Thanks everyone!

Sunday (and C'Marie), JUDDD did so many wonderful things for me. It taught me that hunger is temporary. And that just because I "can" have it, doesn't mean I "want" it. At least not right now. And that "more" isn't really "better." That "treats" won't hurt my weight or progress AT ALL if I keep portions small and in moderation.

I'm really tempted to JUDDD (to lose) again as soon as P3 is over, but I don't want to enter a second HCG round coming straight from JUDDD. I think that was hard on my body. So for now I'm just going to enjoy maintaining - and probably maintain the entire 6 weeks, then do one last round.

I'm also torn between doing RX again vs. homeopathic. Maybe my hunger would be better on hhcg; maybe not. Maybe my losses would be greater. But since THE MOST important thing is stabilizing, and that's going so well, I'll more than likely stick with RX.

Unfortunately we have a weekend trip Dec 16-18, so I'll either have to do a PI or wait until that's over to start losing again. Or maybe load during the trip. But I like to be in control of my loading, and not at the mercy of whatever food is offered where I happen to be.

Stay tuned!

Still hovering around my LIW. Still eating to hunger. Still thrilled.

You just go ahead and enjoy your lovely new body. Grow accustomed to it, relax into it learn to be proud of it.

Why not consider maintaining through until the New Year with this lovely body of yours? Enjoy the Holidays without gaining weight, flaunt yourself in your gorgeous new clothes.

You know you can lose weight, you have various options available to you.

But perhaps you deserve some time to learn to love yourself.

Kissa, I'll tell you why. I've waited 16 years to get this weight off. And what finally motivated me was the idea of FINALLY getting my pouch taken off. Full tummy tuck. Honestly, until that piece of useless disgusting flap is off me once and for all, I can't even "feel" or "see" my new body in its true form. I'm tired of dressing "around" it. I'm tired of looking at it naked. I'm tired of carrying around an extra tube of skin/fat that is NOT MY FAULT.

And I want to be at a slightly lower BMI before that happens. At 145 I will no longer be "overweight."

Got it! Good reason, respect.

I had a face lift 11.5 years ago when I lost 56lbs. Best decision I ever made. I love my life lines, but there is no character in a 'wattle'

OMG Cindy, since losing 37 lbs, I think I've now got a wattle, too! A bit of one. But I don't see anything else on my face that needs lifting. I keep hoping the neck will tighten, but so far... meh. I might check into a neck lift. Or something.

Tummy first, though. And boobs need massive lifting (I had a reduction at 18, and I'm still huge). Might do those two together.

Wait. You lost 56 lbs 11.5 years ago? And then the rest when? You're an inspiration.

Almost done with week two of P3, and just about .4 above LDW. No complaints here. Added an avatar. I just had a publicity photo shoot, so I asked for a non-face shot!

I've been boring. Still in my window. Loving life.

Reposted from the P3 thread:

My plan for Thanksgiving, just so I've said it "out loud" is:

Egg white or protein shake breakfast.

A healthy snack mid-day if needed.

Then, at our dinner:

lots of salad, pick out the croutons
turkey w/out the skin
and lots of veggies (our friends make the most delicious veggies you've ever had in your life - thank God)

If I indulge, it will be stuffing OR desert, but not both. I'll assess beforehand which looks more deserving. And only a small serving.

I pledge to gain the bulk of my holiday enjoyment from feeling skinny and having everyone notice. I suppose that's a healthier addiction, no?

Last night we were at a fundraiser - I knew there would be hors d' oeuvres coming at us right and left, and didn't want to be shipwrecked without healthy choices.

So to prepare, I had a broiled salmon fillet before we left at about 5pm (this was the same day as the pancake restaurant for breakfast where I had a veggie omelet instead of pancakes, mind you).

As a result, I wasn't even hungry at the fundraiser. I had one tiny chicken burger (about a tablespoon), without the "toast" it was on and a few slices of raw red peppers. I concentrated on seeing friends I hadn't seen in years. It was so much fun.

Gotta stay in this mindset. Gotta stay in this mindset. Gotta stay in this mindset.

Wowzer! You have done an amazing job with maintenance! Good for you Buttah!

I would venture to guess that your HS has served you well? I don't know if you talk about it on the other thread, but it seems to be what has been my great temper on UD. Hope to be able to do the same as you on Thanksgiving. I am serving my special Pumpkin Pie, Sweet potatoes & dressing, because it is our tradition, but my plan is to keep it all within my cal allotment. I really do like the fact, that it isn't messing with my plan! I will send the pie & sweet potatoes home with my daughter/son.

Well, I'm not counting calories at all, so it's a combo of the hunger scale and not eating carbs or sugar hardly ever. And I mean hardly ever. Little bites once in a while, with a slice of low carb bread or tortilla once in a blue moon.

Robin W. would tell me to start having those things to get out of "diet mentality," and start learning to how to eat them in moderation, but the fact is I just feel better and healthier without them.

Stay tuned.

I hope our T-day is wonderful. I'm so glad I don't have to cook. We always go to the same friends' home.

I'm about .2 out of my window, but not really since TOM started today (and I always lose up to 2 lbs by the time most of TOM is over). So I could be under my LIW soon!

The P3/P4 threads make me a little crazy, to be honest. I see patterns that I really, really, really don't want to fall into. Ever.

I think I'll just talk to myself in here.

So looking forward to my goal round in mid-December. And in case nobody's noticed, I have lowered my goal. I hope I can get there in a short round, up to 30 days. 43 was just too damn long!

xoxo everyone!

I'm finally about to start my "goal" round, after about 8/9 weeks of P3/P4!

From P3 thread:

I decided to load this weekend, while I'm away. I may do two days; maybe the three. Playing that by ear based on how disgusting I feel. I so do not look forward to loading AT ALL!

I had another wonderful Skype session with Robin W. that was full of SO MUCH good info (including urging the full 3 days). And some of you will be happy to learn that she's found most people stabilize just a tad over their window (up to a couple lbs over LDW), but in her studies taking all the proper measurements, it's a bit of lean muscle gain and continued fat loss after you stop HCG (at least with injections). At least that's how I understood her reason. I think that's what's happened to me because I'm solid as a rock just about .3 or so above my window (wouldn't have even shown up on a non-digital scale in Simeon's day). But all my clothes still fits the same or better as when I was at LDW!

I also know that once I focus on building even more muscle after this next round, my scale number may be higher than R2's LDW. But that's fine. I'm interested in having less fat on my body. That's what people see (including me in the mirror); nobody's coming over in the morning and reading my scale.

Robin kept saying how different HCG rounds are for "leaner people like you." It made me love her even more.

Robin also warned me that second rounds are notoriously bad or less successful in terms of cravings, hunger and loss, than first rounds. I sure hope the fact that my first round wasn't so great means I'll be the opposite. Did anyone have a better second round?

Today is VLCD1!!

Okay, so I don't forget.

We were out of town without a scale the day before I started loading, so I don't have my exact weight, but I had stabilized from R1 at around 155 (LDW was 152.7, so I considered that in my "window.")

So I'm going to call my starting weight for this round 155, although it could've been slightly more or less.

Load gain was a shockingly small .9 lb.

I think I loaded well. I was stuffed nearly every minute, and I ate low carb, high fat and protein. Things like full fat GY, cream in my coffee, avocados (can people please learn to spell that word?), lots of nuts, tons of bacon, cheese, cheeseburgers (protein style - no bun). Last night I had a protein 3 x 3 from In n Out. I didn't even know those existed (thank you, DS). Calories were around 2700 on Load Day 1 and 3000 on Load Day 2. I think I loaded enough. Robin wanted me to load three days, but I honestly don't think I can do it.

So today we begin. I may have some egg whites for breakfast since I'm not doing the 3 day load, or cream in my coffee, but by lunch I'm doing the protocol!

Stay tuned.

Cheering you on Buttah! I know that you will ace this. I don't know if I could do it for more than 10 days and that is speaking from someone who fasts EOD. I know it works and the results are phenom. I will come back when I have time later in the week to see you.

No! I'm doing RX again! Stabilization went so well, I'm not messing with that. Plus almost all my weight loss was fat. And honestly, I don't believe enough research has been done on homeo. Having done some homework I'll try to dig up, HHCG actually works in an OPPOSITE way from tradition homeopathic theory. If it were truly working in homeopathic way, as in "like cures like" (not disputing that it works, mind you, because clearly it does), that would only make homeopathic "sense" if HCG "causes" abnormal fat. Hence, you would give a bit of it to make abnormal fat go away. One doc I read up on suggested another term for how it works, but it wasn't homoepathic.

Anyway, while I did purchase some IM pellets to stockpile for some possible future use, I'm sticking with the real thing, per Simeons, etc. Nothing is more important to me than maintaining!

Every Other Day. same as -
ADF - Alternate Day Fasting

Yes, I lost 45 lbs in a very long 60 day P2 and I was thrilled, but burnt out.
I used the RX sublingual drops that were called "Releana". Compounded by a pharmacy in CA. I stabilized well for about 1.5 years and then went through the dreaded meno-hell. I am serious when I say that I couldn't figure out if I wasn't eating enough, because I never really went out of P3 type eating, except occasionally. I did enjoy wine and drinks once in a while, but not weekly. So, I gained 25 lbs back over the next 2 years and that is when I came to JUDDD land.

I have a friend who lives in LA works in the acting industry who did the same RX and lost I believe 58 lbs over 5 months. I think she had horrible time maintaining and should never remained in the P2 for so long.

Sunday, now I remember!

I am 55, and menopause has been really mild for me. Or really stretched out, or something. I was getting my period every 5-6 weeks before HCG, then it got regular on HCG, then I had an 8 week gap from the last period during my P2 to a week or so ago. I don't get many hot flashes, and they are mild. I'm praying I'll be like my mom and not really "notice" menopause trickling away.

I'm shocked at my low gain from loading, and it's making me think I could've been eating more (as long as low carb) the past few weeks.

I'm also really happy I had a near 9 week break between rounds. Hopefully that will help make this a successful round.

I certainly believe you could do much better the 2nd time around. I would think that 2nd rounds are difficult because some have a hard time staying true to the rigidness. Which we both know, is the key. You will not have this prob!

I also went on a weeklong cruise that Spring and that was the beginning of my weight gain. It seemed like I gained 8 lbs on the cruise and failed to correct. I believe that is when I should have done another round of hcg. Oh well! Live & learn! I do think my body had some other health issues, but the meno didn't help me.

Well, if you haven't gathered from my posts, I am NOT gaining this weight back. Not that anyone ever means to. But still. Too old. Been there, done that. And my maintenance was not easy because of some magic. It was "easy" because I have changed my eating habits and attitude toward food, INCLUDING celebrations and holidays that include food. So many seem to falter there. It's hard.

Having my tummy tuck after this round, and that... will be that.

Good for you! I will definitely never gain that weight again, now that I am on the downward trickle. I also have found that I kettlebells and rebounding. I think the two have given me the last little bit of motivation I was needing.

Also, plan on tummy tuck and breast lift. I hate the jiggle under the bellybutton.

Haha. I have more than a jiggle under my belly button. I have an empty pouch of skin big enough for a kangaroo. Breast lift in the plans, too! Possibly another reduction (had one at age 18 and I think I kept growing.)

If anyone is wondering what losses can look like the first day IF you hardly gained anything during load...

preload weight 155 (I think, didn't have a scale with me that day). Just a hair out of my "window," but that is where I had stabilized.

12/18 VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 loading!)
12/19 VLCD2 154

So I lost my load weight plus one lb. In my first round, I had gained 3.3 during load, and lost exactly that my first day. So I guess I'm one pound ahead of that! And soon I'll be at my LIW from R1.

So far, hunger is much better that the beginning of R1. I pray that continues.

It's day 3 of my VLCDs for my goal round. So far I'm doing SO MUCH better than last time hunger-wise! (Fingers crossed, don't jinx, don't jinx).

Anyway, here is this morning's report:

pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale), just a hair out of my "window" and where I had stabilized after round one.

According to Robin Woodall of Weight Loss Apocalypse, with whom I have skype sessions, MOST people stabilize 1-3 pounds above their window due to regaining some lean mass after a round)

12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load)
12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load)
12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.4 from pre-load)

I'm now .2 below last round's LDW of 153.7

A few interesting tidbits:

My first round I had gained 3.3 pounds loading and lost exactly that after VLCD1, then 2.4 by morning of VLCD3 - EXACTLY my losses so far this time! Weird when you think that my load gains were so different (3.3 vs. 0.9).

My body fat percentage is lower than it was at this weight before, proving Robin's theory correct, at least in my case.

Just so happy I'm not weak, starving, shaking and feeling normal already. I hope the other shoe doesn't drop.

meanwhile, having trouble updating my ticker and WL chart with new goals, etc. Stay tuned.

You're really moving it there!

Hi Buttah
I've been a long time lurker here and have done two rounds of hHCG with a good loss - but I wanted to let you know you're inspiring me every step here...the questions, the detail, the way you go about things. Awesome, and thanks....keep up the great work! Can't wait till you get your goal!
