I get my keto strips from Walgreens. They have a generic brand that is cheaper than the Bayer brand and seems to work just as well. I think they're like 6 bucks cheaper per box. I try to eat peanut butter VERY sparingly. I also only eat the natural peanuts and oil variety. Even Skippy "Natural" has sugar in it. I get mine from Costco in the refridgerated section but I think Smuckers in the glass jar is a good no sugar natural peanut butter. There are I think 5 carbs and 2 fiber in the not sugar added varieties. Still kind of high but tolerable. Have you made chocolate bark before? Very good stuff if you need a chocolate fix! If you do a search on here for recipes you'll find a bunch. It seems lately people have been making something similar (fat bombs) but using candy molds to make the pieces more precise. Basically you melt a square of unsweetened baking chocolate and stir in coconut oil and Splenda. I pour this mixture onto a foil lined cookie sheet and freeze. After about 30 minutes you have a frozen slab of chocolate candy. I break it up and put it in a freezer container and grab a piece when I get the urge to eat sweets. I also like to pour the chocolate mixture over pecan halves...yum!

Thanks!! Will grab today!
Luckily, I do not care for chocolate. I don't dislike... just don't "crave" it like most people. I made some sugar free jello and ate some of that last night for my sweet tooth
My 4 year old just dragged me out to the trampoline for 15 minutes. holy cow that was hard work in the heat. lol I'm def. out of shape... but dang, that's some good exercise!! may need to add 15 minutes of that to my daily agenda
I'm not looking forward to Sunday... my mom always has a load of mashed potatoes and stuff. I guess I'll be on the "meat and deviled egg" menu. How about cheesecake? Is there something like that we can eat?

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder " some guy said some 500 years ago and they are still quoting him today, so he must have known a thing or two....

Ufa, I got into the middle of a conversation here and got left behind. Moving on out just saying that there is no sugarfree chocolate here worth having so I am doing without.Swiss Lindt is another story and that could well be my downfall if not every imported bar was around 6 dollars.

Have you checked the baking section? It's actually a baking chocolate for cooking with not for eating. It's way too bitter alone.

Cheese cake! Mmmm...yes, you can make a sugar-free nut crust cheese cake. It will not necessarily be induction friendly, but low carb friendly definitely! I made one years ago that was fantastic. I would never make one just to keep in my house though. Too dangerous even if it is low carb. I'll look around and see if I can find the recipe. If I do, I'll post it. Sunday is going to be rough for me too...everyone is brining in something and so far everyone is bringing in French toast casserole, potato casserole, waffle bar, etc... I'm the rebel! I'm making bacon wrapped scallops! Ha! Who says you can't have scallops for breakfast? Maybe I'll make the cheesecake too...

Funnily enough I went out after writing and what should I find but chocolate without sugar added ,the baking kind I mean . I did not buy it though as I cannot find a sweetener I like so I rather do without.
Have a great day!

All this talk of bacon and chocolate bark is making me wonder what those would be like...together...

I tried a chocolate bacon bar recently and it was just about the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

OK...so I've been up and down since a little indulgence on Mother's day. I'm 211 and holding. While I've still been low carb, I am struggling to get back to the strictness I need to have until the June 1st wedding. After that, I feel like I can resume more of and on-going weight loss level. Until then, I'm really trying to stay focused on induction levels of carbs. Except for tonight...I'm having some wine!

So many changes taking place...I've been on and off and have gained about 5-7# back. I'm also in the middle of a terrible reaction to my bad eating. I honestly believe that I am gluten intolerant. I'm itching and have a rashy patches all over my arms and legs. Every time I go off plan, I tend to break out but this is the worst one ever! If that's not a clear indication that I need to stay away from bread and pasta's, I don't know what is! I've now been on for two days, but the itching is still very intense at times. This is terrible! I have a wedding to go to on Friday and I'm embarrased to wear my dress due to all the scabbing and bruising from scratching so much. I take benadryl at night but I can't take it during the day because it makes me so sleepy. I really need to get tested for this but gluten/wheat is the only thing I can think of that will link up with these horrible itching episodes.

There are also huge changes going on in my personal life right now...DH lost his job of 15 years due to a company sale and non-retention of any employees. He just started a new job (day 2 today) but it's a contract gig almost 3 hours away. He's gone all week and will only be home for weekends. I'm trying to look at the positive side of things but it's still hard. I miss my hubby and the girls miss their dad. I guess I'm lucky that after 12 years of marriage and 2 children, I still love my husband more than ever and miss him when he's gone. I have friends who are happier when their husbands are gone.

Summer is quickly coming to an end and the girls will be back in school and I will be back to work and the weeks will go quickly but so too will the weekends. Hopefully the hubs will find a local job soon...
