Ladies, I gotta say this. Don't underestimate the stall that TOM can cause! Because now that my TOM is done done (along w/ the havoc it wreaked on week 3), my fourth week is back on track!

pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale)
12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load)
12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load)
12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.5 from pre-load)

Wonderful!!! Fantastic that you are doing so well!!!

You are avg .50 lb per day which is 3.5 lbs per week.

I am still considering the possibility of doing this, my weight has stabilized for some reason. I imagine it is the weight training, but I really wasn't expecting it to not budge. I am giving myself another week for grins. I am loving fasting every day.

Your support means everything. I'm getting so close to goal, I'm torn between JUDDDing the rest off and doing one more round (21 days, that is ALL) to get into the 130's. I never dreamed that was even possible.

I am very interested in doing this and will be thinking seriously. I guess you really don't work out during the period you are on P2? Is this true?

I love PHD and know that taking out the fat is going to be a huge deal for me, so I imagine 21 days is all I could handle. I don't know how you keep going and going?

Wait, Sunday, I keep thinking you have done HCG before. My I am getting senile.

You shouldn't do any working out on P2 that you weren't already doing. If you've been working out heavily, I'm not the one to answer, as I'm just a walker who does some therabands right now. Ask in the main HCG forum.

You can do anything for 21 days. For me, the first week the first round was very hard. Coming from JUDDD is not something I recommend. Eat "normally" for a while first.

Have you read my journal where I've given my fat loss? Almost EVERYTHING I've lost on HCG has been fat. Truly amazing. Once the HCG kicks in, the hunger is as manageable as on any diet.

And btw, I eat plenty of fat once in P4 (and even the end of P3). But I think these fat fasts are too extreme. Anything that extreme, I tend to not believe in.

I will have to check out PHD when I have time.

I have but it was 60 days in 08? I can't recall doing anything but the eliptical and walks. I also don't really know if I want to pay the doctor for this or if I should try Hhcg. I have issues with rx hcg.

Yeah, I just have so many questions about homeopathic hcg and fat loss. I've posted in the regular forum, but most are HHGC so they understandably don't want to question it.

I'll try to find the study I found comparing placebo plus VLCD with RXHCG and VLCD. It had all the statistics and was done by doctors in Italy. Both had the same weight loss. The big difference was fat loss. I know people have hunger suppression on the HHCG, but there are a lot of other ingredients in there that could be doing that. And the other thing is that HHCG actually goes AGAINST homeopathic principles (as in "like cures like") because you're not giving the opposite of the cure (as with most homeo, like giving something that in larger amounts causes a rash, in order to cure a rash). You're doing the opposite - giving the actual cure, but in a teency tiny barely detectable amount. One doc said there was another name for that kind of medicinal principal, but it wasn't homeopathic. Started with an "o."

Anyway, it sure needs to be studied. Because people do lose on it, clearly.

I just need empirical evidence that they're losing fat before I'd do it. I worry they're just living on 500 calories and having some other kind of appetite suppression.

But hey... whatever works for others is fine by me. Clearly people have lost TONs OF WEIGHT.

Just my own issue, I guess. Hope it's okay to express here.

No, I completely understand because it is very important if you are going to starve yourself or VLC, that you are not shedding anything but fat and especially the fat that is locked up for decades and doesn't want to leave.

My son-n-law who is 33 did the homeopathic IM pellets and had great success. He also worked out at the gym while doing it. But, he really wasn't over weight so much (10 lbs), just needed to pass a very rigid physical for his occupation. My daughter lost well, but because of her other health issues didn't finish the round. She suffers with migraines that put her under for a day. Not sure if it was the change in diet or hormones? She was told by her doctor that women have lots of hormonal migraines and especially when it is near TOM. She is now doing WW at approx. 900 to 1200 cals and losing well, without the hhcg.

I woke up to a good loss after an UD, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this means that I may be breaking the stall. Will weigh again in the morn to confirm.

I really enjoy watching your journey. I feel your intense passion for this and admire that you are so steadfast with your protocol.

One more thought, if homeopathic hcg isn't working similar to RX, it sure does trigger the ovaries that something is legit, because my daughter and a few others who have done the IM, have had TOM show up early shortly after beginning the protocol or experienced other signs (morning sickness) that were similar to false pregnancy.

I'm thinking I may toss my last injection (today's) and make yesterday my LDW. It's getting hard (hunger), and I seem to be back to just bouncing around the same weight! But I don't like the slightly higher LDW. Then again, maybe tomorrow I'd see a whoosh (if I inject today). I mean what's one more day of VLCD. What to do!

I don't know if I've pointed this out. For most of the time I've been on LCF, my "goal" was 145. I've passed that goal! I changed it to 140 before I began this round, thinking I'd get to 140. Well, just about. But I do feel like I'm at "this goal."

I just may, however, make my goal 130. One more 21 day round. We'll see. First P3/P4!

Even though my last injection was yesterday, I'm rounding my LDW to 143. Just an easier number and kind of an average of the past few days.

So...

Round 2 by week:

week one -4.1 lbs (not including LOAD weight, which was only about .9)
week two -4.3!
week three -1.1 (TOM)
week four -2.5

Total pounds lost in R2: 12
According to my rough calculations, 9 lbs of that was FAT.

On this note buttah, I posted back the bodyfat percentages from my rounds, if you are interested. First two were hhCG and the third was rx. Just my experience as a study N=1. You can disregard as you like.

I think I was just encouraged by the fact that it was going going DOWN in all cases! Across the methods it was pretty consistent, just slightly different. Except for that one completely wacky reading at work. My company was having a fat loss contest and I remember doing the bf thing on that scale and thinking, "These poor people have NO CLUE how inaccurate this is!" I also don't think that I'm close to 16% bf now, as some of the lower indications read--I'm probably closer to 20%--but that beats the heck out of 40% or whatever it was I started with!

P3!!!

Today is divine so far. Woke up lower than my LIW by about a pound. Had an egg yellow scrambled with some whites and ground turkey for breakfast, plus one slice of bacon.

Then some seaweed as a snack.

Then sliced turkey in a salad with just a smidge of bleu cheese.

Tonight I'm making grilled salmon (my favorite thing IN THE WORLD, and I missed it so much!) and and asparagus (but a drop of olive oil on the asparagus, please).

Taking it really slow. Just happy to be eating some "normal" foods.

For now, I'm skipping fruit. Just because of the added fat. Playing it very safe.

And drinking a ton of water!

I'm solid at LDW (and constipated, so probably better). STARVING, but eating protein and veggies and very few nuts. No dairy yet. A smidge of cheese. Nothing sweet - only a few strawberries, but staying away from fruit as much as possible while I load up on protein and new fats.

And sick. So also having Airborne.

I hate being sick, because all I want then is cup o' noodles, and that ain't on P3.

How are you?!

I'm sorry I missed your question on the 18th. LOL. Let's see what was I doing then? Oh I know, trying out some gluten-free fishhouse food and gaining ha ha ha! As you know now, I'm on R8. I can hardly believe it. When I started this journey, I thought I would lose 100 pounds in 4-5 rounds. Well, I sort of did, anyway - until menohell and my frustration level led me to do re-do rounds. Now since I successfully found JUDDD helps me to maintain, I am not afraid of trying to re-lose hormonal weight gain. Hopefully I can keep any new ground I master. And hopefully enough time has passed for an hcg round to be fruitful.

Hi Marie, Shelby, & Buttah.

Do any of you know anything about the RX Nasal Spray Hcg? Would love to know if it is dangerous or good/bad reviews! I can't find anything on google search except for the pharmacy info on the stuff. My daughter is going to try after watching her friend do so well. I have concerns. I know this is crazy, but I really like the safety of the hhcg. She has hormonal stuff still going on w/ migraines etc.

Congrats Buttah on making your 2nd round so successful!!! I am still doing the phd and daily fasting, not sure yet if I will move over to 5:2.

Marie, I didn't see your journal so I am hoping your round turned out great!

I don't know anything about it, but I've seen a few people post in the regular HCG forum about it. Maybe post in there?

I'm plugging along in maintenance!

Thank you. I posted there and maybe someone who knows something will respond. I think it is very strange that hcg would be inhaled? The pellets make sense and of course, injections, however nasal spray? Bizarre.

I am going to ask Robin.
