I had to do a fat fast, for medical reasons. I made a forum post regarding it. Im sure you can search and find it. I did it by the book, with the exception of adding shirataki noodles, and maybe 200 calories some days.


I did lose quite a bit in a few days- I could not have done it without macadamia nuts- atkins suggestion of macadamia nuts was one of the only things I could use as a go-to in between high profile meetings when I needed to be 'on' or risk losing the account.

I highly recommend picking some up.

I am down .6 lbs this morning making for 8 lbs in less than 6 days and I now have officially lost 30 lbs since I started!!!

Dottie - thanks. I drink tea all day. At least it got me off of Diet Coke. I add water in there as well.

Good idea about the macademia nuts as well.

I just don't know if I can eat that much food or calories.

Over 8 pounds in 6 days.
Wow, I have never had this kind of success....even the first two weeks of induction.
I also never lose in the afternoon.
My lowest weight is always in the morning.
You seem to be losing all day long.
It is amazing how different we all are when it comes to weight loss.

Anna,

I never have either!! I did induction for months and averaged 1.5lbs a week the whole time and only lost in the morning. Then I did meat and eggs 3 times one of those times being 7 weeks long and NEVER lost anywhere near what I am losing now or all day long. I think this is nothing short of a miracle

I read ur not exercising yet, but how is ur life style....having to run around after 4 kiddos and running ur own business must give u some movement????? ja?????
I am usually not that lethargic but with this heat and no a/c I am not going to move much till its over.....(about next wed)

I have ONE 4 year old. Goodness help
Me if I had four right now!! Lol I am fairly active but I am Defintely not the type who is up and going around all day. A lot of my work is done on my iPad to give u an idea so I think almost anyone could lose at this rate and no exercise if I can

Ok, after reading your posts and reading through your modified plan, this is what I came up with. Unfortunately, I have to wait until I get back to work and get my first paycheck to buy groceries. In fact, thank God I am a food buying hoarder (I overbuy groceries all the time; from my bulimic days I think); that's what we have been living off of this month. Anyway, here is the plan that I am going to follow. It is based on what you came up with.

B- 1 egg, 1 T. butter, 3 T. cream cheese
L- 6 oz. hamburger (75%/25%), 1 slice cheese, 3 slices bacon, 1 T. mayonnaise
D- 3 eggs, 2 T. mayonnaise, 3 lettuce leaves
S- 1 oz. macademia nuts

approximately
1691 calories; fat: 157.88 g (84%); 8.16 total g (2%); protein: 70.03 g (14%)
Sodium intake: 1683 mg.

I hope that I can eat this much food. I usually don't. I hope this works as well as yours.

That sounds great if you have any trouble losing try cutting back a tad bit on protein since that really stalled me worse than anything else. What you have planned should do well though I think! I can't wait to Hear progress

I'll let you know when I start and how it works.
You and I started close and are about the same in weight right now. The only difference is I am much older and menopausal (don't need to deal with TOM).

Weighed in at 219.6
