Tonsilitis...that turned to a full-blown cold. Ugh....I had JUST gotten over a cold, so I'm not happy that I caught yet another one! I didn't manage to walk yesterday because I stayed in bed all day and night--today was pretty good! Got a nice walk in this morning, and my head doesn't feel as wonky.....Didn't track food, but didn't do poorly either. Joe made homemade turkey lentil soup and I had a couple bowls of that this weekend, and some cheese and crackers. Drank a whole lot of liquids and I think that's why I'm feeling better so soon. I need to keep drinking like that every day.

hope the weekend was great for you ladies!

Hi! I'm feeling pretty good today....except for the fact that I got on the scale this morning and just about blew a gasket. I don't know if it was all the OJ I drank over the weekend, or the soup (which has lentils, peas, and rice in it)....but my weight shot all the way up to 209! I was 203 last week! What happened???

In other news, I'm pretty happy about my morning workouts being a part of my day again....I've missed it so much.

Well....*sigh*....I re-calculated my numbers because it looks like I'll be starting over AGAIN.

UP Calories: 2018
DOWN Calories: 404

Today's a DD, and it won't be a problem...I'm so disgusted with myself I can't even think about eating. Had coffee....No more OJ, but have soup just in case I need it at work today.

Joe's going out of town for hunting again this weekend, so this will give me a chance to hit it hard on working out, and maybe use my protein shakes for my Friday and Sunday DDs, since he won't be here.

Aw, well hang in there. The scale will go down again. I'm sure the juice had everything to do with that number, it's not real. Also, don't forget about all the exercise you've been doing. that will mess up the scale too, but it's a good thing. You're doing great with all that exercise!!

Hope you're feeling better!

Well, between yesterday's weigh-in and today's, I dropped 3 of those horrible pounds....so I'm at 206. Had a good DD yesterday, and a great workout. I set my alarm clock 15 minutes earlier, so I can get at least 45 minutes of walking in before getting ready for work, so we'll see if I can stick to it.

Hangin' in there.....really need this to work, because I don't want to go back to Atkins. I don't really want to go back to restricting certain foods.

Thanks Monica! That was a margarita (on the rocks). I usually like mine blended, but this was pretty refreshing!

I've been doing some reading.....I don't know, maybe I just need more confidence in myself, but I'm considering changing my rotations to something that may work better with me. I'm reading about the 5:2 plan....where a lot of people set their "fasting" days to Monday and Wednesday, and are successful at dropping the pounds.

I'm at the mindset where 2 DD's a week won't be enough for me, so I wonder if setting DD's to Mon/Wed/Fri would be better? Weekends are sooooo tough for me; even tougher when I have a man that complains about not being able to eat anything on the weekends.

What do you think?

Lisa, try it. If it works better for you, KEEP DOING IT! There is truly no ONE SIZE FITS ALL Plan! Worst case, you don't lose or lose really slowly....Then you can switch back if that is the case.

Ok, we'll see how it goes! I haven't had a chance to talk about it to Joe yet, but he'll be gone this weekend anyways....this will give me a chance to give it a "test run". My DD's are M/W/F this week anyways, so it fits in fairly well.

Scale showed 203.4......MUCH better than the 209 I saw at the beginning of the week! Been working out every day too, so I'm hoping to stick with that.

Thanks Monica! It sure was a wake up call for me though--I don't ever want to see that number again. Worked out on the rowing machine for 20 minutes and I enjoyed a nice "eggs w/toast" breakfast this morning with my usual coffee. I feel good!

I'm excited to do a little experimenting with set rotations--and I'm going to try to reduce my carbs on the weekends to hopefully help keep me from going crazy with the food.

Ok, my sweetie is on the bandwagon to try the set rotations for a while. Here is what we're planning:

Sun: Up Day
Mon: Down Day
Tue: Up Day
Wed: Down Day
Thur: Up Day
Fri: Medium Day (We don't want to give up Friday fish fry!)
Sat: Medium Day

My calorie goals are 2000 and 400. I'm thinking a medium day would be around 1200 then? So we can technically fast until dinner that night and eat all our calories at dinner.

I hope this makes sense as far as it being something that could work for us.

Thanks--we'll see how it goes!

We're doing something with Joe's family for T-Giving this year, since we were at my family gathering last year. His fam is local, so we don't have to go out of town--and he's going up north hunting again next weekend, so I'm going to have two weekends in a row, trying to keep out of mischief.

Monday Down Day! Filling up on coffee, hot tea, and a Lean Cuisine for lunch that will hopefully last me until dinner--seriously thinking about just having a 100 calorie popcorn for dinner. That will keep me under 500 for the day.

Hey Ladies!

Well, I must say that it seemed like I was cheating on Saturday and Sunday--today my DD is a little under 500, and I'm afraid to weigh because I feel like big water balloon. So I'm going to wait until tomorrow and see what the scale says.

I'm hoping that this rotation eventually shows some progress for me pound-wise, because today's DD seemed a lot easier after the semi-regular eating on the weekend. I think with technically having only 2 DD's on this plan, my daily exercise will be key in whether or not I make progress. We'll see.

Well, today I weighed and I'm not impressed....I'm not going to get upset though, because I feel good with the exercise, and I had a good DD yesterday. Maybe a good 2 weeks will show whether or not this is a good change or not.

No traveling for this holiday! I will most likely be going to Chicago for Christmas though, because most of my family is there. I work on Friday, so it's ok to stick close to home this holiday.

The scale is just not moving for me this week....I enjoyed yesterday's UD thanksgiving, but didn't go overboard! Had to guesstimate on my tracker due to most everything being homemade, and I only ate that one meal for the day.....1600'ish. You'd think with the exercise I'd see a drop. *sigh* Oh well.....Joe's up north hunting, and we had planned on Fridays being "medium days", but I'm going to try to make it a DD to see if anything happens by the end of the weekend.
