Hey All
Just love reading the up-dates and how supportive everyone is with each other. Im day four and its probably wishful thinking but I swear my pants are a little less snug. I stil havent weighed, saving that for Sat morning after I get home from work. Im struggling to get my fats up so I have made full fat egg mayo my best friend and plop it on everything. The cream in coffee is ok, although a little heavy. With regards to food Im mainly sticking to: lebanese cucumber Lettuce Chicken Ham Eggs Bacon - about 2 serves this week Some cocke zero water Im still not really paying o lot of attention to portion size, just making sure Im not hungry. I guess sat will tell I am very incouraged by everyones progress, thanks very much for sharing ![]() |

Happy 2 Stone Lighter Day!!!
![]() On another high fat mod protein low carb thread, they're saying you have to eat a certain amount of protein so you're not damaging yourself by loving lean body fat. Mines between 56 and 69g or something. What do you guys think about this?? |

I am very cautious of believing anything I read like that since so many fake facts are out there. I believe I am actually gaining muscle on this diet but here is some info to back that point up The Institute of Medicine recommends we get at least 10% and no more than 35% of calories from protein. (I average about 14% per day) Webmd says "Adult women need about 46 grams a day." Indoorclimbing website " It is almost impossible to become protein deficient; however, it is easy to exceed you maximum daily protein intake requirement. Exceeding your maximum daily protein intake could reduce your atheletic performance and have an undesirable effect on your health."

Your plan for weighing is good. I find myself being obsessive of weighing so waiting is a good thing ![]() Be careful eating chicken since it is one of the lowest fat meats and highest protein. Try replacing with hamburger if possible ![]() |

CONGRATS!My 2 Stone Lighter Day is still eight pounds away- can't wait! ...I tend to eat about that much protein. I have trouble keeping it lower. After reading what Mary posted I will try a bit harder to lower it. Rotten: Putting mayo on everything is a good idea! Even if you are having trouble finding the right foods while you are away- I can't see you gaining any weight on what you are eating- remember NOT gaining is a good day too! Mary: WOW!!! When you drop you really drop!! That is SO AWESOME! YAAAY! Alie: You dropped too!!! This is a really good day! Ummm.... oh Me? I didn't. BUT! It's okay because I didn't gain either. Stayed the same. |

I ate 47 grams of protein today... definately over. 23 gramsof carbs.
![]() I was starving and let myself go too long without food and this is what happens. The funny thing is in the real world I still ate like a bird. Doesn't take much to put you over. I'm def having an off day - not feeling 100%. Hope I am not getting sick. On the upside I did walk quit a bit today- maybe I'll get lucky. |

Mary
Thanks for your advice re swapping mince (hamburger) for chicken. It is difficult to get plain mince at camp its usually miced in with pasta or heavy sauces. I guess I could do a small steak. I find I am not getting hungry as much and eating four smaller meals at : 0530 - B 1000 - smoko 1400 lunch 1600 - snack I dont eat an evening meal because I am completely satisfied. I did weaken today and have a can of "full strength" soft drink. Im not a sweet tooth but had a real bad sugar crave today. Oh well little blip on the LC radar, back into it. Im flying home tonight which is yaaaaayyy, and have planned to have a couple of glasses of gin with soda water. Look forward to catching up on everyones progress in a few days ![]() |

Mary: WOW! that is just amazing!
Congarats!!!Christina: I'm so glad to hear you have good friends helping you. Rotten: I will be interested to hear how things work out for you after you get home! Good Luck! Experiment Day 4: Uh Oh... I went out last night. Stuck to 1500 calorie plan. I had collared greens with bacon- certainly had WAY to much sodium. I was like a blimp this morning so didn't weigh. Darn it! Time to flush that salt again with water. ![]() Everyone is doing so awesome!!! Good luck today!!! |

Hi All!
Down 1.2 pounds today - a mini whoosh. I suspect that I will start TOM in a couple of days because I always whoosh right before and then gain steadily throughout (unlike the most of you). Yesterday, I took Mary's lead and went back to basics. I counted every gram. Weighed my food. Cut back on somethings. I feel really good and only ate 1534 cals. Hoping to lose a bit more before I leave for Cape Cod on Tuesday. Wishing you all whooshes this morning! |

![]() I hve really been enjoying eatin this way. I feel like when I know exactly what I am eating and I am counting every single little thing I won't even take bites of bad food. Yesterday I was starving for some reason so I ended up with 1,550 calories since I don't want to feel starving LOL. I lost .2 lbs yesterday and I haven't lost anything yet today. I am going right back to my usual 1,400 calories today and I am going to stick with that the next couple of days and if I don't lose anymore by then I will go back to higher calories. I swear every time I think I have it completely figured out I have to shift something around LOL. The good thing is I always am going down not up but it's frustrating not being able to just do the same thing and have it work constantly. I guess that's the nature of the beast ![]() |

I almost forgot.
Yesterday I realized my pants I just bought last week (from the thrift store thankfully lol) are already way too big on me so I went out to buy another pair. I am now officially a size 16 comfortably in everything. I went in grabbed a pair of jeans I liked and tried them on and they fit. I cannot even tell you how amazing that felt to get the ones I wanted and not have to spend forever finding ones that would fit me or look good on me. When I started low carb I was a size 20 in SOME jeans and if I wasn't able to fit into a 20 I just wouldn't buy them. Things have changed so much for the better ![]() |
