Yes, we have to keep on trying!!!
I think it is better to get carbs from veggies then fruits or junk food. Don't you think so? Maybe we binge because our body needs the nutrients from the low carb veggies. I think if we eat up to 30 gr of crabs a day from veggies it should work well. Sometimes little more sometimes less. |

30 min walk Good UD today. I have added butternut squash in the evening. It was very yummy B: 8 oz veal cuttlets cooked in 1 Tbl EVOO 640 cal L: 3 egg cooked in 1 Tbl butter with 5 oz spinach 360 cal D: 8 oz haddock fried in butter with garlic powder, 6 oz baked butternut squash, 3 cups lettuce with cucumber, celery and 1 Tbl EVOO 566 cal total 1566 cal/23 gr carbs |

Looks like you're back on track Marika.
![]() I plan to start a strict 2 week induction tomorrow. I started a thread in the challenge section and hope to get some others to join me for accountability and support. I am going to try the New Atkins New You plan and see if the extra veggies are helpful. I do tend to eat only meat and eggs and end up bored and missing volume in my meals, so we will see how it goes. |

I had a pretty decent DD till 6 PM. I started making dessert for DH and macademia nuts were involved. Guess what? Yes, I binged on them plus honey. Ohh!!! I was doing so well
![]() ![]() What was I thinking? I really thought that I will stop after 1 nut? Dangerous time to take a bite as TOM is due anytime. So my 800 cal DD turned into 2000 cal UD. The worst part is I ate honey (such high carbs!!!)I think tomorrow I will do UD or at least MD. NO MORE NUTS for ME. |

I am done trying for a while. I lasted one whole day and binged again. This whole thing is making me feel very depressed and weary of life. Food should not be this damn all consuming. I am just going to take a break from it all for a while and see what happens. I hope you continue to do well and I will check in with you soon. ![]() |

Sometimes it is good to take a break and go with the flow. Best of luck to you Jeanie. Stop by anytime you feel like it.I am plugging along with JUDD. Yesterday's DD was good but I did not like the number on the scale (up 3 lbs overight). I know it is a combo of PMS water gain, indulgance in carbs the day before and TMI issue. Hungry day but I am staying strong. Thankfully it is UD
132 lb this morning. At least it went down from yesterday. No walk, but I have been cleaing the house like crazy. Last evening I got a migraine with aura, after a long time. There was nothing that I ate yesterday that could have triggered it. It could be the honey that I had 2 days ago or just PMS. I have reacted this way to honey few years back. Anyhow the aura was very scary. I lost vision and than had spots in my eye for like 30 min. When the symptoms began I immediately took tylenol and I think it helped with the pain, it was not as bad as I had previously. Still feeling crappy today.
Honey is definitely going on forbidden list. I walked for 30 min and the scale was down this morning. Today is DD and I am eating some haddock and green beans 3 times a day. |

Finally TOM is here and all the blaot and cravings are gone.
I have noticed that after DD I am not sleeping well. I wake up at 3 AM and can't go back to sleep till like 6AM. I think I need to have evening snack on down day, that means I will have to save some calories for the evening (not easy on DD). Yesterday I had 600 cal total and last meal was at 4:30. I was able to fast today till 5 PM.
No walk today. Was up again at 3 AM till 6 AM D: 1 lb baked cod and 5 oz steamed broccoli 538 cal/10 gr carbs |

Today was supposed to be DD but I was so tired and hungry when I came home that I went over by 400 cal. But that's OK, I listened to my body.
Sleep has been really bad for the past few days. Last night I only slept like 4 hrs. Also been having TMI issues for few days now. I think I need to add more veggies, since I stopped all the fruits. 30 min walk B: 1/2 lb baked salmon L: 4 egg whites baked D: 4 oopsie rolls, lamb burgers, lettuce 1040 cal/ 3 gr carbs |

Slept like a rock last night.
No time today for walk today but I am planning on getting back on track with my exercise DVDs very soon Had a good UD today with 1506 cal. I may have a snack in the evening if I get hungry. I should be around 1600-1700 on UD, but I am just not hungry. With little carbs that I am eating my appetite is so under control. I really hope it continues this way and next PMS I can eat like a normal person (I know it is a wishful thinking )B: 2 eggs cooked in EVOO, 3 oz lamb burger L: 8 oz lamb kebabs D: 12 oz baked salmon and 8 oz spinach cooked in EVOO 1506 cal/9 gr carbs |

Merry Christmas to those reading my journal!
Today is DD and I have Christmas Eve dinner at friends. I think I will try to fast till afternoon and than have some egg whites. The worst case scenario I will make this a MD. I think I should do OK as yesterday I went over 400 cal on my UD as I was just hungry, maybe because I walked for 1 hour. So I think I am well fueled for today. |

I am really surprised that I am able to fast all day. It is 4:50 PM and I am still doing well. I actually love the empty stomach feeling. |

Today was a good UD. I had little more carbs than normal (all from veggies though).
Walked about 30 min B: 3 scrambled eggs L: baked salmon with olive oil, garlic, dill and lemon sauce and steamed green beans D: lamb meatballs in curry sauce over baked spaghetti squash ![]() 1745 cal/about 30 gr carbs |
