Thanks! I'm trying! I have a new DD addiction--radishes, dipped in dijon mustard. Satisfies the crunchy, spicy cravings and so low in cals! I did weigh today, but I'm not taking it too seriously due to TOM. I'm shooting for next week to give me 7 days of "under 200" weigh-ins in a row.....Lofty, perhaps. BUT, posting it here will make me want it more and stick to the plan!

Well, I'm back at 198 this morning, after another 350 calorie down day--I wouldn't have been able to do it had I not had the headache from hell...ended up going to bed around 4:30pm! So of course, I woke up around 11pm, 1am, and 3am because I simply wasn't tired.

I don't think I'm starting my UD on a good note--had 2 of those toaster strudel things (so, so good), and 8 Totino's pizza rolls. What a breakfast, eh? At least I can honestly say that 4 hours later, I'm NOT hungry. With about 500 calories already under my belt, I'm going to have no problem at all hitting 1900. I know I could choose my foods more wisely....but for some reason I'm still in this stage where I want to eat junky-type food.

Lisa, Up days are for whatever you want to spend your calories on. Yesterday I had a brownie/chocolate chip cookie bar (200c) with my breakfast. I just cut back on lunch and then ate my normal dinner! It's your choice girl!!!!!

Yeah, I know....I just kinda wish I was over that feeling of entitlement for all the food I was restricted from on Atkins--I track my food for the day and can't believe the stuff I put in my mouth on some of my up days!

I'm sure I'll get better at it as time goes on and I'll perhaps start eating the "good stuff" I loved on Atkins to add up my big calories(egg salad was a big favorite of mine, and I haven't eaten it on JUDDD at all.)

hmm....that actually sounds pretty good. Maybe I'll bypass the usual UD Friday Night Fish Fry and have that!

Well, I thought I overdid it a bit last night, but it was almost right on the button of 1900. Today I weighed in at 200.6....so this gives me a little hope that my "up-down stairway" will start going down. If I can do well today on my DD, I'm sure it will give me the motivation I need to keep my UD weigh-ins below 200--I don't think I've had an UD weigh-in under 200 since my first week of JUDDD, so I'm calling this progress. haha

...and progress is what is going to keep me going.

I'm pretty disappointed today.....201.6 after a fantastic DD and an UD that was pretty low(1400 instead of 1900), I thought for SURE I'd be under 200. Gotta keep trying....something is keeping me from moving down and I need to get a handle on it soon.

Lisa - I caution you against dropping your UD calories. YOu were basically 500c under what your levels were supposed to be. Those that cut up day calories to speeed weight loss don't typically see the results they are wanting. JUDDD is truly a rotation diet and the levels are what they are for a reason. Trust the process girl. Eating up to the UD calories is often just as important as eating down on the DD's!

I'm sorry you were disappointed!

Thanks Monica--you're right....I need to trust the process....and just need to stick to the numbers. I'm probably making this a lot harder than it needs to be.

Absolutely no change on the scale today--my UD was about 500. Must do better next time.

Going out for pizza tonight....there will be no problem getting up to 1900 today.

We had a change of plans--we tried a new Brazilian steakhouse instead of pizza. It was a fantastic experience--the gauchos kept coming around with the most delicious cuts of meat. I know I had to have gone over 1900 for the day, expecially with their cheese/tapioca flour biscuits that were so addicting! So yeah.....I'm up to 203 today. *sigh*

AND....I'm coming down with the crud that's going around here. Feel miserable today, so I guess the good thing is I don't think I'll be able to eat anything today but an orange and maybe some chicken broth. My throat can't take any more than that! So here's to a super low down day to get me back on track!

Went to bed at 4pm yesterday, with just an orange and a cup of chicken broth in my system (oh, and tons of cold meds, Airborne, and hot tea)....scale didn't show much of a drop today, but I don't care. I'm miserable enough without that....lol

I have a deadline to meet today for a project so I have to go work...otherwise, a warm bed would be the plan for the day. I think it's going to be an early night again.

Whoa, what a weekend.

Monica, thank you so much for thinking of me! I'm feeling pretty good today....enough to go to the office, at least. It was a pretty crummy weekend, all around. My fiance is in S. Dakota pheasant hunting until Wednesday, so I pretty much layed around in my pajamas and ate junk that gave me a false sense of comfort (hello stuffing, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese...ugh.)

I haven't weighed since Friday night. I don't even want to look at the scale, because my jeans are feeling pretty snug today.

Today is a new day....and I'm getting back on the rotating wagon.....today is an UP day. Gotta rock this thing!

Oh, and a side note--I got a couple new SF syrups to try in my coffee....the Davinci butter rum is AMAZING in my coffee!!

Today IS a new day girl! Dust off the crumbs and move forward. The only way to go from here is DOWN! Having today be an up day is a great plan! Let me know how it goes and how things proceed for tomorrow! Glad you are feeling better!

I reached my 1900 cal goal yesterday, thanks to a couple of sodas at bowling last night. Today's DD is starting off well--Just coffee for breakfast, and I brought some radishes and a dijon mustard/mayo dip for lunch. Tucked an orange in there in case I get hungry. Dinner tonight will be a can of soup....should be just under 400 cals if I can make it through!

Sounds like a great plan girl! I love soup, only problem is it is HOT here again. I simply can't eat soup when I am hot! Supposed to cool down again Thursday, plan for Friday is SOUP for me!

Hi Monica! Wow, I woke up this morning thinking it was Monday....I'm so glad it's Thursday because I'm sooooo ready for the weekend after a pretty hectic week at work.

Well, this morning curiousity got the best of me and I stepped on the scale for the first time in about a week. Did NOT like what I saw. BUT....the good news is that I have a plan. I'm going to start doing Lean Cuisines--they were half price at the grocery store this week and I stocked up. Only bad thing is they are loaded with sodium, and I have high blood pressure. It's only a temporary thing though, so I should be good.

Coffee for breakfast, LC spring rolls for lunch, and an apple for dinner will bring me just under 500 cals. I can do this!

Thanks! I think being sick and my fiancé being out of town took me down the wrong path of eating....so now that I'm feeling much better AND my sweetie is back home, I feel MUCH more confident about this!

I haven't had much time on here the past couple weeks, and haven't sat down to read the JUDDD threads, and those really helped me so I need to start taking some time to catch up there!

Note to self: Pick up some more of those Lean Cuisine thai spring rolls....they are incredibly tasty and satisfying! 200 a serving, and there are 2 servings in a box.....so it feels like I'm pigging out!

It's going on 3pm, and I'm not hungry! I'm at 430 cals now.....the apple I'm planning for dinner just might be alright to put an end to the day's eating!

Yesterday's DD couldn't have been any more perfect! The scale showed it too. But who knows what today will bring....we're going out for fish fry.

Joe is doing JUDDD with me and I think he's having more success with it. He went off the rotations too last week when he was out in South Dakota, but they walked for miles each day in the fields, so he didn't gain anything during that time. He enjoys the plan--and he's super good at figuring out DD meals for us.

I need to step up the exercise, I think. I don't know why I keep stopping once I'm into it! I have all the machines I like in my workout room, plus a TV! Time to make it a habit again.

Lisa, MEN do very well on JUDDD. I think my DH could just do 2 DD's a week (and even do them loosely) and he would still lose. Heck, now that he is at goal, he will go weeks without a true DD! Damn guys make me sick! It is still nice to have someone following along with me, even if he is just going through the motions!

Yes, the nice part is that we're doing it together, and it really helps keep us both accountable!

Last night I had a cheeseburger instead of fish fry....AND a piece of german chocolate cake! It was soooo good! This morning it was coffee and a 30 minute workout on the elliptical. Going out of town to visit Mom and some friends, so I'm going to eat a lean cuisine before heading out--and bring an apple to eat later. If I can make it through, it will be a 370 calorie day! Crossing my fingers!
