Hi Monica!
Food-wise, it went well! However, scale-wise, not so good.....Not sure why, but it could be either the sodium I overloaded on, or TOM stuff. I'm sticking to the Lean Cuisine down day plan though, because it's the best way for me to feel satisfied. And if it keeps me below 400 each time, then it's definitely something I should stick to for now. |

Wow, yesterday I ended up having coffee and a lean cuisine all day, which put me at 360 for the day. I bought a new car, so I wasn't thinking about food at all, and that helped!
Today is another story though....had mac n cheese for breakfast and I feel like a big, carby noodle. Planning a nice, light lunch so hopefully it will be a good eating day. |

Lisa - congrats on the new car. What did you buy? What color? I love new cars and yet, I haven't had a new one in almost 7 years. The car I am currently driving will be my son's once he is old enough to drive. I will be using this one for another year at least. Then I have no idea what I might buy!

Thanks Monica! I got a 2013 Ford Focus....black. I love it! So many buttons and computer screens in it....had to actually read the owner's manual to figure them out! Most of the options are voice-activated so I kinda feel like I'm talking to myself!
Today was a good UP day....went out for a burger and got dangerously close to going over 1900. Looking forward to my DD tomorrow! I'm still staying away from the scale..... |

We have a huge bowl of candy ready for all the trick-or-treaters! Hope we don't end up with a lot of leftovers.....tried to get candy that I didn't care for too much so I won't snack on it. Candy wouldn't help my DD one bit.

Ok, new month....time to get a new outlook on JUDDD and get the scale moving DOWN! Weighed in this morning after staying away from the scale for a few weeks. Discovered that I barely moved the numbers since the last time I weighed. So....maintenance shouldn't be too tough for me once I get there!
....after a good UP day, that is. ![]() |

I had a great UD, and actually looking forward to not eating much today.
Hi Danielle! Thanks for stopping by! I'm sure you will continue to love JUDDD! I do, although I haven't made any progress, pound-wise. I know it'll happen within the next couple months though--IF I don't slip. |

Grrr......had 520 cals yesterday and all that showed on the scale was a .2 loss! Not a good start to the day. I don't even feel like having my up day now, because I'll surely topple over 203 for sure!
Ok, plan for the day--I'll forget about hitting 1900, and shoot for 1200; that way, tomorrow's weigh-in shouldn't be TOO disappointing. Hopefully. |

Hey Lisa!
I'm sorry the scale isn't cooperating, I hate that! Hang in there and do not give up! Remember, TOM is lurking so that is more than likely what is happening with the numbers... don't short yourself too much with the calories, it's important to try and stick to as close to your allotted number. You got this!! I'll be right there with you. ![]() |

Thanks Danielle! Weekends are so tough for me, and adding TOM to it just makes it worse. Truth be told, I made poor choices in how to spend my calories, and I'm paying for it.
My fiance and I both agree that we need to make better choices and include more veggies. So today I whipped up a big bowl of fauxtatoes(threw a couple potatoes in there to make it more decadent!) and a big bowl of rutabega--LOVE how the whole house smells like Thanksgiving now!

I'm trusting them!
Went to a breakfast meeting this morning and only ate half a pancake--took the rest in a box, to eat for dinner tonight. I have a yummy lunch of whipped potatoes/cauli and a jumbo hot dog (ok, not the best protein to have, but I was craving a hot dog...lol) I did a lot of thinking over the weekend, and I looked back on my food/exercise tracking since January, when I was in that weight-loss contest. Wow, how things have changed since that contest ended in July! For instance: 1. My exercise went from 30-60 minutes EVERY DAY to ... 3 times a week......to once a week......and for the last 2 weeks--NONE. 2. My Fat/Protein/Carb percentage ratios went from 85/10/5 range to ... 30/20/50!! On a regular basis! Gee, I wonder why I'm not making progress.... I've been gaining and losing the same 3 pounds for 2 months. When I lose, I recall that it's usually after I hear about a friend dropping a couple pounds, or my fiance had a good weigh-in. And that usually results in me wanting to work out. This tells me that my motivation is competition-related. So....Today, I'm coming into this plan with a fresh outlook. I need to: 1. Find something to "compete" against in order to maintain my motivation. 2. Keep the regular workouts, via my newfound motivation. 3. Start eating "better" - meaning, add more veggies and protein regularly instead of using my calories up on carb-laden foods. My fiance and I are both guilty on going overboard on our UDs, not paying attention to all the good proteins and stuff we have in the freezer and instead, going out to eat for burgers and pizza. This week that stops--well, we're at least reducing it to one dinner and one breakfast/lunch a week--rather than 2-3 dinners, 1 lunch, and 1 breakfast a week. Now.....I need to find something to keep me in "competition mode"! I'm pumped up to do this!! (See, just the THOUGHT of this is making me feel like I CAN do this!!) I'm so bloated!
I'm not going to let that discourage me though! Had a nearly perfect up day yesterday (thanks to some maple syrup and butter) and the scale did go up, but not much at all! |

Well, I gained after my 400 calorie DD. Was hoping to work out this morning, but felt a little too "blah" to do so. I'm planning on walking at least an hour on the treadmill tonight after dinner--and I'm actually excited about it! Since I bought my elliptical machine earlier this year, my treadmill has been collecting dust--time to dust off Old Faithful and get back in gear!

Sounds like a good workout plan. I will say, since I started JUDDD, I have only walked. I walk about 5 miles a day, 5 days a week. That is all. I used to be a runner and gym rat. I would run 30+ miles a week (sometimes) and do weights at the gym....and I am smaller now then I ever was as a runner! JUDDD has taught me, FOR ME, 98% of my weight issue is what I stuff in my face.....has nothing to do with working out. FOR ME!
Got big plans for your Up Day???

Thanks Ladies!
I'm hangin' in there....Didn't bother weighing today, as I'm retaining water like mad and could barely button my pants today! (and I know it wasn't because of yesterday's DD.....I was actually 300 calories lower than target) ![]() I got on that treadmill last night and felt great afterwards! I normally work out in the morning, but I think I might throw in a couple evening walks--I slept like a baby last night. Today's DD feels good so far.....although, I'm going to the Dr. this morning to get a strep test done--Pretty sure it's tonsilitis though, because I have such HUGE tonsils and get sore throats quite a bit. |

Well, the quick strep test was negative, but they're sending it for a culture and I will hear later today--been drinking tons of tea with honey and consuming insane amounts of cough drops.
My walk this morning felt good though--I really need to stick to that. No scale today...I know it wouldn't be good, as I'm still bloated as bloated can be! |
