You're probably on to something there if hormones are the issue then JUDD will not be a bad thing.

WOE: my version of healthy diet mixed with JUDDD :)
Preparing my food for the first DD tomorrow. I went to the farmer's market and got some nice veggies. Will be making mushroom and veggies soup for tomorrow.
I also pulled out my journal with all my UD and DD menus that I have used successfully in the past and I will be using them again.
Today I ate quite a bit already but I want to be well feed for tomorrow.

Sounds like a good plan Marika. If JUDDD was working for you, and it sure sounds like it was, why not give it another go. Good luck!

I feel like my colitis issues were silent as well. I stopped JUDDD few times because I thought it is bad for bingers. I just have to accept the fact that I have hormonal issues that make me binge before TOM. I am not your typical binger as all my binges are tied up to hormones. I don't know if this makes any difference but it makes it clear that diet has nothing to do with it, as I almost always binge before TOM. I will be sticking with moderate carbs and starting off with higher calories on both UD and DD. Probably around 1800-1900 cal on UD and 500-700 cal on DD.
I am starting tomorrow with DD. I don't know what happened with SLD during this PMS. I am will contiune with it and will do 2 tbls of ghee on the evening of UD and 1 tbls morning of DD. Because of SLD I am going to allow higher calories.

So I am making a promise that I will not whine anymore if I binge. If I need to have UUAD I will allow it. I want to get to my goal weight and maintain with JUDDD because I feel good on it
Welcome back to JUDDD hunni, I'm the same with the binging on an UD it's like because I am allowed to eat I want to eat EVERYTHING... but although I don't seem to be losing at the moment I'm not gaining either so it's got to be good right...

Thanks Gina!

I am ready for my first DD. I will have to step on the scale soon and I know it will not be pretty. After last 4 days of non-stop eating I must be really high. Waiting for TOM to finally show up. Late by 3 weeks and it feels like he is coming for past few days, yet not here Come on TOM, do you need any formal invitation

It will be interesting to see how the combo of JUDDD/SLD works out. For the past 4 days, SLD is not working at all. I don't know if this is temporary or my hormones make it impossible to be effective. Very strange. I really need SLD during PMS If appetite suppression kicks in again I will have to see how to work it in with JUDDD. I need to get my UD calories in. Will do some experimenting.

If so you'll be on the same rotations as me and as Monica (I think!) x

It was a great one, Carol! Surprisingly ended up with only 390 cal and that includes 1 tbls of ghee (120 cal). Felt great and very productive.

Keeping my fingers crossed for TOM to come visit you and me

I am thinking about trying JUDDD. I always feared the DD, but am for some reason finding that these days I can fast rather easily, so I am thinking it may not be so bad. I went to the JUDDD calculator page and played around with some numbers but am not sure which percentages I want to go with. Do you have any tips for me as far as starting out? Did you do the induction? Should I maybe start with higher DD calories?

Never mind about JUDDD. I think I'll do better just doing what I am doing which has been IF w/ 1hr. CAD meal, but will probably start throwing in at least one protein/fat meal to the mix.

Hope your DD went well

Jeanie, maybe if you feel like it, you can first try 5:2. You will only have 2 DD a week. This way you can get a feel of DD.
BTW, you could still do 1 CAD meal/day JUDDD style. Carly from JUDDD forum pretty much eat 1 meal on the evening on both UD and DD and she is doing amazingly well.

Just throwing some ideas at you because if you never tried JUDDD before you don't know if you can or can not do it, right?

Just some thoughts, my friend. I know that you are reluctant to try because of binging issues, which I totally understand.

So excited for you Hun - I will be watching (or reading I guess) intently.

I loved JUDDD and whilst in the end I binged something terrible on UD's at least I was able to maintain. I still think it is the best WOE out there.Got my fingers crossed for you - if you can do it means I can. I will be joining you after P3 - Fast Metabolism Diet and then JUDDD for lifetime maintenance. Good luck!!

Great loss and TOM too! Nice.

My TOM is nowhere to be seen. I'm perfectly okay with that, as long as the other stuff that comes along with it leave me alone. I felt it coming on earlier this week, but that's completely passed. Maybe I won't have one this month.

Thanks, Carol! I know what you mean about the other stuff. I hope TOM visits you without his friends that like to party too much before his official arrival

My TOM usually comes every 35 days for few years now. This time it was 51 days I hope it is not some perimenopausal stuff happening (I am 38). I think it could be the 10 lb weight loss I had in August. It happened too fast and my calories were low almost every day. One of the reasons I went back on JUDDD to have the calories swing every other day plus all the health benefits with EOD fasting. My appetite suppresion is not as strong as it was when I started SLD and I hope it will be just enough to keep me in check on JUDDD. I just have to find the correct amount and time to take the ghee. So far so good, but it is only 2nd day.

Mojo, can't wait for you to come back and join us on JUDDD. Just do it right, girl. I want you to be very successful this time. Fast Metabolism Diet looks very sound to me. I have the book (but of course, I have most of them ). I could not follow it becuase of grains.
What I am doing different this time around with JUDDD is:
- SLD
- allowing myself higher calories (if I need it)
- eating lots more veggies (increasing my carbs to moderate)
- changing my attitude to give myself slack during PMS. I will have some crazy days, no question about it but I know they are temporary and I can come out out of it with slight gain that will go away with few rotations. I will try to stay away from fruits and yogurt, although I admit it is not easy during PMS.

Good day today. I got around 1400 cal, plus will do 2 tbls of ghee in the evening, for a total of 1672 cal/30 gr carbs. Right on target.
It felt like I ate lots of veggies but only came to 30 gr of carbs.

B: scrambled eggs
L: veggie soup, baked salmon, roasted cauliflower
D: sliced fennel with EVOO, lamb shoulder roast, roasted asparagus
evening 2 tbls ghee

Great DD today. I had 1 tbl of ghee for breakfast, bone broth for lunch and will probably have couple of burgers when I get hungry. So today it is going to be low carb DD. I have usually done my DDs LC.
Today I am experiencing fasting high that many people talk about on JUDDD
It is good to be back

The fasting high is unbelievable, I am so much more productive!

My turn to make DH feel guilty for being lazy, I can't sit still.

I think next DD I will do 2-3 small meals. I felt great till 4 PM and than I started getting this low sugar feeling and I had to eat right away. It also felt like my hunger grew once I started eating and I could have eaten beyond 500 cal but I stopped myself as I know tomorrow is an UD I don't think I can do all day fasting. I feel like even tiny protein breakfast holds me full longer than not eating at all. I can still get my DD high with eating 2-3 smaller meals.
I was just experimenting today.
