True confession: we went to DeSoto Caverns. They re famous for their fudge. I bought peanut butter and ate two pieces. Then we stopped at a steak place and I had half a roll. I have no regrets.

I regret that I love these types of things so much and yet they don't love me back.

I should know better than to eat out. Not only did I eat the roll, but I always have sodium bloat after eating anything in a restaurant. My ankles are still puffy. Blah.

Today should be busy busy. That is always a good thing. And I'm working late Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I need to make some soup.

Wah! I was fine yesterday - except a few spoons of peanut butter and almond butter. Otherwise, coffee with hwc and an omelet for dinner. And a few ounces of mozzarella. The problem this time of year is that I don't eat until night.

I need to make some food to take to work, but I'm not hungry while I'm there. I didn't drink enough yesterday gain. Trying to be better about that.

You are doing really well so don't beat yourself up. Look at all the weight you lost! Congratulations! You should try eating a bit more so you don't get cravings. If you are not hungry, then you won't cheat.

Thanks so much for the support. I'm so busy at work these days that I don't have time to eat, and so stressed that I can't see straight. Ah, Christmas in retail.

I made the decision last night to eat off plan. It was stupid, and I knew it at the time, but I did it anyway. I think I've been so worried about thanksgiving that I gave into the pressure early. Or just had a moment, and even in the moment I was aware that I would regret it later.

So I weighed this morning and I'm up again. Starting over each day. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

I am up to 229. I am so distraught. I don't feel like I'm eating off plan or too much. I'm going to not think about it this week, as it is my insane week at work, but I believe next Monday I may revisit induction for 2 weeks. Back to some fundamentals, cut out nuts (I may be overly reliant) and just eat clean.

I'm going to eat off-plan today (thanksgiving). I will suffer tomorrow, but then recover over the weekend and start fresh Monday with induction.

Started induction this morning. I was up 6 pounds from my low. I'm going to do pretty strict induction for 2 weeks. I can't believe how far from strict induction I had waived.

Back under 230.

Ate eggs and bacon yesterday, plus coffee and dinner was hamburger steak, sautéed mushrooms and broccoli. Amazing how yummy basic eating is.

227.

I so love how induction works.

Yesterday I cooked chicken thighs in the crockpot, so I'd have a few meal's worth. I forgot to put them in the fridge last night. I hate when I do stuff like that. I am too distracted, I know.

Maybe I'll try again today. Grr.

227 again. Not gonna lie, a bit disappointed. However, I'm going to do this for two weeks - until H's birthday on December 15. Then I will start adding back. Keeping it simple really is so much easier.

But even as I am disappointed, I am also really glad I didn't fall apart and go on a gaining binge. It would have been so easy to stop weighing, stop posting, stop trying. I did tht for a few days and stopped myself. Last time I lost weight, I stopped weighing and next time I checked I was back up over my original start weight. So I will be happy I didn't have a holiday come-apart.

Closer, closer. Getting there.

My lifestyle this time of year is so hard. Yesterday, I was up at 5, ate bacon and eggs for breakfast, was supposed to get deviled eggs for lunch but they were out s I had chicken salad instead, and then didn't get home from work until 8. Had a salad of romaine/chicken/clue cheese then. Fell into bed at 9:50, up at 4:45 with terrible insomnia. I will work from about 7 this morning until 9 tonight. Ah, the joys of Christmas and retail. This is why last year we ate so much fast food and I gained 17 pounds in 2 months. I need to figure out what I can take with me to eat, but the cupboard is bare... I think I'll go boil some eggs. Grocery store Sunday morning - I just have to survive today and tomorrow!

Woo hoo!

Yesterday was such a kick-ass day, and only partly in a good way. I got to work at 8, busy-little-beavered myself until 10, and when the door opened at 10 I did not stop going until 7:30. Except that I walked to the piggly wiggly at 4:30 and bought ribs (no sauce) and deviled eggs and salad makings for lunch today. I need more protein so I will take a few hard boiled eggs, too. Fell into bed at 9 and slept until 5:30 - now up and at'em and going to work at 7. Exhausted.

My life would be so much better if I had a hot tub. I think one of the reasons I want to lose weight is so I can soak in a hot bath after a day like yesterday.

Ermagerd I am so happy.

Last night I was so nervous after the Alabama game (and during it) that I wanted to eat the world. The whole wide world. I didn't. Instead idrank a bunch of water with mio and went to bed with a half a Xanax so I'd sleep all night - and it worked!

Today will be a shorter work day because I just can't handle it otherwise.

Last night my husband cooked a roast and I had that and broccoli. I think for the next two weeks I'm going to keep on keeping it simple - eggs and bacon for breakfast, maybe lunch of I have time (I usually don't) and then a meat and veggie for dinner. Best part is the butter I put on my veggies. Yum yum.

Roll Tide. How much can I lose in 37 days before the national championship game?

Wow wow wow

Induction is amazing - I'm not hungry, I can tell I am in ketosis, and 223 is one of my magic numbers - that's what I weighed at the end of the biggest loser competition in 2009. Of course I had gained all of that back (plus an extra 13 pounds) so now I feel like I'm in fresh weight-loss territory from here on.

Next magic number is 221. That will mean a 54 pound loss - which is how much my son weighs.

Food yesterday: eggs and bacon for breakfast, coffee and cream during the day, leftover pot roast and broccoli for dinner. I have salad and dressing at work and haven't used it yet, but that because I haven't taken a protein to have with a meal. I need to make more chicken to take.

Wow. Two twenty-three. I am over the top.

Yesterday was an egg day - two eggs and bacon for breakfast, salad with blue cheese and deviled eggs for lunch, more deviled eggs as a snack and when I got home I was too tired to do anything but sauté some mushrooms and scramble some eggs with them. And some cheddar. It was the first cheese I've had in 8 days.

Today is painting with Santa. I will be utterly exhausted, and have pre-requested my husband make me a hamburger steak and broccoli for dinner. I'm about to make my morning breakfast - lunch will be tricky.

You are doing really really well! Congratulations on the awesome weight loss! Your eating is really great too! And even better since you are in the midst of a super busy retail season with all kinds of tempations to cheat. You are a great planner -- planning meals ahead makes sense to stay on track!

Thanks! Last year I didn't plan and instead gained 17 pounds in November and December. It was terrible! We get so busy and we would order pizza or go for drive-through. This year my entire staff is doing better. Today I got deli chicken salad - not great, but so much better than fast food.

I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off and part of tht will be to go to the grocery store. I need my stuff!

I am also way excited because my netrition order is on its way! So many goodies are winging my way! Sugar free egg nog Torani! Woo!

Over the moon!

And apparently I'm starting my period, so that's fun.

I am so exhausted. It's bad when you are looking forward to Sunday so you can sleep in, and it's only Wednesday.

Food yesterday: coffe, but no other breakfast (best of intentions but got busy decorating for a Santa event). Lunch was deli chicken salad, dinner was hamburger steak and Brussels sprouts. Grocery store today to replenish supplies.

Yay! Isn't Netrition fabulous? I love when a Netrition package arrives -- it's like a low carb Christmas every time! TOM is rough on Atkins I'm finding -- mine came on Monday and I felt like I was hit by a Mac truck. Hope you are feeling better!

I know! I've got so many fun things ordered - lots of flavored syrups, sweeteners I can't find locally so I can try some recipes over the holidays, sugar-free margarita mix, cherry fruit spread (my favorite), coconut butter... Love it! Really appreciative that they exist.

Well, boo. Last night was hectic, and I picked up some packaged pre-cooked beef. I was all bloaty last night already, and I can tell this was not my best plan. I thought it might be good for when I needed something I could grab-and-go, but clearly not. I am putting chicken thighs in the crock pot today so I can have that the rest of the week and weekend.

I also had 4 ounces of Camembert cheese. I've stayed away from cheese and clearly need to. But oh my was it good!

Dreamt about work all night, stress stress stress. That can't be good for my cortisol levels.

I am just puffy everywhere. My poor eyes. I love it when customers tell me how tired I look. Yay.

Still up, WMD yesterday's lunch didn't help. Also I need that Camembert to be gone out of my house.

I'm so tired these days, but I realized that if I go to bed at 9 and get up at 5, I'm actually getting more sleep now than I usually do. Of course the Xanax helps.

Nice moment yesterday: a few months ago a customer asked me advice about opening a business. I'm always happy to help with that, since plenty of people helped me. She wants to open a Zumba studio, and we started talking about a fitness business I want to open. (more later on this.) I told her how much I ha lost, how much I had to go and she was incredulous. I told her what I weigh and she was stunned. Said I didn't look it at all. That felt good! I feel like such a mushy mush sometimes, but that was nice to hear.

So yesterday we ordered food in. That isn't happening again. I have chicken thighs cooked in the crockpot and romain lettuce to take to work. Salad that isn't covered in crap for lunch. That's what we had yesterday and it was so damn good that I ate it.

Oh, and netrition how I love you! It was all I could do to not rip open every package and sample what i got! Cherry preserves! I bought two different packs of yes to cookies and damn they look good. Saving them for closer to Christmas though.

Okay, time to get the day started. I have so much work to do before the store opens. Looooooong day ahead.

You are doing really well -- good for you for planning and getting those chicken thighs in the crockpot. I love the compliments you got from the customer -- that time of positive reinforcement is good for the soul. You have been working so hard at your job and on the low carb plan -- so you deserve some great feedback!

You also deserved a little Camembert -- that is nice little treat. And it is low carb!

Hmmm. Stress and I are not friends. Also, last night's sleep could best be described as "fitful". A series of one-hour naps. I am not pleased. I really can't sleep without Xanax anymore.

Food yesterday was hard. Breakfast was fine but finding time for lunch was impossible. I ate some of my chicken because I knew I was getting hungry, a d when I got home I had cucumbers and blue cheese dressing so I could take my vitamins.

Today is going to be insane. I have so much work to do, and I'm just so tired.

Ugh, I am so sorry about this -- it must be really rough working in retail over the holidays when you are already exhausted. Sending good vibes your way.
