Horrible weekend.
I thought I did ok......but I guess thinking gets me nowhere as far as the scale is concerned. I'm ballooning up to where I was when I started. Again. I've been relaxing on my exercise the past couple weeks.....I *need* to find the motivation to stick to it, dammit! It's my own fault I'm teeter-tottering between 199 and 204....every single freakin' week. Ok.....starting tomorrow morning, my alarm clock goes off at 3:30am instead of 4. This will be MY time to get on the treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine (whichever one I feel like). I will have no excuse NOT to at least do 30 minutes! I used to be addicted to my early morning exercise....I don't know what happened to me that I lost the desire. I know there are people out there that do this plan on little or no exercise--I have reached the conclusion that I am NOT one of them. I'm hoping and praying that adding my daily workouts will make all the difference.

Scales are the enemy
![]() Thanks for your posts, I really enjoyed reading them. I to have a very unhealthy relationship with food, all or nothing, feast then famine. I also have real body image issues.".if only I was thin life would be sooo much better!!" Thankfully I am able to work past these monsters as they crawl out from under my bed. I am on LCHF this is my second day, I think I weight 86kg, goal is 70kg good luck and I look forward to seeing your progress |

Hi Rottenthing
Thanks for reading--I know what you mean regarding the body image thing. I avoid mirrors and fitted clothing as much as possible--I think I celebrate and pacify with food too much, and that may be a big problem for me if I can't learn to control that. I lost my first 25 pounds doing LCHF with Atkins....My percentages of 80 Fat/15 Protein/5 Carbs worked real well; then I got the feeling of being deprived of a lot of the foods I enjoyed, so I switched to JUDDD after a stall of 2 months. I think it's a good plan, but for me it's not sustainable. JUDDD would be for me....once I get to know what calorie levels work best. I wish you luck and loss (of weight) I feel great today...Getting up a half hour earlier has been very productive! |

Hope your rotation switch gives your body the jolt it needs....and that your blood sugar reading gets a good butt-kickin'. |

Wow, I couldn't have had a more perfect DD yesterday, and virtually no loss on the scale this morning--I won't fret though; Had a fantastic workout and am not going to let the numbers get me down today!

Yep, I've considered it. Starting this plan, it was kinda fun seeing the scale bounce.....Well, it's not so much fun anymore. I suppose it would be helpful to compare the numbers to what I ate the days prior, but that would make this WOE too complicated, and this plan is supposed to be EASY!
![]() I'm trying to step away from the scale....maybe I'll start by not weighing on weekends. |

So far so good--only had coffee, a banana, and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. 380 calories--I might even go to bed early so I don't think about eating and leave it at that.

Well, today the scale showed some progress--200.5. Tracked yesterday's DD food at about 350 cals. Usually I get about 500. Maybe I should use 350 as my guide for DDs moving forward to see if that makes any difference.
I'm heading out of town for work today, which means lunch out....and most likely dinner on the road. I'm so hungry right now, so I'm going to bulk it up more than usual, and my plan is to have a light lunch--this will leave me plenty of room for a couple White Castles for dinner. We don't have White Castles where I live, so going to the Twin Cities once a month for work is kind of a treat. |

Lisa - lower DDs only if completely necessary. THere are many people on the forum that eat at 350 level so good luck! I personally can't get / keep that low. I really struggle some days at work with being irritable and unable to focus! Let me know how it goes!
Enjoy your White Castle burgers girl! |

Well, after lunch out with colleagues, and my White Castle burgers, the scale only went up .3 lbs. I don't really believe that. I know some people have said that the up days don't show up until a couple days later, so we'll see how I can do on today's DD.
Monica, I was sooooo hungry on 350 cals, but I'm going to do my best to try to hit that number for the next few weeks--I'm getting so frustrated bouncing around 200 and I'm ready to hunker down a little more if it would mean getting past that hump and into Onederland for good! Today will be a BIG test.....fiance is going out of town today, so I'm on my own for dinner tonight....a down day. I'm hoping to have the strength to resist all treats and just eat the roasted acorn squash I'm planning to have. |

Let me know how the 350c goes. I have never been able to get my DD calories below 500. My average is typically around 600c. Enjoy your weekend girl. Stay strong. With him not around, you eat ONLY what you want. YOU CAN DO IT!

Ok...my last two DDs were around 350 calories and I'm back into Onederland - 197.8! I think my body is telling me I need to stick to that number on my DDs, so that's what I will strive for!

I ended up hitting about 500 cals yesterday, so not much movement on the scale today--but I'm going to try to be mindful of what I'm eating on my UD today and shoot for a lower number than usual. It seems that my DDs are more fruitful at 350, so why not try to cut my UDs a little as well? My original target number is 1900....so I'm going to shoot for 1750 and see how that goes.

Lisa, stay true to JUDDD. You have only been on the plan a short while, I certainly wouldn't lower your Up Day calories. JUDDD works well, if done as it is intended. What are your Up Day/Down Day calories per the calculator?? I caution you from changing your up day stuff girl. You truly need the Up Day calories to properly get the SRT stuff going. It then fixes metabolism issues. Let me know! Also, just weigh after DD's, maybe that will help too!

Ok, you talked me into it Monica. I trust you know what you're talkin' about!
However, I'm still going to try to hit the 350 mark on my DDs.....it seemed pretty effective the last two times I did that. Thanks for looking out for me! |

No offense, Saxy, but this sounds excruciating, lol. You've been doing this for two months now and lost 6 lbs? Didn't you say you started at 204? I'm doing about the same (slow) on LC, but I'm never hungry, well hardly ever and if I am I eat! That's what scares me about JUDDD.

I hear ya Saxy. I miss some of the carby stuff but not like I did the last times I tried LC. I have researched so much more this time, and I'm trying so many recipes. I don't feel deprived at all and in fact feel so decadent eating this way. I still have JUDDD as my back-up WOE if I find I can't stick with LC, or just want to try something different.

Hey Monica! I ended up eating a bit past my 350 goal, but still kept it low enough.....I weighed last night before I went to bed, and it wasn't good. I stayed away from the scale today--and it's an up day, so not sure if I even want to weigh tomorrow. haha! 2 days away from the scale would almost be a record for me.....TOM is here and I'm trying to keep cravings at bay.
