Good job, Buttah! I know you're disappointed, but your body only can do what it can do. I bet you stabilize like a ROCK. Go slow on re-entry of fats. I upped my protein just a bit on my last days of VLC without dosage.

As I just posted in another thread, I plan to take "gradually" VERY seriously in P3. It stuns me how many posters (at least in the past) talked about P3 like it was some fat free-for-all. OR food free-for-all. Like I also said somewhere else...

HCG is like getting something on a payment plan. You can to enjoy it really fast (fast losses as opposed to other diets), but you have to keep paying even after you get it home!

If you're feeling hungry maybe you should consider just skipping the last couple of injections that you have and getting done with the final VLCD days. Don't push yourself too far!

Thank you so much, Cindy. I have tried to keep my sanity, but that's always a challenge for me.

And I'm already thinking of giving up enjoying Thanksgiving (it's just ONE DAY) and starting my second (and final) short round ASAP, which I believe is after 3 weeks of P3? Can any HCGers confirm? Although I do want a successful stabilization in the end, so I'm looking for the generally agreed-upon answer, not the "rogue" one.

Then again, I could just JUDDD my way there.

I want all the new jeans I've bought to keep fitting!!!! (And then some).

Looking forward to using a bit olive oil when I cook my protein again. And perhaps an egg and a piece of turkey bacon (or real bacon) for breakfast. Other than that, I'd be fine continuing to eat what I've been eating! How's that for strange?

And my weekly totals:

By week:

Week one (includes 3.3 loading): -9.8
Week two: -2.3
Week three: -2.3
Week four: -1.9
Week five: -1.9
Week six: -1.9

Perhaps I'll post before and after measurements soon, although I didn't take them for the whole first week, I think.

From the P2 thread, where I'm kind of invisible anyway (If a girl diets in a forest and loses a pound....?):

Yesterday morning was my last injection, and today I'm down another .6. It's crazy, but it seems like the half and half in my coffee and a bit more protein/calories the past few days has not hurt me at all, and in fact, may have given me a better total week had I started it sooner.

And I'm curious why today isn't considered my LIW, since it's the morning after an HCG day. My body has no idea that I'm not going to inject today. It would seem logical that tomorrow would be the first day where the "weight" wouldn't "count," not today.

Anyway, just thinking out loud.

I so want to keep losing. Is it kosher to start losing again after the three weeks of P3 (without HCG)? I don't think Simeons ever really said. Anyone know?

Actually, just re-weighed at my usual time, and I'm down .7 from yesterday. Yay.

And for some other math:

Body fat percentage (using hand held monitor) at beginning of HCG @ 169.5% - 40% (67.8 lbs of fat)
Body fat percentage today @ 152 lbs - 34% (51.6 lbs of fat)

Total lbs lost: 17.5 lbs

Total lbs of fat lost: 17 lbs.

That's outstanding! I'm happy for you!

As an hcg'er, I'll answer your question. Between rounds, minimum time is 3 weeks P3 and 3 weeks P4. After that, you can lose again with hcg. IN P4, if you do JUDDD or some other way to lose weight, you can lose. The 3 weeks of P3 you are supposed to "set" your weight, not let it move more than 2 pounds in either direction.

Thanks, C'Marie!! Can you explain, though, why yesterday's weight (last injection) rather than today's is the official LIW? Today is 24 hours after injection, but my BODY didn't know it was done being injected yet this morning when I weighed upon waking - it was following a typical injection/VLCD 24 hour period. I can see why TOMORROW's weight wouldn't count, as my body will have already lost a day's worth of HCG. But this morning's? That seems just as "legitimate" a weight to try and stabilize to as yesterday's! KWIM?

Weight = 151.9 Last VLCD Nearly a pound below LIW, thank you, fate.

Having one egg for breakfast. What a treat. I'm doing a very conservative ramp-in of calories, using protocol foods though (like what Shelby posted in the HCG short form, but more conservative and starting later). Tomorrow begins P3. Will continue w/same. No fat overload for me!

Congrats on being down .7! That's awesome and will give you some WIGGLE room as you enter P3.

To answer your question about another round, it is my understanding (and I"m hardly an expert) That you are supposed to do 3 weeks of P3 and 3 weeks of P4 before starting another round. If not, you could have stabilizing issues afterward.

I often wonder if only doing 1 week of P4 was to blame for my troubles in P2 this time.

Maybe ask Robin?

As for last VLCD... you do your last injection and then it's 72 hours VLCD, so that day plus 2 days of VLCD without injections then P3.

I bet that Half n Half helped b/c I truly believe your body did not want to let go of any more weight b/c it was in a "protection mode" of sorts. After so much time of low calories and fat, it was afraid to let go of anymore. But the introduction of fat gave your body what it needed so it felt ok releasing a bit? Obviously not a scientific explanation but what I think could have been going on towards the end.

You did a great job Buttah and should be so proud of yourself. Tomorrow is the start of P3 for you right?

After researching, I agree 6 weeks is safe. Earlier is not.

And yes, I know how many VLCD's. Today is my last one. (Last injection was Sat morning). I just don't understand why the official LIW is not one day later than it is, if you read my reasoning (in post #290), which as usual is obsessively accurate. But whatever! (I wasn't asking how many VLCD's; I was questioning the logic of the placement of the LIW.)

Very excited for P3, but I'm viewing it just a strictly as the protocol. I will limit my fats, etc, per my clinic's guidelines. My goal, though crazy, is to maintain 2 lbs BELOW my LIW, since in my opinion, yesterday should be my LIW anyway, so really only 1 lb below that. That's my goal. Let's see what happens. If I have to JUDDD to correct, so be it. I don't think there is any magic other than ketosis to those steak days, and I believe JUDDD will correct just as easily. Unless I'm craving steak. But hopefully, being as strict as I plan to, no CD's will be necessary. Famous last words, right/!

So, my first day of P3 was yesterday!

Woke up this morning at 151.8 (it's earlier than I usually weigh, so it could go down), nearly a lb below LIW, actually at what I consider my REAL LIW (what I weighed the morning AFTER my LIW, 24 hours after my last injection.)

I counted calories yesterday, out of habit. Came in around 1200. I'm going to ramp up slowly, but I know from JUDDD that I rarely am hungry for more than 1800 calories, which is pretty reasonable.

Had one egg w/three whites cooked in a half teaspoon of butter for breakfast. Half and half in my coffee, as usual.
Lunch was a salad with P2 chicken, red peppers, mushrooms, quarter avocado and about a tablespoon (maybe one and a half) of blue cheese dressing.
Dinner was beloved salmon fillet (about 7 oz) and grilled asparagus.
Snacks consisted of 5 cashews and a half an apple w/ a tablespoon (maybe less) of SF peanut butter.

Was totally satisfied and blissfully happy all day. Except for the flood in our kitchen, which will hopefully be solved today. Luckily we have a second sink station, but the dishwasher is out of commission until the issue is resolved.

I have spent a fortune on new clothes. And shoes. And jewelry. And an absolute prize of a coat I have wanted for years, for the three days it gets really cold here. (Although I have to go to NY frequently, so there's that). Had a 25% coupon for one of the stores that carried it (it's Vince), and well, I just HAD to get it. Size Medium and very roomy (I'm wearing smalls in some things, but I like coats to feel generous).

And that's that.

Thanks, Cindy!!!!!!

What's really fun is that I have about 8 meetings this week with VIP's in my business, most of whom have not seen me in 30-ish pounds. It's like my "coming out" week. If only it were cold! Then I'd have the coat fabulousness, and the reveal. Oh well, now I'll just walk in with the reveal!

Here you are Buttah! I have been meaning to drop in and write you, but my cyber time is extremely limited due to my crazy life and job.

I haven't been able to read everything, but I just want to congratulate you on a very successful P2!!! It sounds like you are enjoying P3 and your new skinny clothes! Hope to see you soon in JUDDD land. I think you may be pleasantly surprised at how easy you get to your goal by JUDDDing your way there!

You're doing awesome!! And how fun is it to shop for new clothes?

I'm dying to go shopping. Despite a closet that had clothing pouring out of it- I really have nothing to wear. Everything is either too big or too small. Nothing is just right.

I need a day to go shopping soon!

Getting my hair cut and colored (going for something different -ish) today. Yeah for that.

Keep up the good work!

So far P3 has been wonderfully dull. My weight has barely budged more than a fraction of a lb up or down from LIW, 152.7 - today it's exactly that.

I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but pray it doesn't.

Lifted from the P2 thread:

Every morning I nervously get on the scale, and every morning... there's my LDW again. I keep thinking "well, naturally, yesterday won't show up until tomorrow,or the next day" and then tomorrow and the next day come, and there it is again: LDW.

It's truly a miracle.

Yesterday I realized I could once again eat my beloved Trader Joe's roasted seaweed snacks (sound terrible, but so yummy and salty - people either hate them or are addicted to them). Between that and the SF chocolate syrup or almonds... BLISS.

If anyone's interested, every day I have 5-6 servings of "fat," which includes things like a tsp of butter, tablespoons of olive oil, mayo, peanut butter, 16 pistachios, 20 peanuts, 6 almonds, tablespoon of cashews (I don't count or measure any of this, but that's what my clinic's sheet says), 2 tbsp of salad dressing, 1/8 avocado, 1 slice bacon (and I suppose one package of seaweed snacks, maybe 2).

I'm also eating about double the protein of P2 and, a few eggs, 2% GY (they said be careful of dairy, so I have it about every other day so far) and ocassional SF chocolate syrup on strawberries. I usually have only one fruit per day, just to be safe. But not always.

Eating out has been fine, too. I order grilled fish and veggies, sometimes omelets. Once had to pick the chicken out of a pasta dish (or the shrimp out of a stew with potatoes) at a party. No biggie.

Could. Not. Be. Happier.

And adding this: tonight I made one of the Linda Low Carb recipes, coconut/almond flour "breaded" chicken tenders with a peanut sauce. So good. I can't BELIEVE it won't make me gain. Then I topped it off with a few more of the SF chocolate covered almonds I discovered yesterday. Nervous about tomorrow, but if it's anything like all the other days....

Buttah, Love to read the about the yummy fats you have been adding!

I have been easing on over to simply HS w/ higher fat and mod protein. I am very loosely JUDDDing and notice that I am eating a lot less than I did on UD and a bit more than normal on DD. I found that JUDDD completely healed me from snacking, which means that normally I just eat 2x per day, br & dinner. Some DD I eat once per day. I tried to do 80/15/5 and it is workable, but my life is such that I am not going to fret when I can't work it all in.
