight this morning is 189.2
Thursday's food:
B: shrimp omelet
L: chicken and asparagus
D: rump steak with blue cheese
S: almonds

Totally amazed by my newly-found almond portion control.

Happy Friday!

Things are ok with me, I have had 3 great weight loss weeks and this week it's slowed down...However, someone finally noticed my weightloss yesterday! And I am wearing jeans 2 sizes smaller!
Still obese but looking forward to being overweight!

KUTGW Muffles! That's really awesome.
It's always nice when someone notices and acknowledges.
You've lost about 10kg? That's really great

I ate a billion calories yesterday... Oh my.
2027 calories and 8.5 carbs
Beef ribs, 8 almonds, sausage
Lots and lots of fat.

Did not weigh today - I usually don't weigh over weekends.
So I'll have to wait and see what next week brings!

Saturday was another day of no calorie counting with DBF.
This will probably come back to bite me in the butt on Monday morning when I step on the scale

Yesterday's food:
B: cheese grillers, scrambled eggs, mushrooms
L: cheese, burger patty
D: pulled chicken with leek, chilli and chives

I used a portion of chicken that I set aside while making a chicken and veggie pie for DBF and his boys. I even decorated it with little dough roses and leaves and a braided border. They devoured the whole thing.
Is it a bad thing when feeding people makes me feel happy?

Hope the scale is kind to you!

It's a nurturing thing to feel happy when you feed people. I totally feel that too. I love playing around with food , making it pretty and yummy. Now I am focusing on learning healthy (less sugar/flour) recipes that still taste amazing for the family. I have been flicking through all my christmas magazines and books this weekend, trying to decide what amazing treats to make and what to have on our xmas day menu.

What a hectic morning... Never got near the scale.

I totally agree with you about the nurturing aspect, Muffles.
I think I should take a hint from what you're doing and focus on preparing healthy eats for the family as well. Funny how I make them food that I wouldn't even touch without a second thought. Huge servings of mac and cheese, deep fried monstrosities and tons of sugar.
Food for thought, I suppose.

Yesterday's food totaled 1453 cals and 18.97 carbs.
I had sausage, avocado and salmon, HB egg, gouda cheese and biltong.
Also had 4 mugs of coffee.
Looking back, might have overdone it on the sodium.

Weight this morning 189.4 - I can deal with that

Food yesterday was
B: coffee, salmon
L: chorizo, goat's cheese and baby spinach (oh yum)
D: turkey
S: almonds, 1 square 85% chocolate, brie cheese
It all adds up to 1390 cals and 11.62 carbs.

I am close enough to tomorrow's target to be satisfied with my progress thus far.

Last night I got all adventurous in the kitchen and baked some coconut seed muffins. Hope they don't mess with me! Having them for breakfast and lunch today.

Oh my word, I ate those muffins and my brain insists that I've cheated!
Will have to wait and see if my body agrees with my brain.

The ingredients were:
100g Omega seed mix
40g dessicated coconut
2 eggs
1tsp baking powder
Half tsp xantham gum
1tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
2ml sweetener

It made 5 mini muffins and my calculator added up to 17.62 carbs for the batch, and 925.8 cals. This was breakfast, snack and lunch.
Will have a very low carb dinner and try to keep cals low.

Don't panic!

188.5! Mwhahahahahaha! GOOOAAAALLL! (Mini-goal for October, at least)

Apparently my little muffin experiment didn't affect me as much as my brain would have had me believe.

In addition to the muffin overload yesterday, I had bacon and eggs for dinner.
Total stats added up to 1202 cals and 22.54 carbs, which is a bit high.
I've decided to make today a bacon-and-egg kind of day.

Looking back on October: 8.6 lbs lost.

Yay! Thanks Muffles! What's new on your front?

This morning the scale said 187.2
Bacon and egg day was kind to me.

Yesterday's grub: 1224 cals and 14.42 carbs
B: bacon and eggs
L: chorizo, egg and baby spinach salad with mayo
D: bacon and brie eggy ramekin bake. Will make this again!
S: 10g almonds, 2 coffee, 1 rooibos tea

Need to get back on my bike again tonight, even if it is only for 15 minutes.
Spring/summer rains also means my garden resembles a jungle at the moment, I need to jump in and get busy.
