Not being bad - nothing off plan - but nothing in moderation, either. I feel bloaty and fat and now I'm working on cutting back. Will weigh in a few days. I know I've been overheating, so I don't need the number just yet.

Product review: Dixie diner's golden vanilla almond muffins are like the shortcake for strawberry shortcake. I've indulged in one for breakfast and one for dessert daily since Christmas. I will have these on hand for summer berry season, for sure, but I don't need to have them around regularly.

Also, the nature's hollow sugar free preserves are the best thing ever. They taste like cheesecake topping.

Yep, not exactly off plan, but not entirely on plan, either.

I'm really struggling right now. Hopefully will get it back under control. Right now I have no control.

New year. New day. New start. I'm not happy with how I'm not able to keep myself under control. After nearly two years, it shouldn't be this hard.

I feel terrible - I know it is the food.

While I don't wish to be a "resolutionist", I am using the New Year as a motivation for several things, both personally and professionally. Getting back on track is high on the list.

You are not alone in that boat! The bold above sums it up.

Yesterday was better but not great. I did really well all day until we had black-eyed peas, turnip greens and ham for dinner, and I ate a giant slab of corn bread with it.

Today is another chance at better.

Yesterday I had a good day. I did indulge in some Atkins chocolate, but otherwise was on-plan all day long. And it was the last of the Atkins chocolate from my Christmas stocking, so that will help. I woke this morning with the yuck mouth feeling. Getting there.

Next thing I want is to make a giant cheesecake, so that I have a good high-fat sweet treat to enjoy while I work my way back onto plan.

It is so cold here - the high will be below freezing - and I think I may make some soup for dinner. That will be good!

You are doing great getting back on plan, Julia. It is really hard after the holidays! Tony and I let ourselves have a few cheat days when we got home from Maine. We had really good pizza one day and I am trying to push those thoughts out of my mind. As of yesterday, we are not firmly back on low carb. It ain't easy sister but we can do it!

Each day I'm doing better than the day before. Yesterday I ate too much, but I was hungry and it was all on-plan. I made a cheesecake so I could have something easy to get to when hungry. I'm volunteering at an event all day today and I have no idea what to expect, food-wise. I'm packing some macadamia nuts in my bag, just in case!

Yesterday I worked at a bowl game - and was really, really happy that I was able to stay on plan. I took a baggie of macadamia nuts and that saved me! There was nothing there I could eat, except one naked hot dog.

For dinner, we went to a friend's restaurant and had a hamburger without the bun and a salad. Cheesecake for dessert. It's nice to be back on plan.

We are getting the same arctic weather everyone else is getting - it is going to be 6 tomorrow. That is not warm! And Henry starts school Tuesday. And then - FINALLY - I can get back in my routine!

Well, another bad day yesterday. Not sure what my deal is. Today school is finally starting back so maybe hopefully I can finally get my act together. I don't do well without routine.

Coming back with my tail between my legs. I'm back on track, but WOW did I go off the rails for a while there. I wasn't even eating THAT far off-plan, but I quickly put the pounds back on. I'm back down to 205, from a high of 210, but eating my induction level and NO NUTS. No ifs, ands or buts. Nuts and I have to stay far far away from each other.

I am hoping that I will get these last five pounds off quickly. My two-year anniversary on low carb is Saturday.

I am so disappointed in my behavior since Christmas. I just derail my own achievements. Inexcusable.

It is so cold and today we got zapped with an un forecasted ice storm. All I want to do is grab the jar of peanut butter and a spoon...

Iced in and did okay - didn't succumb to major temptations. I did make a sf jello and cream cheese concoction to snack on as I needed something. It's pretty good - I used lime.

Tomorrow it will be above freezing, and Saturday 61!!! Hopefully I can go for a run. In 2 weeks I'm running a half marathon and I am so not ready. Winter isn't the time to train for me.

Ate a banana with peanut butter. I'd say about 35 carbs. Not a good choice (but it was so delicious).

Back at it tomorrow.

Banana with peanut butter really isn't bad and 35 carbs is not that much. You could have done much worse and at least you ate healthy natural food.

Well apparently my body disagreed - I was up almost 2 pounds this morning! What?????!!!????

Ready for a return to normal - we are out of school again today. Get through the weekend and start fresh Monday. And no ice storms next week, I hope!

Well, crap. Chinese New Year and I ate like a horse. (Sorry. Couldn't resist.) Went off the rails spectacularly but I am recommitted today.

Two years ago today I started my low-carb journey. I weigh 70 pounds less than I did then. I was as low as 82 pounds less, amd still need to get back to that. Hopefully I will find that motivation again, amd quickly.

Well now it is time to get back on the horse (sorry couldn't resist) and you have already done that. You are back and recommitted and that's a good thing!

I went for a 50-minute walk-run this morning. It was harder than last week, and next week I'm walking/jogging a half marathon. I may die.

Plus side: my post-workout meal was bacon and eggs fried over-easy in bacon grease. Now to go get ready for the day...

We are in a winter wonderland - six inches of snow in my yard! But it will be 40 today and bright sunshine means it won't last. I am fine with that!

Made something yummy yesterday. Very filling! Sautéed onions and mushrooms, the browned a pound of sausage and a pound of ground beef - crumbling it up good. Added two blocks of cream cheese to this. Tasted like beef stroganoff. Could have used a bit more mushroom flavor - next time I will add a teaspoon of mushroom base to the mix, and a bit of pepper, too. I served it with some sour cream, which was luscious. I think tonight I may pick up a zucchini to Zoodle and eat with leftovers. I've never made caulirice, as I'm not a huge cauliflower fan, but this might be the perfect way to use it. I always like stroganoff better over rice than noodles.

Now I think I shall make bacon and eggs for breakfast. Maybe a faux Danish (2 ounces cream cheese melted, one egg scrambled, sweetener to taste - microwaved for a minute, served with sugar free jam and). It's a comfort-food kind of climate.

While we were playing in the snow yesterday, I slipped and started to slide down the hill in our back yard. This morning the backs of my thighs hurt! Like ouchy ouchy!

But school is back and I am so so so happy to send my sweet boy back to school. He just woke up and sleepily told me Happy Valentines Day. I love him so.

And Happy Valentines Day to y'all! I love my LCF!
