Oh I don't know....you'd be surprised how old I am--most people say "no way" when I tell them I'm in my 40's!
I feel real good today! I've been walking for an hour in the afternoon the past couple days and I think that has a lot to do with it! It's a DD today, and my tummy is growling--got a big chicken breast waiting for me in the fridge for lunch. Yum. |

My UP day was good--lots of baked chicken, and I thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of crispy skin!
Scale hasn't shown any change, which is odd for Atkins, but my pants are feeling less tight....so I'm not going to worry about it right now. |

The weekend was good! I tried a new recipe for pizza, using turkey and mozzarella cheese for the crust! Pulsed it in the food processor--it was pretty good! I didn't like it the next day because it got a little soggy, but the man gobbled it right up. I haven't skipped a workout and have been doing well on the eating, but I probably have way too much heavy whipping cream....gotta try to curb that a bit. Sure love it though!

Hi Monica! Things are a little frustrating for me--ya know, it was WAY easier losing weight when I was single and living alone. Now I'm having a hard time getting a groove going because someone else keeps wanting to change the plan, or gets upset when I don't want to eat dinner.....I think he's used to eating at a specific time, not skipping a meal, etc. Some days I'm perfectly fine having coffee for breakfast, and sometimes skipping dinner or making a salad for myself. It was a DD yesterday, and things were going SO well until I got home from work and someone got huffy because I didn't want to have anything for dinner--so I felt like I *had* to eat something with him, and ended up going way overboard.
Today's an UD and I already have the meals planned (and we WILL be eating dinner together), but I'm letting this little thing get to me to the point where I'm re-thinking my relationship, and what I want. Maybe it's just that time of month, I don't know. Anyways, that's what is UP today...besides my weight, which is also UP 3 pounds since yesterday morning. ![]()

Oh Lisa, I am sorry you struggled. It isn't easy when someone else tries to guilt a person into eating. Darn it! Can you set up the meal and just plan to eat salad??? That's what I do for my children on DD's. I make them the MEAL and then I eat a salad with them. That way they aren't eating alone. SOmetimes you have to think mens issues through as if they were a child
Because most of them are! here's to a better day today! |

Ok...yesterday turned out to be a good day, and today looks alright too! Monica, good advice on how to handle the situation--I believe we are going back to straight JUDDD, no Atkins starting today. Up day, of course.
Hi Pat! Thanks for stopping by! No such thing as an "old hen"...we all cluck the same! ![]() |

Hey girly! Wow, I'm sorry you've been having a "time" lately. I'm sorry about the situation with your guy..I can relate! Have you expressed to him how his tantrums make you feel? Maybe he doesn't realize that he's even projecting an attitude? Like Monica said, at one time or another they always end up acting like little kids.
I'm more than sure that he has every intention of being supportive, I hope you guys can talk things through and find an agreeable compromise. ![]() Have a wonderful weekend! ♥ |

HI!
You mentioned your high energy Jack Russell and the treadmill.......Wouldn't it be fun if you could run over for a day and we could play with the dogs and talk!? I'd love that. PJ would have your Jack on the treadmill in no time flat! I dogsit to supplement my SS and every single dog PJ and I care for has adapted to the Treadmill and loves it. I have a big basement and it is all cleaned out. The dogs and I go down and play 'soccer' and walk on the treadmill every day. Have a great JUDDD day and thank you for your friendship!

Accckkk....I need to keep reminding myself to get on here and keep focused on my diet! Whenever I skip checking in here, it seems that my eating for the day ends up on the "not so good" scale.
![]() Aww Pat, doggie-playdates are fun! I have family in Chicago and I try to visit often...but my pup never goes with due to her getting car sick--never known a dog to get car sick, but that's my Bailey! Well, once again....I'm in "maintenance mode"...not gaining or losing the past couple weeks. I'm not ready for maintenance! grr. I'm trying though, I'm trying.....*sigh* |

Hi, Saxy!
Being on this forum really helps me, too! Maybe one day in the future we can meet up in chicago. I am in Rockford and have a son in Skokie. Be kind to yourself. Not gaining is wonderful!! Blessings. |

I know you are, Monica...and I just love ya for it!
I think my dieting issues are related to some general feelings of doubt in other points in my life....I guess it would make sense to me anyways, because I'm kind of an "all or nothing" kinda girl and if something is wrong in one part of my life, I let the other parts suffer too. ![]() I'll find a way to muddle through....not giving up on any part of my life yet! |

Ok....my goal for today is to get through my DD with no issues! Breakfast is tea (no HWC today!)...Lunch is 100 calorie pk kettlecorn....and dinner is a Yoplait light yogurt. I need to stick to this today....Scale was NOT good to me over the weekend!
I have bowling league tonight, so no walk for me tonight. But starting tomorrow it's ON! |
