I messed up this morning. Had a piece of toast/butter, which broke my fast 12 hours in. Not going to dwell on it though, and will move forward as usual--maybe this will be a good time to have a Down Day!

Hi, Saxy just peeking in your journal. You're definitely on the right track and you have the right attitude. Although I step on the scale weekly, I find the best show of success is when you can fit into those "use to be" tight clothes. Remember, we can't carry a scale around to show people we lost weight, but we can definitely let them see it in our clothes! Stay encouraged.

I think I've developed an addiction for greek yogurt--particularly the Oikos coconut vanilla....omg, I could eat that every day (And I'm planning on it. haha)

Hi sldeal! Thanks for stopping in--it sure helps to have support!

Ok, so I have a co-worker that has been my 'sounding board' for my goals and getting back into shape. I'm not sure how he did it, but he's managed to get me interested in completing a 5k race. I've been doing the couch25k program, but it's boring me to bits and I end up walking more than jogging because I just don't feel like doing it! But doing a little research about trail running and competing is starting a fire in me! Do I call the Fire Department or do I put my nose to the grindstone and sign up for a race this Spring?

I can't answer any of your questions, but running a 5k is one of my goals to do someday! I'd love to do it in under 35 mins, which really isn't all that fast, but it would be for me!

Keep us updated!

Lisa if you can trudge through the C25K plan, then you can transition to trails. Truly, C25K is the best program to get started with. Do you listen to music? Do you have a treadmill? Could you do it indoors and watch TV while you work it??? I ran for years, I started with a 5K and worked my way up to Half Marathon (13.1 miles).

I say go for it! I have never been a runner but always wanted to have a goal to eventually run a few different marathons, etc..

Good luck to you, you can totally do this!

I appreciate the encouragement! I'm going to start a rookie running program tomorrow on the treadmill--it's 8 weeks long, so if I can get through it, I think I'll be ready for my first 5k!

Monica, I can't figure out how my Mp3 player works (that Joe got me almost 2 years ago..haha) so I usually watch TV when I'm working out. I suppose I can just take my laptop in there and launch Spotify...maybe I'll try that tomorrow. Got some good heavy metal music that should get me angry enough for an intense workout.

Do you enjoy Spotify? Do you use the premium one that has no ads? I have read about it and am very interested. I use Pandora on my Iphone, I don't pay, so I have the ads, but they don't bother me.

Spotify is great--I don't mind the ads, so I don't pay anything for it. I link it to my Facebook so it's easy-peasy for me, since I'm always on FB it seems.

I'm so freakin' hungry right now. 2 hours to go til my eating window opens!

Ha! I know all abou the hungries, and how to incorporate that into a good excuse to go to bed early. I don't think I've been so well-rested before starting this whole IF thing!

Had my fantastic lunch....didn't finish my broiled chicken tenders, so I might snack on those for my 'window-closing meal'.

Can it be used as a Iphone app? I listen most at work during the day, plug into my docking station and let the tunes roll!!!!!!!!!

As far as the iPhone thing, I'm not sure.....I'll let D answer that one. I don't have an iPhone.

I have the app for my phone, It indicates that listening to the "radio" is free. I will try it! I too love Sirius, but I didn't like paying extra for using the app. DH has it in his car, so I listen to it there. On my phone I rotate between Pandora, Accuradio and now Spotify!

Thanks girls!

So Lisa, how are things going? I didn't mean to thread jack your journal! SORRY!

haha! Threadjack away! I didn't have anything new to report anyways.

Ate a little late yesterday, due to being at work late to run some training. I'm hungry this morning, but I only have 2 hours to go! Having homemade potato salad and greek yogurt for lunch! Yum.

Thanks Monica--You know, the only TOUGH part of this is the morning, when I'm used to snacking on something....If I get through that, it just seems too easy to work. It HAS to be working, by the way my clothes are fitting lately. I check my weight just to see what's happening there, and it's barely any change--I just don't get it. I'm not complaining about feeling lighter...not at all.

Well, I can understand mornings being tough. That's when I struggle, so my new dd routine is to make stirfry veggies with 1 egg for 90c. It stops the tummy growling and keeps me going for hours! So I completely understand your struggle!

Still feeling pretty good, even though I kinda overate yesterday - Went to a mexican place for dinner (within my eating window though!) It was 2 years ago yesterday that I met my fiancé, so we celebrated a little. I got lovely flowers at work too, so that brightened my day.

Tonight we're going to go shopping at Kohl's (Got a 30% coupon, Monica!!) I'm going to look at some new workout gear--I really need some kind of sports bra that will keep the kiddos in tight while I'm doing my jogging spurts.

For some reason, I just wasn't in the shopping mood and only picked up some yoga pants, and some real cute heels!

Made a potato-cauliflower mash yesterday that was so freakin' good--had it for lunch, and for dinner yesterday; and having it for lunch today! I could eat that stuff every day! Next time I think I'll make it more carb-friendly and make it mostly cauliflower--Joe said he's ready to try low-carb again, so I guess we're giving it a go starting next week.
