I got back on track yesterday. I thought when I posted last time my cravings were gone. Well, I was wrong, it only lasted for few hours. Yesterday no cravings ALL DAY and today so far has been a good day. Basically eating eggs/meat/mayo. I know if I can stick with this for few days and don't touch any fruit carbs I should be fine.

Hunger is still under control. Keeping my fingers crossed that my hormones are not playing tricks with me again

I am debating if I should to try to follow MUDD (modified JUDD). I think this will work better for me than regular JUDD which I tried previously. Down days were very difficult for me on regular JUDD.

MUDD looks like this:

B: UD, L: UD, DD, BD, L: DD, D: UD and so forth

I may either do this or regular JUDD with higher calories on DD.

I don't know how did I get the big grins in my previous message. It looks like I was laughing at my self Maybe that was the sign that I am not ready yet for MUDD. This morning after I stepped on the scale, I decided to do regular JUDD till I get this weight off. I will be doing higher DD calories, as last time I was struggling with only 500 cal.
Weight this morning was 134

Today is my down day on JUDD so eating about 800 calories

B: 2 eggs cooked in 1/2 tbl butter
L: 4 oopsie rolls and 3 oz lamb burger with little mayo
D: 2 oppsie rolls with 1.5 oz lamb burgers

UD:

B: 2 eggs, 1/2 tbl butter 200 cal, 1 carb
L: 4 lamb chops 480 cal
S: This was totally not in plan but I allowed myself to have it: 2 oz mac nuts and 2 small fresh figs. I figured I will measure the nuts and drink lots of water after I finished eating them and it worked. They did not spike any cravings maybe because I had these right after eating meat. 408 cal, 25 gr carbs
D: 1/2 baked wild salmon 322 cal, 1 cup lettuce with 1/2 tbl EVOO 68 cal

total calories 1478, 25 gr carbs

I said yesterday that my weight was 134. I looked at my notes and it actually was 136.4, todays' weight was 135.4 (thanks goodness DD did the trick).

Day 3 on JUDD and I am doing good so far.

Today was a down day -calories were 647 today and zero carbs. I skipped the lunch as I did not even feel hungry.

DD:
B: 1/2 baked wild salmon 322
L: X
D: 9 oz pan fried haddock in 1 Tbl butter 325

total 647 cal, 0 carb

Went for 30 min walk in the morning.

I see the scale moving down and this makes me

L: salad (lettuce, cucumber, 1/2 lb baked salmon, 2 HB eggs), dressing (1 tbl mayo, 1 tsp mustard, 1 tbl yogurt, lime juice, 2 tsp olive oil) 700 cal/7 carbs
D: 600-800 calories left- eating out

Stats nice re-starting JUDD:

D: will probably be leftover 2.5 oz broccoli and 5 HB egg whites for about 120 cal

trying to stick to 500 cal, if possible.

Exercise- 35 min JNL Fusion Upper Body and will go for for 30 min walk

Scale was up slightly today and I was expecting to be lower after yesterday's down day. Well, I guess it is water weight from lifting weights. I have some nice upper body DOMS. It could also be my PMS.

UD today:
B: 3 eggs cooked in ghee 300 cal/1.5 carbs
L: veal scallopini with mushrooms 456 cal/3.25 carbs
D: veal scallopini with mushrooms, turkey, cucumber and cucumber pickles 793 cal/9 carb

total 1548 cal/ 17 carbs

day 1 DD 136.4
day 2 UD 135.4 23.1% body fat
day 3 DD 134.8 23.1%
day 4 UD 133.2 22.7%

Today marks one week since I started JUDD and I have lost 2 lbs since starting. Even though my weight has been gong up slightly since last 2 days, I still have lost 2 lbs in a week.

Today was a DD and I have decided to fast till lunch time. I did OK in the morning, just little stomach growling otherwise I felt great. I started to get hungry about 1 PM and broke my fast then.
I exercised in the morning on the empty stomach. First I went for a nice 40 min walk and than did a DVD: KCM Start Here (30 min).

B: fasting
L (1 PM) cauliflower/celery root soup 37 cal/6.5 carbs
turkey breast 160 cal
S: (3 PM)2 pickles and small cucumber 15 cal/3.75 carbs
D (5 PM) 2 egg omelet cooked in 1/2 Tbl butter 200 cal and 5 oz steamed broccoli 50 cal/9.4 carbs

total 460 cal/18 carbs

I am still little hungry, but will try to ride it through without eating. I can always have the soup I made in the morning (for only 37 cal), although the carb are little high. Will try to stay strong if I can.

Today is UD. Very welcomed after yesterday's DD.
I went for a 40 min walk on the beach this morning. My hormones are acting funny with me. TOM is here (not in a full course- little spotting here and there). Now I know why the scale is moving slowly.

Oh Boy! I am have been STARVING today. I don't know what's happening. I am not craving any carbs (thanks goodness) but I am just hungry all day today. I did end up going over my calories, but I figured I better be very well fueled to tomorrow's DD.
I had my breakfast around 8 AM and was ready for lunch at 11 AM. Dinner at 5:30 pm and after dinner snack at 6 PM

B: 3 eggs cooked in ghee 300 cal
L: lamb shoulder chops 400 cal, soup 37 cal/6.5 carb, 2 eggs cooked in butter 200 cal
D: Salad (lettuce, turkey breast, cucumber, onion, 2 HB eggs, homemade dressing) 513 cal/6.5 carb
was still starving so I had more turkey with HB egg and cucumber 393 cal/2.5 carb

half an hour later still starving and I did not wanted to eat another egg (already had 8 today), so I ate 2 oz of walnuts and am finally satisfied.

total 2213 cal/ 23 carbs

Confession, confession-I did binge on fruits after dinner (1 nectarine, 2 plums, 2 cups yogurt w/little honey). I thought I fed myself well today. I should have eaten even more protein.

Lesson learned: When still hungry after the meal, eat more non-carby foods to avoid binging later on carbs.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Surprise Surprise the scale is down this morning .8 lb. I really was scared to step on it this morning as I was expecting a water gain.
I really don't want this one incident turn into full blown binge and I fell I have it under control.
The interesting thing is, I did not feel like binging on carbs yesterday I was just genuinely hungry and did not listen to my body.

Lesson learned:
Eat more non-carby foods when you are hungry, even thought you will go over your calories, it is still better to have more eggs than start munching on carbs.

Today is DD and a little challenging as I have a birthday party to attend. I wont know which restaurant it is till the evening. I will be sticking to hard boiled egg whites today and will save most of the calories for the evening. I am sure I can always find a salad in any restaurant.

I went for a 30 min walk this morning.

OK, last night dinner out was great. I ate small salad and baked cod with peppers and onions (really nice). I am not so sure about calories count but my guess it was around 400 cal, so that would make my DD yesterday at around 700.

This morning scale is up slightly. I am planning my UD menu so that I am prepared in case of carb emergency

So far this morning I had 2 egg omelet cooked in ghee, lunch is cooking right now- baked wild salmon and brussels sprouts greens. I never had those, I found them at the farmer's market yesterday. I usually love brussels sprouts. The green are quite though like kale so I cooked them first with garlic in olive oil and then added some water and covered and cooked for 20 min.
Dinner- not sure yet, probably some lamb (burgers or shoulder chops).

I did well yesterday only till the afternoon when I started binging again. I tried very hard not to get into fruits. I just ate more meat and fat and but after 2 hours the cravings were stronger than me. So this morning feeling disgusted with me myself, I have decided that all carbs have to be out of the house. I packed all the nuts, fruits, yogurt and honey and in the bag and gave it to my husband to take it to work. I told him to leave the nuts there and only bring back the yogurt. I don't want to see that stuff during PMS. Today is DD and I am doing well (sure I am so stuffed from yesterday). I think if I don't have these foods around me, I will not binge (although I know I can just get in the car and buy it, but I WILL NOT!!!).

Exercise:
Firm Core Cardio 1
30 min walk

Eats:
B: 2 oz lamb burger 92
L: 2 oz turkey, 5.5 oz baked cauliflower, 5 oz dill pickles 175/12 carbs
D: leftover cauliflower and turkey 175/8 carbs

Been a good girl yesterday and today

Today is an UD:
B: 2 eggs coked in ghee, 3 oz lamb burger 370
L: 8 oz lamb kebabs, lettuce, cucumber, onion, feta cheese, olive oil 416
S: 2 HB eggs 150
D: 700 cal left, will have have some kebabs and cucumber

Exercise:
Firm Hare
walk on the beach

I will check my weight only once a week (every wednesday)

I really love those dill pickles, they take of the hunger and have so little calories

I was really hungry last evening. I ate my main meal around 2 PM and then had few pickles rest of the day. I did stay strong and did not eat anything. I told myself- "you will eat tomorrow". This morning went for 1 hr walk on the beach. It was great
B: lamb kebabs (around 600 cal)
L: celery root and lamb curry (around 600 cal/20 carbs)- this was divine. I made the lamb curry on Saturday and it was even more delicious today. I cooked it this time with sour cream instead of yogurt and it really made a difference. I loved the celery root. It is a great substitute for rice or potatoes (which I don't eat)
S: 3 eggs cooked in ghee 300 cal

Don't have much cal left for the rest of the day. I think dinner will be salad.

I have been following leptin reset for the past 2 weeks and have lost 4.5 lbs. I had first binge-free PMS in the longest time. I was just more hungry but did not binge (I just ate more food- NOT CARBS). Hope this was not just one time event, I really need to get the grip on my PMS binges. I know that I may have to do the leptin reset for some time to take an effect. So far I am really enjoying it.
I eat HUGE BAB breakfast (my largest meal of the day, it feels more like dinner). The minimum you should eat is 50 gr of protein, but I do best on at least 70 gr. It is working, the breakfast really takes care of any cravings.

This week I have incorporated JUDD with 2 down days a week. Will probably stick with 2 DD a week for the time being. My DD have higher calories (about 700-800), this is mainly due to a high protein/high calories breakfast.

I am keeping carbs low on most day (0-10 carbs a day), because I really don't crave them. I eat the carbs if I my body tells me it needs it. Sometimes I even have an apple or a starchy veggie (25 carbs a day).

Weight is coming down nicely. I started at 134 on Sept 20 and today I am down to 128.6

I did 2 down days last week. I think I can stick to this modified JUDD. I can manage it, since my calories are about 600-800 on down days.

I have not updated my journal in some time. I have been doing well with leptin reset and JUDD. I eat my BAB (high protein breakfast) on both dd and ud. BAB on dd almost fills my calories for the day. So far I am sticking with minimum 60 gr of protein at breakfast. Lately I have to force myself to eat this much. It is a lot of food, but it does makes a big difference in controlling my binges. I have only binged once on fruits and got back in control the next day. Interestingly, I binged on the day when I did not get enough protein in the morning. So, for the time being I am sticking with the high protein breakfast.

I am doing JUDD with 600-800 cal on DD. UD varies from 1200-1800 cal as I am not very hungry after the huge breakfast.
I have been walking daily for 30 min.

leptin reset:

week 1- 134.4
week 2- 132
week 3- 129.8 (added JUDD)
week 4- 128.8

Having some good days and not so good days. I have been reading a lot over at Kruse's forum today and am going to try the BAB starting tomorrow. I am also thinking that I will go with 30 carbs a day as I know from past experience that fat and protein eaten alone does not satiate me over the long haul. Actually, I guess I should not even claim to be doing the reset as written. I know I will not eat within 30 minutes of waking and will probably continue to exercise as well. Overall though I do see the BAB as being the key to curbing hunger/cravings.

Sticking with the leptin reset and JUDD. I try to walk everyday for 30-60 min.
Here are my numbers since starting leptin reset a month ago
