Hi SouthernGirl. 5lbs?? You got this!!!

I drank away my lb up from yesterday.

I don't think I'll see the 180s until TOM comes/goes. I'm so close!!
And Hubby wants to go out to the sushi buffet for lunch tomorrow..gotta admit, it does sound pretty tasty. But not sure it's worth it.

Hi ladies!!!

Christina congrats on your loss!!!

Allie, hang in there! I can garuantee that's TOM causing you trouble

Betty, you are doing great!

I woke up at my lowest weight this morning so no loss yet today. It is so odd that I seem to lose between maybe 11am-5pm everyday and barely ever in the morning. I have been cutting off food at 8pm so I don't understand it at all. I am wondering if I drink more fluid at night or something. I still hope to lose today

I have been experimenting with eating supper earlier.....first I thought it made no diff but then slowly I started losing again....right now I eat supper at around 2pm and then I have time still to burn it off and my body can rest during the night and not digest.

Yeah! I sure hope you and Mary are right!

Having said that, I am being very careful today. I am noticing I lose weight more on weekends when I am away from the office. I suspect the stres and cortisol from stress are causing a bit of a slow down? When I am at peace and relaxed things just fall off.

Touch base later!

I feel like I lose pretty much no matter when I eat but I love waking up to a loss instead of waiting until the afternoon. I suppose a loss is a loss and I should be happy whenever I get it during the day but I want it in the morning darn it lol

That could defintely be true. I know I always gain something when I PMS whether it stays until my TOM or not I always gain and I think the majority of women do so I would think it was that for sure

hi guys! this WOE seems to be gaining a lot of popularity.

i saw this thread in the main forum: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ma...80-15-5-a.html

and then read about something called "nutritional ketosis" which seems similar to this WOE as well!

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/lo...ge-anyone.html

great info to have!

p.s. congrats on the continued losses!

the nutritional ketosis thing is based on books..one of which was co-wrote by a guy who wrote on the newer versions of one of the Atkins books..I think I got that right!
It's a lot more technical than Mary's 'program,' and a lot of the people are relying on there meter to make sure if they are indeed in ketosis. I got the meter but now I feel silly.

I was just coming on to say that I made a stuffed Bell pepper with cream cheese, jalapenos, BACON and shredded cheese

Drool that sounds good!!!
I don't see any problem with using stuff to see if you are in ketosis but in my opinion if you are losing as fast as we are and eating what we are you know you are in ketosis without a doubt plus it's nice to be able to just know your body and know what to do without using anything to tell you.

I only got to chapter 4 on the low carb living book since I have been so swamped with work. I hope to continue getting to read more of it soon. You can never know too much about losing weight the right way

Bless Your Enthusiasm

I was almost ready to give up as I couldn't find much positive affirmation about high fat woe. Your enthusiasm is wonderful and so refreshing. I would like to sign on and take my time to read all the posts. Can you tell me what thread the diet is explained on?

Thanks to you all. I'll try it tomorrow.

Hi Carmi!!!!

I am so glad you have joined us!!

Our woe is very simple. I refer to it as LCHFMP.
I eat on average:
83% fat
9.8-13% protein
7.2% carbs

I eat on average 1,750-1,950 calories a day. You can adjust calories to whatever fits you and try to stay around those percentages. If you don't know your percentages now you can use carbs control on your iPhone or you can use fit day on your computer. Knowing your percentages is super important on this woe. That is pretty much it. It's very simple and I do not workout. I don't believe any of us workout at the moment. I have put a sample menu of an average day for me below:

Breakfast:
Cream cheese cloud or 4 tbsp cream cheese

Lunch:
2 oz of macadamia nuts

Dinner:
Hamburger with 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and two small slices of bacon

Snack:
2 eggs and a half a can of green beans

I vary my menu some but I eat the same things most of the time. All of us on here eat different stuff we just stick to these percentages. If you look back through the thread you can see lots of different recipes and foods we eat. I am always happy to answer any questions!

Well, I am not doing well. In the midst of a panic attack. Verge of tears. Ridiculous I know... I am up over another full pound from this morning!! I have not deviated. I have stuck to plan!! How is it possible that someone can go from 247 to 251 in 2 days?! I know, I know, you will all tell me it is TOM but I don't believe it at this point. All that hard work and successful days gone.
I keep thinking of you Mary- how you held on as long as you did while your hormones played with you.
I have no choice but to hold on- living any other way is not an option anymore... I'm sad.

It all came off within a few days leadin up to my period but believe me it IS possible. I said nothing on here about it because I was SO depressed I didn't Even want to talk but it DID pass and it IS your TOM. You cannot gain weight that fast I absolutely promise!!!!! Hi and Welcome Cami!!!! glad u joined us!!!!!!

I manly eat a fat bomb for brekkie after 2coffees with almond milk and CO and sometimes HWC.
Then I eat when ever I get hungry again. 10-12kernels of macadamia nuts or sf jello with whip cream mixture or CC or CC muffins
Then for supper (around 2-4pm) I eat some meat 3oz with either some cabbage or cauliflower or lettuce etc then put butter on meat, sour cream and/or guacamole on veggies and/or lettuce

If I am still hungry (highly unlikely after all that fat but it does happen) then another CCmuffin or half of a fat bomb or a shake of almondmilk/hwc/cinnamon/stevia yumm yumm

I've been researching and many gain weight during TOM. Some as much as 10 pounds! Everything I read assures me its water weight. So logically, if I keep going and stay on plan, the water will eventually leave and I may come out a lot lighter than I started at?

Why must women suffer the way we do!

I need to not lose faith. Its hard.

Thanks for being there Mary. I knew I could count on you! Funny how weight fluctuations can take me from a real positive place to one of desparation. It was only days ago I was proud to be giving advice and helping others. Goes to show just how sensitive I am.

I'll get a good nights sleep and hope for this TOM to go away sooner than later.

Dear God, if this TOM last as long as the last one I am going to lose my frickin mind!

I appreciate your help
